KONAMI GAMER'S DAY 2007 INFO
_____________________________________________________________________________
Yeah, it's that time of year. The key to weathering a Konami Gamer's Day event is to hold the central truth in mind that, at it's heart, it is KONAMI that is doing the announcing. That means if you enter expecting to be disappointed, you will be satisfied with what happens.
Konamiursdayton:
According to Bozon-IGN's blog (http://blogs.ign.com/bozon-ign), the "conference" of sorts should begin around 5 PM PST. That's 8 PM EST for those of us on the East Coast. He expects to be able to deliver news as it comes, so it doesn't seem as though there is any type of NDA in effect. We'll see.
What we already kind of know:
● Castlevania. The Castlevania series is one of gaming's most treasured, and apparently TWO games are in the works regarding the Battle of 1999. There is also a PSP game in the works, but we're unsure if it is related to the Battle of 1999 storyline. Rumors of a PSP remake/recreation of an older Castlevania have reached fever pitch. (Article)
● Kobun Heat, aka Chris Kohler, wrote that he heard that Konami has a "bunch of Wii games" to announce. Whether this is Virtual Console titles, new IPs, sequels or ports nobody knows. (Article)
● We also know that there are many untitled games Konami announced in the previous year that have to be given names eventually. Will it be Suikoden? Will it be Winning Eleven on PS3 or Wii?
