I'm counting 5 names on this last page I've never seen around these parts before... smh.

Boston has zero chance of winning the championship. Kobe, Paul, West, Manu, and Parker have all stepped up in the playoffs. Boston's "big 2 featuring Ray Allen" has vanished.

I still have faith in my Celtics. I don't think the Pistons are the favorite by any means.
Well, don't forget, the Celtics had the highest margin of victory in the first round, even though it went to seven games.

I'm not saying we have a 100% shot, but I see no reason why the best team in the NBA couldn't go toe to toe with anyone in the western conference.

There is NO way the Celtics are getting past Detroit..

Seriously?
You base it on their Pistons' victories over the powerhouses of Phili and Orlando?

Hell no, I base it on the way they've historically matched up the last few seasons as well as this season with different teams, moreso in the regular season which isn't always a useful measure but is not meaningless. I also think it's entirely relevant that the Pistons "path" has been easier up to this point than the western conference teams. it's easier to play a sharp hard hitting series when you've had a few days to rest before hand, especially if you're a veteran team. The Pistons would also have home court in the finals and we've seen how important that has been so far this regular season.

Don't get me wrong, the Pistons looks like the best team on the Eastern Conference right now, but they've beat no one in this playoffs.
The Spurs and Hornets made Phoenix and Dallas their bitches.
Honestly, I don't see the Pistons being favorites against the Spurs, Hornets or Lakers.

Hmmm let's see, better record/home court, swept the Hornets (by around 20 points on average) and the Spurs (by an average of 7), split the series with the Lakers (the loss to the Lakers coming without Chauncey or McDyess), most likely going to be better rested, yeah, I can't imagine the Pistons being the favorite.

I'm not going to count Boston out of any series. Yeah, they're offense is wildly inconsistent but their defense still allows them to blow people out. Sooner or later the offense might come around but good defense like that still can't be ignored.

New guy is absinthing it up eh? :lol

Wow. I welcome the NBA frauds to the thread.

Uhm, I guess we are frauds because we actually follow our favorite teams religiously through the good and the bad and don't just show up when they are in the playoffs like so many bandwagon fans like you.

No wait, you've been lurking for a while, right?

It's always possible. For the record, my previous comments were "assuming the Pistons win the ECF" which I think they will, but then that's why they play the games.

Hey GAF: He's been here since 2004. Have any of you see him post in the NBA threads when the Celtics sucked?

I think you might of been the one that grilled me months ago a few times. I've been a Celts fan my whole life. Good job guarding your internets.

lolok.

It's okay. You'll disappear soon enough anyway once the Celtics have an early playoff exit.

Wow you are seriously defensive. I'm sorry posting on an internet message board offends you.

This WNBA commercial is awful.

"Expect Great." What kind of retarded slogan is that? It's not even valid grammar. :lol
I think they are waiting for the season to end so they can use that NBA piano music. PR came up with that slogan quick.

Chicks in Portland don't get that way.. they get cranky and bitchy... but so do the guys. For example.. Reilo.

And other guys drink margaritas and turn into chicks themselves.

WHAT NOW

So I'm assuming you two are Trailblazer fans? Meaning you are waiting for the eventual bandwagon to jump on? :D

What an awful possession that was by Cleveland. Wallace gets the ball on the three-point line, gives the ball to has-been Wally in desperation, who gives it to Delonte with like 2 seconds left on the clock, who then bricks it.

Really? I've never met those guys.. I usually drink margaritas and get chicks. *Shrug*

By the way, have you been listening to 95.5 The Game? I honestly can't stand listening to it. AT ALL.
