WTF? They must be positioning to trade Brees or Rivers.

His career in Pittsburgh is probably over. They gave him a fake shoulder injury so he could save face since they demoted him to the 3rd quarterback. As happy as I would be to get anything for garbage, I think the Rams would regret this pick in about 10 seconds. Tommy is incapable of making half of the throws a NFL qb has to make. The only throw he can do with any proficiency is on a timing or crossing pattern over the middle. He sucks at pretty much everything else and is an INT machine.

How about Pace for Tommy?

but at least tommy maddox has taken a team to the playoffs and actually won a game. he may be a has-been, but jamie martin is a never-was.

im so frustrated because we were good enough to beat and maybe even blow out the colts, and martin (and the refs) fucked it all up....

They're pretty much saying that Rivers is going to be available in the offseason. They're clearly more confident in Feeley than Lemon as their backup, and it's clear that Brees should be their starter.

Thats football. Everyone is one play away from losing their qb and their season.

im still steaming over the refs allowing peyton manning to decide who recovered the fumble.......what the fuck man we always get screwed

Unless of course you are playing the Seahawks, then the officials are blocking our defenders and allowing your receivers to get open.

Don't like the Manning Rules? I figured a Rams fan would like how the league has bent over backwards to help Pay-me-a-ton finally win a ring, since all the new Manning Rules are designed to help passing attacks.

But then, yeah, it always sucks when they pull out the 'ol Manning Rules card when you play against the Dolts. Thanks for showing everyone how weak their D still really is though, that was hillarious until Bulger went down.

For whatever crazy reason, Foxsports fantasy gave Marc Bulger a ton of extra yardage and an extra TD that he never threw for. I robbed Sickboy. Fuckin fox locks their team editor way too early. :|

Foxsports fantasy sucks. I can barely log in to set my team up most weeks. Right now it's not showing my fantasy team at all. Still, I'm claiming a moral victory in that I've won what, two games now this season? Not normally much to crow about, but I've done it with a team built from the players left over after everyone else drafted. :D

Shame I'm doing so hideously in my main fantasy league. I was last in the league this week. And yes, that includes the computer controlled team built entirely from the default autopick order which was playing about five players who were either out for the season or on bye weeks. :(

[Edit: Oh, and for anyone who actually reads picks made by other people, you can stop shouting now. I highlighted the losing teams this week.]

i predicted it!

rat to the bucs!

i hope he plays against us in 2 weeks and throws his patented INT's in the 4th to cost you the game!

p.s. it's not a conditional draft pick, clayton reported it is a 7th rounder. finally nolan is getting rid of the garbage on our team.

i'm waiting to hear that kbar was traded, then the trio of greatest nicknames ever are gone :(

engleberger with cheese, rat, and kbar... and jgar!! all gone!

Damn, everyone is picking Cincy over Pittsburgh. Cincy looks to be a really good team, but if Ben is healthy the Steelers just don't lose (unless they play New England). The numbers speak for themself. And Carson's qb rating will be under 100. The one thing I can't account for is Chad Johnson who has commited various degrees of sexual assault on Pitt's secondaries over the years.

I hope our offensive line wakes up too. Those guys have been very average to this point.

atleast they don't stand on the goalline so they can take out Joe Horn right as he's about to score

Hardly. It's closer to half and half from the picks so far, with the Bengals having a slight edge. My picks are the only ones that matter, though, so your win is safe. :D

Here's a question: Even if the boat ride was immoral, why did the commish need to visit the Vikings? I just see a overreaction about the boat ride. Why do they need an extra security officer in Minny? He wasn't gonna stop that, as I see it. Maybe the commish was comming out to see who signed off on the Randy trade.

I think he wanted to sign up for the next boat ride.

The NFL has an image that they take VERY seriously and this kind of stuff does NOT please the NFL at all. He went out there to send a message.

i saw that earlier and was tempted to post the jgar karma police picture, but i thought better of it.

it's not his little bros fault that leonard is a drunken murderer. this should have happened to leonard, not his bro

That's fucked up for his brother. I'm not sure if this is really karma against him or just fucked up for his family. His mother gets it the worse on this deal. I feel better just calling him a drunk murderer.

Look at it this way. They started out very average last game, but they stepped it up during the second half (even during the first you could notice). It was Maddox that fucked them over, and it's a shame... so many amazing plays were made in that game that won't be remembered now. For one, the touchdowns - and blocking TWO touchdown attempts that, until the last second seemed like an instant victory for Jacksonville.

The defense just needs to work on letting less passes through... they didn't let Jacksonville run too far, but almost every time they passed the ball we were never there (except for when it would have really counted for them in the end zone).

