Hornets are about to win with 6 pts total off the bench and just 13 combined from 2 starters. Incredible..

Game 6 is going to be emotional.

38 pts for west, no way in hell next game he gets anywhere close gonna call 15 at the most. Spurs are gonna come out and take it back to NO and prove once and for all they can repeat.

Tim Duncan has looked awful for most of this series. I never thought I'd see him get dominated on both ends of the floor like this..

He's getting doubled as soon as he touched the ball

I mean even if a play isn't for him, still a double.

I don't know why we didn't attack the paint more like games 3 and 4

Maybe West's back and Tyson's knee will hobble them in game 6

Spurs gotta trail at the half in game 7

THEY MUST

fuck

start the bench

Those "playoff-tested". "been here before, know what to expect", "wannabe dynasty" San Antonio Spurs just got bitched out for a 3rd straight time, the exact same way, in New Orleans.

wow. spurs dynasty is over. konex, prepare the horry jersey burning.

The Spurs just need a better bench. It's like Barkley said, they rely on Parker, Duncan, and Ginobli too much. If one of those guys has a bad game then the Spurs don't have a chance.

:lol

Seriously though. Why the hell shouldn't we expect the same thing to happen in Game 7?

Who the fuck are you and why should I not kill you right here, right now?

So, I'm just gonna write this game off because Joey Crawford was the ref. Game 7 we'll show 'em.

In other news, what the fuck has happened to Timmy? Seriously, how is this even possible?

Go fuck yourself, Salt Lake City.

I'm glad he's representative of all of Salt Lake City...

And yes, Fisher lied. Don't even try to debate that. If he wanted to leave, the very least he could have done is asked for a trade so we could get SOMETHING in return. The guy didn't even make an attempt to hide it, he went straight back to LA after we saved his rotting ass from Golden State. So yeah, we have plenty reason to boo the guy. We're not booing him for his situation, anyway, it's about the fact he went back to LA. We should have said he couldn't sign with any western teams or something. LA would have lost game 1 or 2 without him, so it's bitten us pretty bad already.

And as a side note, 99% of the Laker fans at games 3 and 4 were fat and sporting goatees in a lame attempt to hide that double chin. Classy.

Yes, Utah has some classless fans. Shocker. Notice that one jackass in the stands is doing what nobody else is. It's just that the most crass in the stands are also the loudest and stand out the most. Another shocker.

EDIT - and according to that Larry H Miller article on ESPN on Sunday, he believes Fisher was honest in his dealings with the team.

Bitches, I don't ditch class to hear you mother truckers whine about the lack thereof it in the stands. You want some, go back to school!

Show me a quote where he said that he wouldn't sign with another team. Until then, you should shut up about Fisher lying his way out of Utah.

I believe that Fisher's intentions were mostly honest. I seem to recall that he even said he wanted to get a contract with a team that had a city with a great hospital that had specialists in retinoblastoma care. LA was an obvious choice, but not the Clippers. :)

CLEVELAND -- On the subject of the NBA's infatuation with pregame pyrotechnics, smoke and noise, commissioner David Stern was loud and clear: He's had enough.

"I think they're ridiculous," Stern said Monday before Game 4 of the Cavaliers-Celtics second-round playoff series. "I think that the noise, the fire, the smoke, is a kind of assault that we should seriously consider reviewing in whether it's really necessary given the quality of our game."

Really David? Of all the bullshit that you have allowed to run through the NBA and all the shenanigans you've let owners pull over the years, the one thing that really pisses you off is pyrotechnics? Really?

Another thing that annoys Stern is the nonstop loud music and other noise that isn't generated by fans.

The only loud noise that annoys us real fans is the bullshit coming out of your damn mouth.

He said he wanted to look for a team closer to where his daughter would be receiving treatments in New York. Talk radio had him saying that he needed to be in New York often, so it was heavily implied he was looking to go to either New Jersey or New York. We all were sure of it. A short (and yes, very short) time later...BAM! LA Lakers.

