If the game would LET us host, then some of us would.Flo_Evans said:I feel like I am always hosting though
momolicious said:HOLY M<OLY! NOBODY told me about down the site aiming with L1 , i was jus guessing the crosshair in the middle of the screen!! omg insane

PS2 + Router = Banana Land
Already tried that.Sinn Fein said:Just put your ps2 in the router's DMZ, or open the UDP ports it needs. Didn't give me problems after that.
Same problem here... I don't understand why router are so tough to break (I mean, voluntary trying to break your own firewall)...ArcadeStickMonk said:Already tried that.

TDM in the cabin board is lame. If I didn't keep getting Sokolov (even tho I was killin') I would have left.
Yeah, I don't like that level that much... I was one of the wanabe sniper at first, but then I got bored. Oh, and you kicked my ass hard that IIRC...ArcadeStickMonk said:Yo Gribbix, Defensor, Laurent and crew: What kinda circle jerk did I interupt in the the forest? No one moved or spoke.

I think he meant the typical sentences like "GO, GO, GO!" or "Defend the target" which, I admit, can be a funny way of interacting with others...Gribbix said:I'm assuming I need a headset to be able to hear others speak since I haven't heard anyone speak since I bought the game. I already checked to see if I had inadvertently muted everyone but that doesn't seem to be the case. As for the non-moving: sorry, I admit I kind of stood around for a bit while waiting for someone to make a move.
You were on my team in the cabin. True Blue for-eva-evs.Laurent said:Oh, and you kicked my ass hard that IIRC...
I wasn't refering to the cabin game, but on the level before or after that, we switched teams...ArcadeStickMonk said:You were on my team in the cabin. True Blue for-eva-evs.
Brown Town is where I shine, I think; such an unfortunate name.
Solution: Either snipe through the windows or lob a few WP grenades indoors.ArcadeStickMonk said:"Let's NEVER leave the cabin!"
M3wThr33 said:Uhm... I'm pretty sure I had it, but it shouldn't matter anyway. You'll be in first-person more anyway.
Daigoro said:Um... pretty sure it didnt.
and it did/does matter to me. i found it quite annoying after having adjusted to the new (and preferable) camera option.
why would i be doing CQC from first person anyways? who said i wanted to shoot her?
Daigoro said:WTF is with no 3rd person cam for the Boss battle?!
you get used to the new camera through the whole game, and suddenly it isnt an option in the last battle. annoying shit.
BigBoss said:That really bothered me as well, I thought my R3 button was broken because I couldn't switch over to the 3rd person camera. :lol
Reilly said:personally, I don't know how anyone can use the 3rd person camera for combat. I think it sucks all around and the game is unplayable using it.
M3wThr33 said:If you do the last fight right, you should need to do CQC very very few times.
If you keep your distance and roll after every double sniper shot, it's all easy.
What would be funny is if the game was programmed to check if your ISP is american. But since american journalist had no problem playing the japanese game on japanese servers, it's probably something else...Snowball said:A strange thing that happened to me. Could you help?
I have a PAL PS2.
I bought the US version of MGS3:Sub (Pal is out in 2 months).
I've used ID CONVERTER from Paradox to change my ID to a US PS2, in order to play US games (I did the same to play ONLINE Hot Shots Golf Fore! and others)
This way worked in past.
Now I was trying METAL GEAR SOLID 3: SUBSISTANCE.
I was able to access the ONLINE page.
Then i try to connect but I get an error.
-ERROR 864-
I tried to re-create the Network Connection but i got the same error.
Why doesn't it work?
Thanks for help!

Run up to a waist high box and lift yourself up onto it; do this five times.M3wThr33 said:Bad controls? What? No.
Nooooooooooo.Zaxxon said:They probably should have taken out the "go up against walls" thing entirely though, since there is no point to it in multiplayer
Zaxxon said:My favourite move in multiplayer is to throw someone into the ground, and then hard stab them as soon as they get up. Instant kill.
typo said:Some call it cheap... depends on who you talk to.
Flo_Evans said:I don't really think there is anything 'cheap' in MGO. It is really frustrating to get thrown down and knifed, but you should:
a) not let the person get that close to you
b) CQC them
c) not get up immediatly and mess up thier timing
