Huh? Tim Duncan vs. Kevin Garnett is a wash. Manu beats the fuck out of the playoffs version of Paul Pierce. Tony Parker owns Ray Allen any day of the week. The San Antonio bench is of course superior to the Boston bench.

i said i can see them winning it all. didnt say it would happen.

CALM DOWN NBA-AGE.

sure they CAN win the next 2, its possible, but what have the Celtics shown you thus far to make you believe they will win a game 6 in cleveland? They are just terrible on the road. I don't see how you say they could " win it all easily" either. They can't even beat the fucking Hawks "easily", you expect them to go into Utah, LA or San Antonio playing like this and come out champions?

because they were not terrible on the road in the regular season. and now it will be the only thing the media will want to discuss for the next week. if they win game 5, i think they come back with renewed intensity to win game 6.

just one man's opinion/prediction: celtics vs spurs.

The problem the celtics are having is that they turn into a jump shooting team on the road.

They didn't do that during the first 3 quarters, which is why they stayed in the game with Cleveland.

Come 4th quarter, they went to the same shit that lost them all of their previous road games.

Also: Allen, Pierce, and Rondo are all shooting under 35% in this series.

shouldn't they have done that against Atlanta though? Like i said, it could happen, the Celtics are a superior team to the Cavs, but im not putting any faith in those Boston Chokers anymore. It would not surprise me to see them win game 5 by 15+ points and then come back and get beat again in Clevaland in game 6. In fact at this point thats what im EXPECTING to happen.

I thought Kenny had a great point. Celtics are a great front-running team. They can blow teams out but they crumble in close games. Kinda like a bully, they when teams fight back..

has there been a larger "Exciting player:boring games" ratio than Lebron James? For being the most popular and exciting player in the league his games ALWAYS degenerate into boring ass low scoring games that would make Jeff Van Gundy bust a nut.

Once he makes it to NY he'll be less boring to watch and generate even more hype than he already has.

Celtics need a decent point guard, Rondo has been destroying their offensive flow. Pistons are gonna destroy them.

Actually, now that I think about it, is there an East team besides the Pistons that have a good point guard?

I think T.J. Ford would be pretty good if he wasn't being shuffled around like a deck of cards with Calderon.

Of course, there's also Arenas, but I don't think he counts this year.

Is that even possible?

Edit-Calderon is a good pg. Arenas is not a pg, not even close to it.

Detroit would kill Boston, but I don't think they can beat the Cavs. Especially if Billups' hamstring keeps on fucking up.

There's no reason to believe that Billups hamstring is going to be anything less than 100%. After the Pistons crush the Magic tomorrow they're going to have several days to rest while Lebron fights for his life against the Celtics. Whichever team comes out on top is going to face a very well rested and committed Pistons team. Not to mention of course that the Pistons beat the "new look" Cavs 2/3 times they played in the regular season.

Three 2nd round series that could go to the full 7. And the Orlando-Detroit series would be tied up if that cock-fiend Tayshaun hadn't hit that stupid shot to win it.

Don't ever underestimate the media in generating hypes, especially with the .coms and the bloggers.

Plus he'll be playing in NY.

Bitter much? If the Magic didn't have so many turnovers and they hit their free throws they'd be in the series, but they didn't. They're losing, the Pistons are winning, because the Pistons have played better in all but one game.

Hamstring injures are reoccurring and aggravating. It's one of the worst injuries an athlete could have, not in terms of severity, but in terms of re-injuring oneself.

You know, even if it's true that the Pistons own the Magic so badly, don;t you think you're getting just a *bit* ahead of yourself?

But seriously, the celtics NEED to stop throwing up threes every time they get down by more than one possession on the road in the playoffs.

Rondo and Allen need discipline in that regard.

Sure, just a little bit, though the Pistons are 14-3 following a third victory in a series since 2003 so I'd say history is on my side. The Pistons are at home, I believe Billups will be back (Arnie Kander, our strength and conditioning coach is one of the best in the league) and should be effective. Even if a worst case scenario happens and we lose game 5 I feel rather confident in a game 6.

Absinthe - Sure, but this hamstring doesn't seem to be particularly serious. He wasn't really moving when it happened and Arnie Kander (our S&C coach I mentioned above) has said the injury isn't that bad, he actually thought Billups would be ready for game 4.

Of course if Lebron keeps shooting cold like he is in boston, Detroit will sweep the Cavs.

I like that scenario. I hope the Cavs beat Boston!

for all the hate i give lebron, that dunk was NICE

but lol, i like how the commentators were trying to say LEBRON IS ON FIRE when he makes like one shot after bricking 5

i doubt Chris Paul would say something like that seriously. he was probably just joking around

if he was really frustrated, he'd just punch Bowen in the nuts

Has he even been practicing? If he hasn't then I can't imagine this guy is in game shape.

If he plays it'll be limited minutes anyway.

Edit: Same old D'antoni

Wants Knicks to run. And possibly looking to aquire Diaw and Barbosa again.
