I think some trophies are bugged to be honest. You get one forplaying 50 single player rounds without doing a co-op or battle. I've done nothing BUT single player since I got the game and it's up to ~100 rounds now and still no trophy.MrPliskin said:

I think the platinum is pretty much impossible for me if the game doesn't give me a hint where to find the last missing items. And the last few cousins and presents are pretty tough, too.

Sooo, I've seen the pal version in a store, and I was wondering if this game was really worth 50 euros (almost 74 $). Never played a Katamari before (shame on me), but I like what I've seen in the vids. Is just this game about rolling ? What are the nicety things I need to know ?

So in going for this 2 Million trophy, I think the answer is actually making all the other planets bigger, which will make it easier. Star dust helps, but it'll take waaaay too long to make a bunch of star dust to hit 2 mil. It think it'd be easier replaying levels and making those planets bigger.

I'm a new-comer to the series and I'm finding the game very satisfying and addicitve.
I have gone to bed for the past few nights itching to play a level I have struggled on in order to get 100-120 points!:lol
Usually I give up with games that challenge me but with this is is different...I feel compelled.
The game is a bit weird though in terms of how stuff unlocks. Tody I unlocked Eternal Mode for a level when I only scored 50 points...but yet I scored 100/120 on another level and unlocked nothing.

Yeah, the requirements to unlock certain modes seem a bit random.
I also have trouble to figure out what level can be played in what mode. I know I'm missing some more Classic Katamari playthroughs, but for me it seems I finished all Eternal runs and yet I didn't get a trophy. I wonder what level I'm missing.

Eternal runs don't give you a Trophy.
You'll only get a trophy for finishing Katamari Forever and Katamari Drive mode.
I think unlocking Eternal and Classic is based only on chance. Either that, or each level has specific requirements you fulfil.
I can vouce that none of the following is going to unlock Eternal:
100-120 points
All Presents and Gifts
Multiple Playthroughs
Failure
More Failure
Less than 100 points

Scrounged up some cash to pick this up. However, whenever I play through a level I get upset at the final score knowing I can do better, so I repeat that level until I get the top one possible before continuing. :lol
Should I bother continuing with this style or just try to finish all the stages first before going for scores?

I already got 59k in the punishment minigame, just finished Eternal mode and am five or six levels away from the Classic trophy. The only thing that really bothers me is the item collection. I'm currently at 95% and I will probably get as close as 98% or 99% to full completion, but then I don't see me finding the last few items left. :IMrPliskin said:

This has probably been the most difficult level I have encountered in the game...I have played it like 4-5 times now and just can't complete it. :/ which is good for getting my mini-game practise in...
It a massive level but with very few scattered things to collect/pick up...It seems to be all about taking a certain pre-determined path, and knowing where to go rather then making it up as I go along...but this one has me bewildered.
I had a friend come over today...he has told me the time limits in this version of the game are actually shorter then the previous versions and was quite impressed with my progress and even said I may have beaten some of his scores...

That's my impression, too. I just re-played the levels where one or two modes were apparently missing and it would usually unlock them after 1 to 3 playtroughs. I couldn't note any pattern or system behind the unlocking. Pretty weird, but not too troublesome in the end.MrPliskin said:

Just found the last present. The only trophy that is separating me from the platinum is the one for completing the item collection. Dunno if this is Yay or Nay. :I

Anyone have any luck cheesing the punishment stage by just staying in one of the corners and selecting the smallest cousin?

Selecting a small cousin and staying at either side of the stage is a good strategy, but you may want to move your character occasionally to actually get to the 50k.

I don't know. Just look at the cousin menu and chose whoever appears to be the smallest. It's not that significant since your character will be really small anyway after getting hit two times.

I got the endurer trophy just now! Thanks! I never thought of choosing a small cousin... I probably played it around 20 times before and the highest I ever got was 38,000. Tonight I purposely picked a small cousin got to over 50,000 on my second try! Random side note: While I am on the topic of small... The tenseness of the 50,000 point run made my weiner shrink to the smallest it has ever been. This happened to me once before on my way to getting the "Playing To Win!" (10 ranked wins in a row) trophy in Street Fighter 4... :lol
