Brilliant. I hope that traitorous bitch remains one too!

hey guys, i'm a vikings fan too, let's focus on that and all the superbowls they've won

and I do go through some heartache as a yankee fan, being from new jersey, we're surrounded by the most annoying fans in the world (that includes yankees, mets and red sox). it's impossible to have a coherent argument with anyone

I'm sorry but the Lakers' bandwagon closed a couple days ago!

reilo was the last member onboard after defending Kobe against Ab

wait, he's a lakers fan and he's getting on me?:lol
was i not supposed to take him seriously?

Good god man, you must be an idiot to think that I am a Lakers fan. If you don't even know which team I root for considering you are a "lurker" then that is quite pathetic.

is there an initation process i don't know about?:lol

should i join in the offseason or just keep giving you guys ammo, cuz either way i'm enjoying this

I'm a bit pessimistic, so...Lakers in 6.

Melo's blood-alcohol level is higher than their chances of winning the series

Edit: well, looks like Lakers and Thuggets are playing on Sunday at 3:30pm EST. But...why did they put Raptors vs. Magic on national TV?!

Lakers and Yankees fan. Oh what heartache you must go through. Are you sure you're not a Pats fan and whoever's good at hockey fan while you're at it?

Steelers, Pirates ( :( ), Penguins, and Lakers :P Didn't get into basketball until I moved to I moved Southern California..

What do you think is the biggest problem facing the Lakers going into the playoffs?

How many minutes per game will Coby have to play to give them a chance to win it all?

Just for the record, now that my LOLcats are all partying with Sean May at the pre-draft lotto jamboree I've decided to announce my intentions on whose bandwagon I'll be hopping on to shortly.

You didn't exactly endear yourself amongst the regulars here with your first post.

Go Magic!

depth at center is one concern, if gasol gets hurt, they have no chance whatsover. and frankly i don't trust anyone except kobe and gasol to score with any sense of consistency. I don't trust lamar odom at all, one day he's a monster and other days he's just ok. Other than that, i think the lakers are in a good position going into the playoffs if they keep their focus. there's not that many weakpoints on the team, and the bench, while not awesome, can still hold their own

we really should have had two separate playoff threads, one for each conference. i don't want to see any talk about the EC playoffs

The Wiz are going to beat Cavs in 6. Book it. Everyone keeps saying that the Cavs beat them 3 years straight. Yeah, thats true, but each time they were taken the distance by Wiz teams that were completely decimated. Plus Lebron seemed to get Wade treatment from time to time.

Lakers over Denver in 5
New Orleans over Mavs in 7
Suns over Spurs in 7
Utah over Houston in 6

Boston over Atlanta in 4
Detroit over Philadelphia in 6
Orlando over Toronto in 6
Wahington over Cleavland in 6

Does the word, DEFENSE, mean anything to you?

Also, how many points does Coby have to average for the Lakers to be successful?

Anyone else feel sorry for the Hawks? They are going to get murdered. First time in the playoffs this century, and they draw an angry, ridiculously talented team. They won't come within 20 points.

I can't wait til Kobe gets that first technical :lol

He won't be suspended. Counter is reset for the playoffs.

Casual fans don't watch defense.

Technicals are wiped clean for the playoffs. He has to get six now before he gets suspended.

Toronto vs Orlando is gonna be amazing too.

2 of the best 3 pt shooting teams (though Toronto has been shit from 3pt line lately) going at it.

Who's gonna hit the most 3's? Soo many bombers!

Orlando:

Rashard
Turk
Evans
Bogans
Cook
Reddick
Nelson

Toronto:

The whole team!!!

Moon
Delfino
Calderon
Parker
Bargani
Kapono
Ford
even CB4

------------

Though the real spectacle is gonna be seeing how Superman and CB4 perform!

Yeah, Dwight and Bosh always seem to have the best games when they're up against each other.

Edit: Another thing, by looking at Redick's stats its just... weird. For a guy so efficient with his minutes he should definitely get more playing time but damn. There are times when he goes 2-3 weeks without seeing more than 15 minutes total. Meanwhile, Bogans' numbers are incredibly erratic and he's not exactly known for stellar defense either. I hope this turns into JJ's coming out party.

Raps with yet again the most NBA TV games..but that's to be expected as we haven't proven anything and we're in Canada. This is our year! We're playing for respect!

It hurts the franchise as far as exposure is concerned, players never see Toronto on national television in the States, so negative opinions and misconceptions are formed. That's the issue here with the lack of coverage. I'd say winning would remedy this, but the networks gave the Raptors one (?) national game after their breakout season last year? It accomplished nothing, and there was no way of really knowing they'd regress.

On a related note, I wish we could catch the American telecasts, I'm so sick and tired of Swirsky and his brownnosing, I want to listen to thoughtful commentary and analysis, dammit.

Dun dun dun.

“This was definitely a win we wanted to get,” Nowitzki said. “The Lakers are probably the hottest team in the West. We definitely didn’t want to face them in the first round.”

i don't know what the fuck that is. i thought i wanted the nugs, but maybe i didn't account sufficiently for the mavs' ability to psychologically defeat themselves in advance

Dude count to 5, maybe punch a wall (but not too hard, I know that from personal experience) game 1 hasn't even happened yet and it's going to get so much worse before it gets better (if it does at all).

See, this is exactly what I was talking about earlier. I might have to avoid Nba-age for a while.
