If I were someone who paid top dollar for tix to see Kobe Bryant play in his only game of the year in New York, I would explode.

Stern (and Stu Jackson) is a punk who continues to get away with his own agenda.

I'm really starting to see why people stop watching the NBA all together.

There is no other league where the league office and the officials have so much power.

And there is absolutely nothing we as fans can do about it.

Overreact much? The reason the NBA has lost fans is because uptight yuppies can't handle black basketball players that have 'tatoos' and wear 'doo rags' whilst they listen to their 'rap' music. They prefer their entertainment in nice digestible bites, covered in helmets, silent and disposable.

At least the various markets got to see the rebounding beast that is David Wright . . . I mean David Lee. Also maybe this gets E.City some votes.

Y'now, for center. The guy who is developing into the most dominant center in the East?

Exactly. Choirboys like Shawne Merriman, Terrell Owens and the 2006 Cincinnati Bengals.

you barely beat us on your homecourt with 3 of our starters out. Knicks are indeed terrible.
Curry has a strained calf and is day-to-day, Marbury has knee tendinitis in both knees and wasn't supposed to play, and Q-Rich was out. Recordwise it doesn't look good but Knicks always play hard and rebound, it's when they turn it over and don't hit FT's they get in trouble.

Curry's calves are always going to be strained with all that weight they are carrying. And QRich being out :lol Thats like us not having Sasha. Q is garbage.

When Sasha starts recording double-doubles and guarding the best defensive player on the court well, then you're right.

Overreaction?

No, I wasn't yelling, wasn't upset. My statement was simply how I feel.

Stern is a punk who is trying to sell product.

The NBA is product.

He is about putting a face on the game. Right now, that face is Wade. He is the 'golden boy'. He is squeaky clean and marketable. If the same play happened with him, I'll bet there would be no suspension.

Everything isn't equal. That is the problem.

The NFL isn't marketed that way.

As much as I hate them, the Patriots won 3 Superbowls. The officials didn't (and don't) directly influence the outcome of games. (of course if you are a Raiders fans, you may dispute that.)

I like the NBA, but I WANT to LOVE the NBA. I really do.

But crap like this continues to erode the experience for me.

That is all.

Austin Croshere with 31 points. :lol

Something Keith Van Horn could have never done.

Dirk had an awful night (3-12 shooting), but Croshere was there to pick up the slack.

Sasha is a beast waiting to be unleashed.

speaking of beasts waiting to be unleashed, the last time Kobe was suspended he followed it up with games of 48,50,45, 41,27,31,22,and 37 points, followed by the legendary 81 point game. Be aware, NBA.

Don't tell that to Seahawk fans.

I am a Rams fan. WE LOST to the Patriots in the Superbowl. Anything can be seen if you really look for it. I could say the officiating was weighted in the Pats favor. But the fact remains, (even though they get some insane, almost supernatural breaks all the time) they WON those bowls.

When NBA officials DECIDE to DIRECTLY influence the outcome of a game, like they have many times, it is bad for everyone, fans included..

HUGE BLOCK BY JEFFRIES ON COOK'S 3!!

. . . and Cook smashes him in the face after the shot. That's a suspension. :lol
:lol WTF Lakers.

"Hey guys, Kobe got suspended for smacking someone in the face, let's try to not randomly flail about like pansies to draw a cheap foul"

*Cook does his best Kobe impression*

why don't you go rub some Robitussin on Yao's leg!

Isn't Stu Jackson the one who handed out the suspension? What's this got to do with Stern?

I hate Stu Jackson. He is a failure at everything. I suppose I could see him handing Kobe a fine because I could see some people seeing that hit as "unnatural baskeball motion" but ****, even the Spurs knew it was unintentional. Kind of like Stackhouse's foul on Shaq last year, all the Heat players said it was a good hard foul and he went ahead and suspended Stack anyways. What an asshole.

I don't believe in player FAVORITISM but I do believe in player-hatin. If a guy like Artest or Rasheed does anything small, the punishment is automatically more severe. But I don't believe in this "Dwyane is the image of the league blah blah blah" And if anyone, isn't that supposed to be LeBron? The LeBron that has better endorsements?

Better endorsements?

Yes. I agree with you.

Not one player in the league gets Wade calls. I know you are a Miami fan but even you see that.

But I agree with you, the Sheeds and Artests of the world can't sneeze witout getting T'd up or suspensions.

He gets the most bullshit calls, I see that, but come on, when you drive to the hoop as many times as he does, there is no doubt that he'll get the most.

I'm not saying that I support these bullshit fouls, but in every game I've watched this year, I've had to roll my eyes because of ridiculous fouls that referees call around the basket for everyone...even for guys like Fabulous Fabricio.

He gets more "help" from referees cause he is fast so that deceives refs, and drives to the basket the most. I have honestly never thought that there was specific player treatment, just that the referees are such pieces of shit.

Of course, the NBA has to clean up its act. And Wade doesn't need to be fouled much to be a beast. Ask the Bucks tonight.

"GIMME THE ****IN' BALL! GOSH!!!"
He knew better than to anger the sleeping beast that is Sasha.

That and his @ss was on the bench due to foul trouble.

You just gained respect from me with that post.

You aren't a mindless Wade fan.

You at least acknowledge the questionable fouls.
