I would call it an epidemic of QB meltdowns in the AFC, but I don't count VY as a QB.

Shrinking Merriman out for the season!

Sun, Sep 14
CHI @ CAR - Daylight come, baby!
TEN @ CIN - Collins gives them a better chance to win. He just wins games. Collins futures!
GB @ DET - Greenbay is the more balanced team here.
BUF @ JAC - Jacksonville just plays horribly against division teams. Wheels are still on! Nothing to worry about!
OAK @ KC - Can't get out-coached when the other team has Herm at the helm!
IND @ MIN - On the one hand, you have an Indianapolis defense that couldn't handle Forte going up against one of the best backs in the league. On the other hand, Rusty Peyton vs TJack = no brainer!
NYG @ STL - Rams are fighting to be contenders for that #1 pick!
NO @ WAS - I would never put money on Jason Campbell.
SF @ SEA - Seattle is playing poorly and they just lost Burleson. That just means they'll win, but it won't be a blowout. Get me some points, Frank!
ATL @ TB - This is a hard pick. This could be the huge turnaround ATL fans have been waiting for, but I can't put too much stock in a win against the Lions.
MIA @ ARI - Kurt Warner will make Arizona a sexy pick
that eventually fails
again! Also: http://i38.tinypic.com/53a68i.jpg
SD @ DEN - Kermit Turner's time is over!
BAL @ HOU - Flacco's cannon arm and concrete dipped feet will defeat the quickness of Mario Williams. The tortoise always wins the race, guys. It's true. Look it up!*****
NE @ NYJ - Can't pick against my lifelong favorite team.
PIT @ CLE - Pittsburgh is probably playing the best out of the AFC teams and Cleveland is on the decline. On the other hand, Pittsburgh always plays down to their division rivals. They really are Jacksonville North! No, I don't care that they were here first!

CHI @ CAR - Coming off a clutch win, Jake looked healthy.
TEN @ CIN - Without Young, CIN control the ball.
GB @ DET - Rogers doesn't look in command yet. DET will capitalize.
BUF @ JAC - JAC are better than last week.
OAK @ KC - KC aren't as bad as they were last year. Oakland is.
IND @ MIN - Manning doesn't look ready for prime time. Yet..
NYG @ STL - STL looked awful last week. Bulger will play great.
NO @ WAS - WAS looked to have rust. I think this one will be good.
SF @ SEA - This can go either way. I think SEA still is better than SF. Not by much.
ATL @ TB - ATL is a .500 team. I don't see them running the ball as well this week.
MIA @ ARI - Pennington will play good. Their D will not.
SD @ DEN - SD I don't think will bounce back well from last week. DEN carry over.
BAL @ HOU - BAL won't carry momentum from last week.
NE @ NYJ - I still think we will take one against the Jets, however we will lose in a great game.
PIT @ CLE - They looked horrible last week. Offense will reignite.

Mon, Sep 15
PHI @ DAL - Philly I think is back to their form of several years ago. Their D will make Romo confused under pressure.

Last Week: 10-6

Holy SHIT that's terrible. Then again, Panthers won. So fuck it.

CHI @ CAR-Chicago's O-Line looked surprisingly good against the Colts, and Forte looks like the real deal.
Plus i'm superstitous and I bet against the Panthers last game. :)

TEN @ CIN-Why so serious, Vince? Wouldn't be surprised at all if the Titans look better with The Mummy at pivot.
GB @ DET- The Lions give it up easier then Kim Kardashian for camera time.
BUF @ JAC-JAC may be having injury probs, but that doesn't mean the Bills can take it on the road.
OAK @ KC- KC's defense is good enough to have JRuss on the ground panting. Then again, so is a flight of stairs.
IND @ MIN-Peyton will get redemption. Plus, T-Jack.
NYG @ STL- Stephen Jackson must wish fondly for the good ol' days, when he had no contract extension and his future with the Rams was unclear.
NO @ WAS- Nausea, Heartburn, Indigestion, Upset pick, DIAHREAA!
SF @ SEA- Hasselback hasn't been this angry since he noticed his hair falling out. Ruined his twelfth birthday.
ATL @ TB-I would take the Bucs all day but i'm not liking Garcia being questionable AT ALL. plus, Griese sucks. I think the Good Karma Train for the Falcs will continue.
MIA @ ARI-KUUUUUUUUUUUUUURTTTTTTTIIIIIISSSSS
SD @ DEN-Every sports show has asked the same question-"Are the Broncos that good, or the Raiders that bad? I say the Raiders are that bad.
BAL @ HOU-I ain't bettin' on Flacco on the road. It ain't be happenin'.
NE @ NYJ-The End is The Beginning is The Brady.
PIT @ CLE-The Browns are big, steamy, nutty, corny, thick pretenders. Poo.

Mon, Sep 15
PHI @ DAL-Cowboys are the toast of the NFC right now. Hate to say it.

9/16 Last Week, 9/16 Overall.

