That would be a good excuse except MJ carried his team and beat Utah in way worse physical condition than Kobe would ever play in.

Well, you bitch about the refs screwing Portland even when they're not playing.reilo said:Spurs and their fans bitch at the refs even when they're up by 24 huh?

obijkenobi said:Eh. They beat them there in the regular season. By the same token, the Hornets haven't proven they have been able to keep up with the adjustments that Pop has come up with, not to mention Duncan looks tons healthier now.

jobber said::lol game 6 is going to be carried by the team's local FSN station
does this mean ESPN isn't showing game 6?!
VanMardigan said:Hate to point out the obvious, but they HAVE to win in NO to beat the Hornets.![]()
Gaborn said:Exactly my point. Originally I was responding to someone who said if the Spurs win tonight it's over. I'm not sure that's true if they lose game 5 (they could still make it up in game 7 of course but still that wouldn't be great odds for any team). So, my thinking is if the spurs win game 5 then it will be over, but if the spurs lose game 5 then I'd say the series is over the other way (practically speaking).
reilo said:If one team wins 4 games, then the series will definitely be over. Maybe.
Cloudy said:No one expected a gm 6 :lol
Gaborn said:That's short sighted. The spurs haven't come CLOSE to proving they can beat the Hornets at home, game 5 is in New Orleans, as is game 7, if they win this AND game 5, they will likely win.
effzee said:well its my prediction.
its just the spurs way. they are too good and i see them winning one in NO to win the series.
reilo said:If one team wins 4 games, then the series will definitely be over. Maybe.
Gaborn said:It's possible, either way I figure the winner of game 5 wins the series.

When there are blatant bad calls, anyone can complain. The reason the Lakers shot a lot of free throws in Games 1 and 2 is because the Jazz commit more fouls than any team in the league. Those fouls shouldn't stop being fouls once the games move to Utah.jman2050 said:Lakers fans have about 0 room to complain about refs in any game.

The Chosen One said:I'll say it again, these playoffs have been boring for the most part. Too many blowouts. The Laker/Jazz game was only the second game to go into overtime. Remember when people said the Spurs/Suns series was going to be the best first round series ever? Things have gone down ever since.
EDIT: EJ has some funky toes!
woodchuck said:Sorry to upset you guys, but the AL and NL playoffs (not including the WS) are going to suck.
Since the regular season was so amazing with all the different storylines like tonight's game, or the Mets' collapse, this only means the playoffs will be a letdown.
That's pretty much how it works in any sport.
But you guys can expect the World Series to be amazing since the other rounds will suck.
