I think it's fair enough to start this debate.

Worst 2-0 team in the league: New York or Washington?

It's a tough one, but I'd actually go with Washington. They've played some horrible offenses, so I'm not entirely sure about whether their defense can carry them to any more wins. New York at least has the players to theoretically be good on offense.
The Giants are THEORETICALLY good on offense?

I'm sorry, but maybe you guys should look at the standings and look at what team has scored more points this season than any other.

They've scored a lot but their yardage is near the back of the pack. They're getting the benefit of opponent fuckups early in the season. They've got talent at wide receiver(Two excellent number 2 receivers don't equal a good number 1, but Toomer and Burress are a lot better than what some teams have), an upper-level running back and tight end, and a young QB that has shown flashes of being pretty good. They could be a good offense, yes. The fact that they've scored more than anybody else doesn't mean they are the best offense, or even a very good offense. It means, more than anything else, that they blew out the Cardinals in the opener.

Dallas got paid back for the game last year where they threw the go ahead TD with like 30 seconds to play after not doing really anything all game. Im not too discouraged with this game but they have got to get a little more agressive on offense when they have the lead. I dont think they threw one ball near the end zone when they were inside the 40. oh and penalties were a bitch to them this game too.

:lol

I think you're just jealous we may have a better team than you.

And yeah, the Steelers have really played the cream of the crop teams. The Titans, the Texans... watch out, they might beat the Browns next!

Man is it a funny sight here at work today, people are all smiles and grins like the Redkins won the Superbowl last night(I work in DC for those that don't remember and yes I know the history of the rival, the last time the Redskins won in Dallas was with a QB whose career ended up being nothing), there are a few Cowboys fans who are of course catching hell.

All in all it's pretty amusing to stand back and watch.

If you are referring to the Steelers you are on crack. I was not impressed with the Giants offense at all last night. The Steelers simply dominated the teams they played in almost every facet of the game and the games were both over in the 2nd quarter, you just can't compare the two teams. The Saints simply handed the Giants that game and Eli looked good at times but he also looked average at times and scared of taking the hit. Eli could be good as he definitely has the talent to make some throws and also to move around a bit, but you can see he isn't comfortable out on the field at times (though that might be worsened by the fact that he looks like he is 5 years old).

I think someone needs to cue up the tape of last years meeting between the Giants and Steelers to bring you back down to Earth.

This loss will mean nothing come their 2nd game with the skins. The Cowboys had them beat and let the game get away.

As a member of the twelfth man the Cowboys will be facing, I say "bring it on!" :)

Bring me back down to earth? You barely won that game, a team that ended 15-1 barely edged out a team that ended 6-10 and it will bring ME back down to earth? :lol :lol :lol

So what you are telling me is that the Steelers manhandled the Titans and the Texans. That the games were over in the 2nd (our first was over in the 3rd, last night was over in the 1st), and that the Saints handed the Giants the game (meaning, we won the turnover battle, just like the Steelers did). Is that bad fundamental football?

The fact of the matter is this, we don't have near the personnel the Steelers do, and we're still 2-0 having faced teams with better talent than the Steelers have so far. When you guys say we beat cream puffs I can't help but wonder if you've seen your last two games. Eli may not look comfortable on the field because *SHOCK* his O-Line isn't as good as Ben's O-line. That may have just a tad to do with it. Just a tad. Running for your life does make someone look a little uncomfortable.

I wonder how long this love affair between giants fans and Rothlesburger will continue. :lol That draft pretty much created a rivalry out of nothing.

I didn't see the first game, but last night I didn't really see Eli running for his life last night. He did face some real pressure, but he missed out on some big plays because he seemed to be avoiding the hit instead of making the play.

And I didn't feel the Saints were out of it the entire game, they were moving the ball a lot and missed some gimme field goals. I did feel the Giants were the superior team, maybe no physically but they looked to be a lot better coached and more mentally prepared (the Saints killer every year). So no I thought the Giants player a fundamentally good game, but I am not convinced yet (hell I am not convinced of the Steelers yet if that tells you anything, it is only week 2 and one or two bad breaks or injuries can end anyone's season).

Regardless the Steelers get New England on Sunday and after we squeak that game out I think even you will be hard pressed to not be impressed. The Pats are going to try and put the game on Big Ben's shoulder so one of us will be talking shit next Sunday (hopefully me :D) and I doubt Tom Brady is going to play as shitty as he did last week, but I hope he does. :D

One last thing I have to say is that obviously the Texans and Titans aren't the greatest teams on the planet, but notice how horrible everyone says those two teams are AFTER they played our defense? I think a huge part of why they looked so horrible is because of good Steelers play. Notice how the Titans raped a supposed Superbowl contender in Baltimore a week later. Lets see if the Texans look better next week too.

I never understood the hate they have for Big Ben either.

Please do not use the Ravens as an example... ANYONE who thought the Ravens were a SB contender obviously did not actually WATCH any preseason games... they just noted the healthy D returning and the WR acquisitions... somewhere along the way folks didn't seem to notice that our O-line aged and while we picked up a few rookies we've given them shit for playing time and did little to upgrade the O-line in general.

Bionic: The Texans looked horrible after the Bills owned them too. ;)

Coughlin is a good coach and is known to coach up his players. This is exactly what the Giants need, they still lack confidence, all they need is a small win-streak to get them going.

Anyone who says that they started well last year and then floundered is a fuckin' moron. Switching from a veteran QB to a rookie learning the system kind of does that to you. I think they will at least finish 8-8.

"You can say I guaranteed it, yes,'' Peterson said Monday, hardly traumatized by San Francisco's 42-3 loss in Philadelphia. "I think we're going to play well. I'm positive we're going to win, to be honest. ... We're going to go out there to win, or they're coming out here to lose.''

dont hurt 'em too bad JP!

He never said anything about the Cowboys! He was actually talking about his friends coming to visit him. They were going to play some Madden and he guaranteed victory. Dont blame JP for the media reading into his quote!
