Robinson and Crawford are great too.

I can't wait to see Nate get some burn in D'Antoni's system. I've always likened him to a Barbosa type, but more explosive and powerful on both ends (though obviously Nate is not as effective when driving, as he has a tendency to try to go right at much bigger players, resulting in way too many blocked shots). But the guy has a hell of a motor on him, he's an efficient outside shooter, he's got a pretty great handle, etc. Not a great distributor, but could be a nice combo guard for Mike.

But Eddie Curry, Marbury, and Randolph must go. They're dead weight.

Marbury can be stored away for the season 'til he expires (or, more likely, traded for contracts that don't go past the magic Summer of '10), I don't consider him so much dead weight as I do an asset. He's not a guy who you really have to deal with; you can shove him aside like Isiah did this season, and the most damage he'll do is chirp to the NY beat writers he has in his back pocket.

Eddy is a guy I think might be worth keeping around, at least for now. He showed flashes last season of being able to run and keep himself in the game foul-wise and in terms of moving the ball around when he got it in the post. Unfortunately, he's a guy you've got to baby: he has to get his touches to keep his mind right. Get him used to running up and down the court, give him plenty of chances to make decisions with the ball (take the good with the bad when you do that), and he could be an effective presence until D'Antoni can get a center more suited to his style.

Zach is pretty much a lost cause, though. Beyond being a strong rebounder, he's pretty much the opposite of what you'd expect Mike D'Antoni to want in a player.

Now that you mention it, it is. Esp Duncan missing a lot of shots he should be making. But we still have Bowen on Peja. Peja is shooting better though

I think this well be a blow out in the 4th for the Hornets.

I don't think so

Spurs did this last year vs. the Suns

they were down 12 going into the 4th and pulled it out

It depends if Pop pulls the starters at the start of the 4th

Exact same game as game 1. Down to missing wide open threes in teh second half. Think I'm going to call it a night and get laid so I can forget about this. Later guys.

West owning the shit out of Duncan... Spurs should've signed Rice when they had the chance.

An old team with an inexperienced PG and a crappy coach is struggling on the road? No!

Considering their record in the regular season on the road (I know, I know, the playoffs are different, still, not THAT different) yes, I'd say it's a surprise. Did YOU think they'd be 0-5 on the road at this point? Did you see any possible way (short of Garnett, Pierce, Allen, Cassell, and Perkins blowing out their knees) Atlanta would have taken them to a game 7?

Spurs are getting punked but NO gets every touch foul inside while Parker is getting molested with no calls.

This game was over when the Spurs got in the penalty so fast to start the 3rd and Spurs couldn't play defense anymore..

an old team that won 66 games in the regular season and was the clear frontrunner that every nba analyst and their mother predicted would win it all?

i guess its not a surprise anymore after the hawks got them to game 7.

I think the tempo was set by the fact that the first possession the Hornets had saw them get fouls on Duncan and Bowen. Right there I knew the Hornets were going to get more fouls called. But to give the Hornets credit, they did a good job on limiting Parker.

WTF how is that a foul on Manu?
