wolverine fans are really like cockroaches... they come out for big games but by and large they all crawl back under their refridgerators the rest of the time. fans of Michigan are like your average Yankee fan-- there's a lot of really loyal, great fans who just love the team. But you have a lot of people who just buy the memorabilia so they can look the part.

There's far more shitty, fairweather fans of Michigan than real fans for the Lions, but the Lions do have a stronger "fan" following than Michigan does, I'd say. I could be wrong but I don't think so. I mean, remember, even when the Lions were shitty back in the Silverdome they still sold out 75% of their games and that stadium seated 82,000 people.

Seriously it's insane. The team is garbage but they still get more support than the Pistons, Red Wings or Tigers (who only recently got good so I guess it doesn't count lol)...

Steelers = Pwned.

Chad Johnson does his job just being on the field.

You should never be overly confident when Brunell is your starting quarterback.

Assuming that devil Brady doesn't give Ebola he won't play this badly for the rest of the season. We have a bye to straighten everything out. And our defense has been f'in amazing. Looking better than last year.

What a lousy way to give a gift to the Bungholes. It wastes a great second half by the defense and a terrific game by Parker. **** Cowher for keeping Colclough on punt returns, I've been harping on that since preseason. Well, there ya go, enjoy that bite in the ass Bill? Why was Reid your 3rd pick in the draft again? And Haynes comes in for the spell to fumble it away....boy, great thing they brought in Davenport and kept Duce's lazy ass on the team. After Ben's second pick, he shoulda been benched. No question. And Nate Washington, real pros catch friggen touchdowns. And hey Mike Logan, enjoy your ass-of-the-week award. Taunting when down by 8 is so Eagles style, get off my team with that shit.

Dude Ben played horrible for the first three quarters. Though he started to look decent at the end of the fourth (this was after we gave the game away).

Our defense still looks ****ing beastly. The score is definitely not indicative of how badly we owned that Bengals offense for most of the game. The Bengals offensive line should be ashamed of themselves. It was open season on Palmer. Gotta give Palmer major props for not getting intimitaded by the beating he took.
I'm not gonna argue about Ben, but come on, compared to last week he was good.

Now, even if based on his typical performance he did a bad job (and I won't argue THAT)... if those two retarded fumbles towards the end never happened (neither of which were Ben's fault), I have no doubt that we would have won this game.

Last week was a good time to hate on Ben. He's still bad, but he's getting better. Colclough cost them this one if you ask me. Ben still wasn't up to speed but everyone did enough to keep things going until that ****ing fumble. Why did he even try to catch it under those circumstances, jesus.

I won't rub it in at all, that was a hard fought win and the oline did look like shit (as it should, with the center injured and levi jones playing hurt). But a win is a win and the Steelers still look like one of the best teams in the AFC defensively. I'm glad the Bengals have the Pats next week, that should be more of a shootout.

the AFC north this year is where real men play football.

Ben's INT in the endzone was killer too.

The only positives were manhandling the Bungles offense and W. Parker to the rescue.

I have no doubt that Ben will be looking much better against San Diego.

Merriman and his bad tattoos will kill Ben. Don't be so sure.

Clayton you tard I don't care if that was low or not you should have had that.

Dammit settled for the FG AGAIN... wtf.

You accuracy is shit AGAIN McNair....

Cincy has to shore up their run D or the Pats will run all over them.

I have to say that Cincy had some pretty good pass coverage in the game. They were not getting much pressure, but their pass coverage was very good at times considering the time they were giving Ben.

I have no love for the Bengals, but all loyalties fall to the side when the Pats are playing.

Definitely more fans than the Tigers. Not sure about the other two though... but it's crazy.

Talk radio right now has people calling in going "I knew once MSU lost that the Lions would, too." What's sad is that I said the same thing to my buddy last night after I called him when State lost. Ugh.

Kitna was still 25-40 for 342 yards, 2 TDs and 1 int :lol

he's really not a bad QB. Definitely the best QB we've had on this team since Scott Mitchell

Goddamnit. I was playing Texas Hold Em' with friends until 4 am yesterday and crashed like at 7 this morning. Woke up at 3:40, WAAAYYYYYY too late to change my fantasy QBs (Peyton and Chad) which looking at their number don't hurt me. However, I had f'n Donte Stallworth, who was supposed to be PROBABLE and now he's inactive? DAMMIT!

Worse, because I'm in Philly I can't watch the Giant game unless it's the High-Def feed, and the rain in Philly is cutting it. I have no idea what the fark is going on. How is it, Giant peeps?

EDIT: Someone just blow up the speakers.

Too bad you Squealer fans saw this as just another game!

With the Bengals Run D as bad as it was (it was good in the first 2 games), and the O line too playing poorly, I won't complain, no matter how messy of a game it was. I should have made the avatar bet with Spectral, at least Binoic is classy after a loss.

50% completion, 3 INTs and no TDs. And all his picks were very bad throws that just crippled the team in key situations. I don't have a problem saying it, he stunk. I had such a Kordell vibe watching this game, every time he dropped back I just kept hoping it wouldn't be a turnover. And that scares the hell out of me. He looked decent in the 4th, but that was when the Bengals were playing prevent. Yeah, Washington and Holmes had drops, but Ben stunk.

Mods did something with my profile or I am a moron. Tried changing the avatar and it is still some Jags garbage.

Man when McAllister is on he is a premier coverback... then there are the OTHER times.... <sigh>

The 4th gave me a lot of optimism though because he was being somewhat accurate again.

It wasn't necessarily bad decisions that were killing Ben, he just hasn't had his typical accurary. With the bye coming up I think his stomach will be all healed up and he should be throwing his typical darts again.

there's no doubt that the Bengals' run d isn't as good as it was in the first 2 weeks, but I think it will get better as the season goes along (plus the Steelers have a way better oline than the Chiefs or Browns, and Willie Parker looks like he could seriously be the next great do-it-all RB). And expect them to dominate pass defense for awhile, Cincy's seriously got one of the best secondaries in the NFL, but it gets overlooked because of the offense.

Still, I really look forward to that late season matchup at home, since I expect both teams will still be in heavy contention for playoff spots and it'll be yet another game that goes down to the wire.

All very good points. The Steelers have to work on trying to limit the number of times they lose. If they could stop doing that, then they would have an elite team this year.

Actually, the Giants aren't impressing me like I thought. The Seahawks stadium is ****ing loud. I'm glad the Bengals don't have to play there. We do bad against loud stadiums with the offense we run.
