lol, i read his posts and all, but all he said was a certain demo wasn't good, but all the other fanboys jumped on him then it got blown out of porportion....he just defended his opinion, but rex grossman is just :lol .

I can't wait for Monday night, going to one of the open practices. And it's Oklahoma drill night, if people don't know what that is, it's basically one-on-one hand-to-hand combat between an offensive and a defensive lineman(sometimes it's other players). Also called a "Pit Drill". Always a blast to watch and really gets the crowd worked up, almost like a Gladiator fight.:lol

Already one of the announced matchups will be Marcedes Lewis v Justin Durant. Linebacker v Tight End. Should be awesome.

Does GAF set up a Pick 'Em league every season? If not, we should. After juggling 4 and 5 Fantasy teams the last few years, I have vowed to just focus on one this year. But I'd love to get in on a Pick 'Em competition. See who really knows their stuff.

well the answer is actually maybe....i myself as a eagles fan wouldnt rank them that high right now. it all depends on injuries...on paper the talent and depth they have they should be 4rth on the list.

if kearse stays healthy
if darren howard stays healthy
if bunkely plays like the first round talent we believed he was

thats a lot of IFs but again on paper we have some names and depth. we also picked up reagon and ian scott.

another big IF is IF reid actually runs the ball so we are not a long ball or 3 and out offense which leaves the D on the field way too much.

The San Francisco 49ers announced Thursday that they have claimed and were awarded safety Darnell Bing off waivers from the Oakland Raiders.

Bing (6-2, 220) spent his entire rookie season on injured reserve after being selected in the fourth round (101st overall pick) of the 2006 NFL Draft by the Oakland Raiders. The former University of Southern California safety saw action in all five preseason games last year before suffering a neck injury during the final contest. At USC, Bing played in 37 games with 35 starts for the Trojans in his three-year career, totaling 182 tackles, eight interceptions, three forced fumbles and three fumble recoveries.

WHAT HAVE YOU DONE RAIDERS!? Don't know if he'll make our final roster but I've always liked htis kid, and I think we were poised to take him later in the 4th round when the Raiders snagged him at 101(we had invited him out to SF and everything). We aren't going to **** him up by putting him at LB either, uh-uh, he is gonna play Safety.

A small risk signing for us that could turn out big.

So much for Oakland's "all-safety" defensive scheme...
 
as long as we dont keep him at LB i like the signing. it is a low risk signing and we do need FS help. i didn't want to take him in the 4th round last year, but as a FA pickup with nothing to lose i like!

ahh how much i hate training camp. it officially signals that the season is here but you get so excited and then it comes and then you read the reports from camp and everyone looks so good and you get soo excited.....then comes preseason and your even more excited and then you watch and your bored by the 2nd qrt....and then finally.....after a month and half from now the season starts.

and poof its gone just like that.

no other sport does this to me.

I was thinking the same thing... pre-season threads usually go up around this time of year. Hell, the first preseason game is a week from this sunday!
 
lol i'll never forget all the great plays from that game in seattle last year. but out of all of them (deion branch getting knocked the **** out, alex smith faking out the entire stadium on the naked boot, alex's unbelievable flat footed throw that went appox 50 yards IN THE AIR while getting pressure on the money to battle) the one i may remember most is when frank gore got that simple 8 yard gain and wouldn't go down, then like 5 or 6 seahawks all tried to gang up and take him out and he would not go down and the refs blew the play dead, but he was still never taken down. seachickens are a joke and frank has more talent and determination in one of his pubic hairs than the entire seahawks organization has had in its history combined. go niners!

I love Sky TV.

Finally, all timeslots for NFL games will be broadcast, and all of them on the same channel (and through the whole season), with a decent number of alternative games. And NFL Network programming too.

Finally I too can be bored to death by shitty preseason games featuring teams I don't care about! Truly this is a joyous day.

How would you treat someone that invokes the Konex Kurse on your team? The proof is undeniable. The Giants were 5-2 I believe before the Kurse and then as we all know, 3-7 after it.
 
was the fix in during the superbowl between the seachickens and the steelers? ever since the NBA thing started i can't help but feel one of those NFL refs needed some money....