You can't get mad at people who aren't big Steelers fans like us to not pick them, their last game was a nightmare, and I can understand why they aren't expecting another win so soon.

Regardless, I still think they have a great chance of winning. Cowher does not want to see a repeat of last game, and if you looked at Ben and Ward's faces - the two most important aspects of the offense btw - they don't want to see it happen either. Ben looked outraged the entire time and towards the end, Hines Ward looked like he wanted to smack Maddox a couple times. They will not tolerate another loss. Well, they won't go down without a fight at the very least, unlike Maddox who dropped the fucking ball for no reason when all he had to do was throw a couple more passes for a TD (and thus win). Ben won't be doing any of that.

Thanks for 'berger by the way, he's a real capable 2nd string DL on the Broncs rebuild DL.

So does Randy get a visit for the weed play?

I don't think that the image of a player smoking weed is nearly as bad as a sex party on a boat with people who weren't a part of the party.

Besides if Randy smoked weed and it can be proven then he'll be fined or suspended.

skinnyrattler said:

Randy got a legal fight over whether the NFL could put him into the substance abuser program for the comments he made. That's a bit worse than a visit from Tags.

Plus, I'm sure it was as much to tell the Vikings owner that he couldn't go suspending and fining players for this without any sort of previously established code of conduct.

i couldnt believe it man. refs signaled rams ball emphatically....then peyton goes over and lobbies the ref until he reverses the call!!! not to mention they waited about 10 seconds too long to call steven jackson down resulting in a near fumble, and never calling the indy o-line for their false starts(tarik glenn mostly). also they called that one tipped pass a sack for some reason which pinned us on our own 2 and set indy up with a great punt return.

i just find it hard to believe the refs can be this bad

The Rams looked good last night. Being in DC, it's refreshing to watch a team play that has an actual offense.
Can't watch the Redskins for some reason? Brunell was the top QB this week and the Skins' offense actually put together better numbers than the Rams!

Btw, Santana Moss is also NFL's top yardage wide reciever. :D

People are actually picking the Vikings over the Packers? I figured this one was a LOCK pick this week for the Packers? Are you guys just joking or something? Packers coming off a bye week following a SEVEN TOUCHDOWN VICTORY and still being able to take the NFC North versus the lowly vikings? C'mon, shelly, I mean, come on.

It basically accuses TO of being jealous of Mcnabb, calls him pathetic for saying he shouldnt have played in the superbowl and says he will be labeled in the same class as Dennis Rodman when all is said and done.

This was TOs response. I just think its funny cause he never responds to the negative shit, this is the first time I think. Saying "your not man enough to reply" worked.

SO WHAT! THINK WHAT U WANT, BUT I AM NO WAY JEALOUS OF HIM, U MUST B CRAZY! I'M LAFFIN MY BUTT OFF @ U RITE NOW! U'RE MAD @ ME B/C OF WHAT I THIN, HOW DUMB R U? AND WHEN HAS A RECEIVER MADE AS MUCH AS A QB, NEVER, SO GO FIGURE?

The worst part was they showed Manlover miked, so the evidence was in full force. It definitely seemed cheap.

You're completely out of your gourd.

The umpire still signaled Rams ball after the ref made the announcement that Colts retained possession(and the ump was the one who made the initial call of a turnover, before the pile was cleared). Manning's bitching definately had an effect.

And the thing about Glenn is definately true. I made that observation on the first drive of the night for the Colts.

Glenn false starts like it's his freakin' job, so I won't argue that point. I just think you're loopy if Manning had an effect on determining who got possession. I didn't see the refs declare it Rams ball.

Bungles no more

Nice article on Palmer and the Bengal's transformation into a good team. It makes you respect Kitna for taking a back seat for the good of the team. Especially after seeing that bullshit Maddox was doing last week.

I actually like the Bengals and you have to respect what Lewis has done to that organization. Seems like Baltimore started to slowly fall apart after he left and Cincy just got better every year. I wish they were in another division though. I don't like the fact that the Steelers may actually have to win 12+ games this season and in the future just to win the division.

The most impressive thing about the Bengals is that there is no timidness, or self-doubt in them. It's all competition, every minute of the game. They're as tough as they come as a total package. Defense, offense, etc. And Palmer is a hell of a QB. Incredible that he has it together this well for someone so young. The Leftwich/Palmer draft really turned out something special.

Palmer is lucky Lewis is the head coach there and not the usual asshats they get in Cincinnati. The last two drafts have produced more talent at the qb position then I ever remember. I mean there are just not that many big name quarterbacks and yet there have been at least 4 now produced in the last two drafts (maybe 5 if Rivers is as good as they say).
