haha perfect. We have our KG fan, Kobe fan, and Gasol fan.

Man, if he wasnt Spanish, I dont think Id root for him. I dont think hes soft, but I do think he fucks up a whole lot.

me and my friend are playing a drinking game where we both take shots everytime Rondo finishes around the basket instead of kicking it out...we are both completly sober :|

Yeah cause without Gasol they would have reached the Finals anyway right? ... Oh wait

THE TEAM is playing like shit dude, Gasol is no different, and neither is Kobe, or Odom, or Vlad, or...

Yeah yea yea, team this. Team that. Ubuntu, I got ya. But seriously, Pau hasn't won a single fight for the ball all game long and very few the entire playoffs. The Lakers are really hurting from the lack of an inside presence on both ends of the floor. I wouldn't hesitate to say that PJ Brown has been more consistent in helping his team during this series on both ends of the court and doing things that won't show up on the stat sheet. Hell, Old Man PJ has abused every bit of the all-star since the series began. And outside of Pau, who's going to hold down the paint? Mihm? Maybe the rapper... He'll get his few points tonight like he does every night but his overall impact on this game, this series, has been minimal and at times almost detrimental.

why do you hate tiger again

Same reason I hate the Lakers, Pistons, Yankees, Patriots, etc. Hate seeing one person or one team dominate (when it isn't my team, haha). The Lakers hate also stems from taking Shaq Daddy from us and then our ensuing collapse.

Plus I think he's a whiny little girl. I don't watch golf much, so I don't know how common his bitch fits are in comparison to other golfers... but his annoy me. I do like how he cheers for my Magic (well, at least goes to the games).

Bennett admits he has no legal out. dun dun dun.
"I never envisioned that I would be sitting here today," Bennett said. "We knew there would be risks."

Lawrence asked: "Did you intend to honor or breach the lease?" and Bennett replied: "We intended to honor our obligations under the documents." He also said he intended to honor the lease to the extent of the law.

When asked if he knew of any provisions of an escape clause, Bennett said: "None that I knew of."

:lol :lol expert picks are great. Golden State v Dallas was an awesome one too
That was even funnier because many (if not most) Mavs' fans knew the dangers of playing GS. Gotta love the experts.

:( I am leaving this thread now for a couple of weeks, I may lurk, but I will not post. Waves Laker white flag in shame.

End of the day I feel happy for the Celtics. With this team they might win it again next year, but if the Lakers keep their core plus a healthy Bynum, they have the ability to win a title at least one more time in the next few years (if not dominate)

If Kobe manages to win this somehow for the Lakers then I say they deserve the championship.

However, if the Lakers don't take control and really start hammering the Celtics within the first 4 minutes of this quarter, then it's pretty much over.

this is the match I have been waiting for!
It gets better.
Bennett admitted he never considered a renovated KeyArena as a successor venue. He said he did not concur with Mayor Greg Nickels' plan to remodel the building.

Lawrence said a KeyArena renovation was going to cost $200 million. Bennett said Renton and Bellevue were chosen as possible sites for a new $500 million arena from a list of 30 possible sites.

Lawrence said the $500 million arena would have been the most expensive arena in the NBA. Bennett admitted that he did not have legislation, a detailed arena plan ready to submit by Dec. 30, 2006 to the state Legislature. Bennett admitted that he missed the Feb. 1, 2007 deadline and was given an extension.

Lawrence asked Bennett if he considered extending his Oct. 31, 2007 deadline to move the Sonics since the team missed deadlines with the Legislature. Bennett said no.

I agree, if the Lakers don't win they're done for the series.

I'm out of this thread for the rest of the night, if I don't report to the off-season thread I've killed myself.

Well Celts fans, congrats on the win.

[magic] the Lakers will have a chance to win if they win [/johnson]

I would feel better if someone else other then the Celtics beat the Lakers for the Championship. They're like a mercenary team, sorta reminds me of the 04 Lakers where all the old non-champs wanted to try to win one but only this time they did.

Not really. None of them went yo the Celtics they were all traded for..

I fucking hate the Celtics, but I'm ecstatic right now. Rivers out-coached Jackson. Pierce outplayed Kobe. The Boston bench has balls and the Lakers bench curled up into a fetal position. Where are all of the Lakers fans at? You know, the ones that said the Lakers defense was underrated and were positive they would beat the Celtics?

Where are the Kobe MVP chants? That's right, he disappeared. I can't wait for him to throw his current teammates under the bus and start demanding things. He's been exposed. He's no Jordan and he still can't win without Shaq.

People are still going to hate on him, but I defended him...
