i know im a little late but :lol Sage Rosenfels and :lol the Raiders. I've finally found a correct analogy for JaMarcus Russell. He's the Kwame Brown of the NFL. He's got all the physical tools (though Kwame never got fat) but you can tell he has no idea what to do with them. He doesn't just looks like a green QB, he looks lost, and so far behind the curve of what a rookie/2nd year QB should play like. JaMarcus Bust-el comfirmed.

No, you're right. The NFL has been successful in spit of its management b/c it is a fundamentally sound game. All the pieces work great, and it is a sport that appeals heavily to the male psyche. Stuff like celebration penalties and such make no sense given that the game is a spectacle. There's so much more they could be doing that they're not. PEACE.Big-E said:

Wow, a rare NFL tie. Let me comment on two stupid NFL rules that came into effect on that game.
1) Not showing the game in all markets that originally wasn't showing it, after 4:15. Yes this IS a rule, based on the TV contracts signed. It happens all the time. The network who has the double header game is only allowed to keep that game going past 4:15, basically as a non-compete clause to prevent everyone from watching the end of a close game on another network and ignoring the doubleheader network's second game for that week. Another stupid NFL decision.
2) Overtime is broke (besides the obvious coin toss reason), even though ties rarely happen, the last was like in 2002, these games shouldn't end in ties. If anything ties should be rid of due to the convoluted playoff scenarios you have to read through at the end of the year. "Tennessee needs a WIN to clinch the division, or a Indianapolis loss or tie, or Indy and Jacksonville to both TIE." Wow. NFL overtime football is about the worst system for deciding a regulation tie in sports.

I don't know why they don't adopt the college system. At least that way both teams have a chance at it and you either win or lose. The way it is now, it can be down to the luck of the draw.
