This has already been gone over several times.

1) Kobe said he would like to play for Dallas, but only if Dirk was there as well. He would have vetoed the trade.

2) Even if that trade went down, Dallas would have had too many shooting guards and not enough front court players. Plus, Josh Howard and Kobe Bryant on the same team is a nightmare.

I don't think Perkins would be able to stay on the floor at all. LA has been putting excellent pressure on opposing front courts. Even with KG, I think Boston would have the worst luck containing the real Big 3.

Thanks for ensuring that the Lakers will sweep the Celtics in the finals in one is sure to be one of the most lopsided finals in NBA history.