CHI @ CAR - Delhomme didn't get injured.
TEN @ CIN - Bengals.
GB @ DET - Lions.
BUF @ JAC - Still not convinced Buffalo is great or Jacksonville isn't.
OAK @ KC - Oakland playing like Oakland, yet again.
IND @ MIN - Dunno about the Vikings, but I can't see the Colts losing here.
NYG @ STL - Giants are good, Rams are not.
NO @ WAS - Saints on another up year, apparently.
SF @ SEA - Qwest Field will trump our weakness in WRs. BELIEVE!
ATL @ TB - With the Bucs' injuries I expect the magic to continue.
MIA @ ARI - Dolphins in a rebuilding year.
SD @ DEN - Chargers are still a good team.
BAL @ HOU - Home team advantage
NE @ NYJ - First step towards Moss's meltdown! Favre favres it up!
PIT @ CLE - Toothless Ben continues to perform after facial reconstruction.

Mon, Sep 15
PHI @ DAL - Cowboys at home.

Oh idunno cheating? Leaving the mother of his child? All the run-up-the-score-fuck-you-touchdowns?

Is anyone going to post everyone's records from last week? If not, I have nothing better to do and don't mind going back and compiling everything.

If there was such thing as karma, Big Ben would have taken the big dive in that accident for his Super Bowl thievery. However there is no such thing as it.

PACMAN, YOKO ROMO STIR UP THE EAGLES
Posted by Mike Florio on September 9, 2008, 5:06 p.m.

Monday night’s game between the Eagles and Cowboys suddenly got more interesting.

Cornerback Pacman Jones (who might or might not have been talking in a higher voice) wasn’t impressed with the fact that three Eagles receivers gained more than 100 yards through the air on Sunday.

“They played the Rams, dude,” Pacman said.

Though Jones’ words weren’t a direct slam at the Eagles, the girlfriend of quarterback Tony Romo (an admitted member of PFT Planet) declared her support for her beau’s team during a Tuesday appearance on ABC’s Good Morning America.

“Go Cowboys!” she yelled during her performance, later adding a message to the Eagles.

“That’s next week! We’re gonna kick your butts, too!”

Girlfriends of player’s talking smack on national television? Maybe that particle smasher thing really is going to trigger the Apocalypse.

haha pacman.

i hope the eagles players don't respond. do not say anything.

it's like the media wants to stir up trouble. what pacman actually said in the interview and what that guy is claiming aren't the same things.

it must be nice to be in journalism if you get to make up stuff now and not actually check your sources (like the whole jerry jones putting nfc championship game tix)

Last week: 10-6 (lol lions)

Sun, Sep 14
CHI @ CAR- Will the Bears D bring another upset?
no
TEN @ CIN- Wow, my sympathies to the individuals who will be getting this game :lol
GB @ DET- Aaron Rodgers goes beast mode and eats a child in front of everyone.
BUF @ JAC- I think Jacksonville is hungrier, but Buffalo could pull another upset.
OAK @ KC- I don't think KC almost beating NE was a good sign; for NE anyway.
IND @ MIN- I don't think Manning is going to comfortable at all during this game.
NYG @ STL- Giants should dominate this game. St. Louis got a owned schedule-wise.
NO @ WAS- NO looks dangerous....Washington runs the ball when you're down 2 scores with 2 minutes to go.
SF @ SEA- Seattle isn't this bad. Come on.
ATL @ TB- Atlanta has a great victory....against the Lions. I expect the Tampa D to come up big.
MIA @ ARI- Kurt Warner has sex with his wife on midfield whilst playing.
SD @ DEN- Denver could pull the upset, but I see SD being pissed about last week. Cutler looks like a beast in making, however.
BAL @ HOU- Going to make amends for an embarrassing lost to the Steelers.
NE @ NYJ- We could have had Super Bowl XLII (what it should have been :( ), but instead we get a Favre ass whopping of Cassel.
PIT @ CLE- Cleveland looks anemic last week...the Steelers looked awesome. Should be a great game .

Mon, Sep 15
PHI @ DAL- Will be a good game, but let's face it: Dallas is the team to beat all year.

Oh whatever, when your own damn fans are calling them "eff you touchdowns," you're pretty much running up the score.

Its a professional league, everyone should be playing at a certain level, too bad I say. So the Pats scored like 50 on the Dolphins, we deserved it for sucking. Brady played the way you are supposed to, try to score on every drive, thats the whole point of offense, I won't blame him for the crappy teams failing to stop him.

Your right it is a professional league. But I come from the school of showing good sportsmanship and respect for your opponent. If you're up by 3 or 4 touchdowns with 5 minutes left in the fourth quater the game is over.

To be honest the Pats are lucky someone didnt try and take a crowbar to Brady's leg last season, they were running up the score plain and simple. Its amazing no one even tried to take a cheap shot at him.

This is what happens when you have sports reporters that also follow politics!

he changed the whole quote cause he claims jones said "DUDE THEY PLAYED THE RAMS".

ESPN reporting that Chargers place Shawn Merriman on IR.

Exactly what I was going to post. If you want to send a message, don't be surprised if people decide to send one back.

Oh, I just thought that gif was hilarious. The karma train I'm talking about is the train that will hit the dirty Chiefs. What goes around comes around. Too bad not everyone has an ace coach like Bill Bilichick that teaches his players to only hit above the waste and below the neck. Not everyone can be as classy as us, though.

Go Pats!

Thread title just gets better.
KARMA TRAIN, BABY!

exactly. and you know damn sure if it was reversed the pats would be calling out the other teams.

the whole talk about "well if you don't like it stop it" is just stupid as well. if they are down by so much its pretty obvious they can not stop them.

the concept of good sportsmanship is prevalent in every sport.