Everybody knew he'd sign with another team, but nobody in their right mind figured he'd go to a city 1,000 more distant than New York. It didn't make sense.

he wanted to go to a larger city w/ better specialists. NY was were his daughter was initially, but i don't recall hearing that was the only possible place his daughter could be.

most articles around that time mentioned '6 or 7 possible cities' that he was looking at. He lived in LA for at least 8 years before then, it made sense he would look at LA as the most likely candidate. I am sure the Lakers were more than OK in taking him back after the very good season he had in 2007.

Salt Lake City has one of the best children's hospitals in the entire world. Anything and everything she could have needed was right here except for what needs to be done in New York.

I'm just saying it doesn't add up. I mean, come on, you guys know you have excellent hospitals, what if the exact reverse happened to you guys and you watched the guy hit 5/5 3-pointers in game 2 while scoring 22 points in a tightly contested game? Pretty much the same thing goes for game 4. You don't think you'd feel a little burned? Get real.

I like Fisher. He and Gasol are fine by me, but it doesn't change the fact that his whole story is a bit sketchy. Yes, I'm glad his daughter is getting proper treatment, let that be known, but she would have been just fine here.

Actually it was always known it would be LA or NY. He said that if he played it would be in one of those two cities. So his choices are Knicks, Nets, Clippers, and the Lakers. One team loves him, NEEDED a pg and had the best chance of being a playoff team. Hmmmm... tough choice.

Boo him. Call him a liar. Call him an asshat. But don't make fun of the man's ill daughter, is that too much to ask from people?

Oh, and for the record, I've never booed the guy when he's come back. I've actually clapped for him during player intros, but I really don't fault anybody for raining down the boos. They didn't even boo him in game 4, however.

That one guy covering his eye is out of line, but I hardly call that atypical for any NBA arena. Some jackass is always going to take things to a personal level.

This.

and I totally respect his decision. I always hated him before he came to the Jazz, but now I really respect him. Very talented all around player.

"All the tubes that have been in her throat, sometimes she'll have trouble breathing, she always has to fight it," Fisher said.

It is these intense checkups -- every four weeks at Children's Hospital of Los Angeles, every two months at Memorial Sloane-Kettering Cancer Center in New York -- that is keeping them strong.

Could she have received the same treatment in Utah that she gets in LA? Maybe but I doubt it. The fact is that Fisher is a father first and basketball player second. I have no doubt that Fisher made his choice on where to play with that in mind.

Easily. Look up Primary Children's Hospital if you care.

It doesn't really matter though. It's done, time to move on. Just don't tell me that he couldn't have helped the team out a bit and at least let the team explore some limited trade options. We got NOTHING out of it, and he's helping a team out that we're matched up with right now.

the team decided to release him. They knew damn well that he was almost a lock to go to the Lakers.

Last spring, in a whirlwind of events that captured the attention of a nation, a cancerous tumor was discovered in the left eye of his infant daughter.
wow, that dumbass utah fan couldn't even get the right eye right.

I did. Its ranked behind Children's Hospital Los Angeles in the US News 2007 best hospitals and a whole new building thats going to beat the shit out of every other hospital will be finished by 2010. I think Fisher went with the better facility.

All parties involved gave their blessing. Utah was fine with it. Fisher was fine with it. The league was fine with it. i don't know what is so sketchy about it. What is your theory that Fisher wanted SOOOO badly to get of of a Western Finalist in Utah and on to a Laker team w/ Kwame Brown starting at center that had just gotten swept out of the 1st round that he lied about his daughter's condition and used her as an excuse? Cause if so, thats a pretty fucked up accusation to be throwing around just cause you're feeling "burned".

I only wish that Jazz fans would be this outraged with Boozer.

But I guess it's not really stabbing a man in the back if he won't see you stabbing him in the front either, right?

Why would Jazz fans be outraged with Boozer?

i don't think Boozer did anything wrong either. The Cavs were just trying to be cheap by signing him to a smaller deal than had they let him become restricted. Business is business. If Boozer had blown out his knee that season would the Cavs have still kept their end of the bargain?

AlteredBeast said:

The whole lying and betrayal thing. Isn't it a bit hypocritical to accept one player who betrayed another team and hate another player just because he left your team?
