Has he even been practicing? If he hasn't then I can't imagine this guy is in game shape.

He's been doing some light 1 on 1 with Brian Shaw I believe. Rambis said that Shaw was being a little too aggressive than the rest of the coaching staff would have liked. I guess Shaw forgot how he broke Radman's hand last year.

Will the media SHUT UP about Kobe's back? At the Jazz shoot around all they did is ask, "What's it like to play with a sore back?" or "Do you expect Kobe to be back at 100% and effective?"

The other thing that's irritating me that the longer it's been since game 4, the worse he was hurt. After game 4 Kobe said, "no excuses" about the injury and said it was limiting, but no big deal. Now he's going on about how it was all he could do not to curl up in pain.

NO MORE!

Dude, you need to calm down.

This isn't even worth a post imo.

The media likes to make stories when there are no stories.

It happens.

Wonder who Suns going to hire to replace Pringles.

Well, one positive thing about D'Antoni going to Knicks is his offensive system will inflate all the garbage players stats. Then by the trade deadline, those inflated stats will trick other GMs into making stupid trades.

I actually agree with Father David on something for a change.
On the subject of the NBA's infatuation with pregame pyrotechnics, smoke and noise, commissioner David Stern was loud and clear: He's had enough.

"I think they're ridiculous," Stern said Monday before Game 4 of the Cavaliers-Celtics second-round playoff series. "I think that the noise, the fire, the smoke, is a kind of assault that we should seriously consider reviewing in whether it's really necessary given the quality of our game."

I value everyone's contributions and want them all around. That's why I hate ban bets around here!

Gaming side is full of dreck so the ban bets are a useful way of culling the idiocy quotient.

Lies. You don't value Absinthe or his contribution.

I think we had a bit of a spat over the Cavs trade this season.

Other than that my memory is failing me. Maybe a player evaluation or 2 here or there.

If he plays it'll be limited minutes anyway.

Edit: Same old D'antoni

Wants Knicks to run. And possibly looking to aquire Diaw and Barbosa again.

:lol Well the Knicks should be entertaining this year at least.
I am beyond annoyed that we brought D'Antoni in... when the Knicks had no problem scoring into the triple digits. What hurt them all year was perimeter defense. Our starters don't play it, Nate would easily get abused, and then if the opponent drives, who's going to stop them in the paint? Curry? (:lol)

Looks like another year of going to Knicks games to watch the other team. (Going for Boston, going for Lebron, etc.)

Look at the bright side. When the Knicks adopt the 8 seconds or less strategy, there's going to be so many fast breaks from clanked jump shots so the Knicks won't even get a chance to play defense.

I don't know about that. :lol
On NBA-AGE, probably. I don't see other people going out of their way to hate.

He's caught using a derogatory term for gay people. It doesn't show at whom it's directed, if anyone, who knows with KG. But I'm just a member of the KG Defense Force, so my opinion on him is always invalid.

No ban bet, but I feel pretty good about the Jazz's chances. I just hope they don't give Kobe too much room to play in game 5. He is not THAT hurt. In fact, he could be more dangerous in his condition if Kirilenko and Brewer start playing away from him, thinking he will be disabled somehow by his back being 'out'.

I think he will still put up 30 points, but the Jazz are going to shut down Odom and the bench and will take it by 5 points.

oh, I see it now.

Yeah... I'm not going to defend that comment, but I've said it before: KG has the dirtiest mouth in the league, by far. Doesn't mean it's okay, but when you have season tickets to a team where KG plays for 12 seasons, you get used to it :lol

(And FYI, i'm pretty sure he isn't a homophobe or gay-basher, if that's what some people are trying to get at here, which I'm sure they are.)

E:60 is still on TV? I thought it was canceled?

Anyway, predictions: I'll say Pistons wrap it up and the Lakers take the 3-2 lead.

The Knicks were capable of scoring, but they did so very inefficiently. Defense is a bigger problem, yeah, but if D'Antoni can make your offense respectable, you guys will be much improved.

This Detroit crowd has no energy at all. The team itself is bad enough to watch, but this just compounds my misery.
What? The Palace provides Detroit with one of the best home courts in the league.

Lakers forward Trevor Ariza was medically cleared to practice and did so for the first time since sustaining a broken bone in his right foot on Jan. 20.

Lakers Coach Phil Jackson said it would probably be a week or two before Ariza was ready to play in a game.

uh...we may not HAVE a week or 2 dumbass!:lol

That's an interesting trade and I'm not sure if Phoenix would bite. Diaw and Barbosa tend to disappear, that's for sure. I would have personally tried to part with both of them much earlier. I'm not sure if they'd want Marbury though. He'd make a decent back-up, but he is nothing but trouble. They'd probably ask for Crawford, but the Knicks would never do that.

Boston is going to slip up pretty soon, folks. You can't keep on playing with the mentality of, "We don't have to win on the road because we win at home." If they lose a close game or if they have an off night at home then they're fucked. Cleveland really should have won that first game and I'm positive they could win in Boston.

Somehow the Dirty (Pau), Sexy (Bynum), Money (Kobe) thing isn't just here GAF. The guys here have been calling Odom, O.D. - The highs & the lows as they say

We already lost Stealth Fox because of some of these people on here.

I hate watching Keyon Dooling play, he's such a waste of athleticism. He's like the Gerald Green/Kirk Snyder of point guards... Just imagine if he was good. Damn.

It really does say something when I'm literally begging for Jameer to be on the floor whenever Dooling plays extended minutes.

To me its an admission that they are ready to rebuild(if it goes through). Marbury isn't anywhere near the worth of Barbosa and Diaw, especially with the shitty rotation that Phoenix runs (although that'll get deeper with a new coach).

To me, if your bringing him in, just admit defeat and put Nash up for trade while he still has value. But this is what D'Antoni wants, not what Phoenix wants. But if Phoenix actually accepts that trade, it'd have to be the last straw for those fans. Management fucking ruined a promising team. It still has life, but this could be the dagger.

To me, Boston is in trouble, and their mentality is fucked up, but it seems like they are a lazy team that gets it done when they have to. I have no doubt that if they did slip up and lost a game at home, they'd win every game left against Cleveland. When they are truly pressured, I think they will step it up.
