he needs focus, not conditioning. how can he get confidence when he's being called out in post game PCs? or when he's being benched for periods at a time? or when he's tired and after some idiot ices the puck, the coach doesn't call a timeout to get a little rest... instead the puck ends up in the back of the net. Or when he's being second guessed when compared to the other leafs D?

It's all the coaches negativity that's hurting schenn. Easy fix? Throw him into top playing minutes and all situations, asap. Send him down to the minors and you'll have a defensive Tlusty on your hands. someone who only plays well in the minors, but not in the majors. His lack of confidence isn't with himself.
 
Blake gets a lot of hate but other than his PAY he is one of the better leaf forwards. Leafs need to make Ian White captain ASAP.

Get rid of Wilson and give everyone a fresh start .

we showed our insane power tonight, now to hide it again until playoffs, barely squeak into 8th, and then unleash the beast :P

Negativity from the coaches? Come on. I hate to borrow a Forzaism, but Schenn has been ball-washed since the day he got here. There are huge flaws to his game that he needs to work on. He is slow. For a guy his size, he looks weak out there. He's fumbling the puck too often. He's only been benched for extended periods the last two games, and its because of his play. Not the other way around.

The minors aren't just for conditioning. He needs to work on aspects of his game, and yes, build his confidence in the minors. He can find his game while getting top-pairing minutes in the AHL, where a mistake wont cost us the game. Who knows, he may even get a chance to work on his offence?

As for Tlusty, he is a completely different player. Every player reacts differently to this. But to be honest, Tlusty has never been given much of a chance under Wilson.

Yeah, seems like his schizo personality has returned, but he's also got 4 AHL dmen playing in front of him right now. As a #3, I think he'd be a good choice. Would you take Ward or Mason instead?

We're doing OK considering the lousy defense we got as well as the worst forward in the league (Cheechoo).
 
Wait wait wait wait. Ian White got a double minor because a Carolina player high sticked his own team mate? That's even worse than Ribeiro faking a high stick. Or Poni getting called because he has the same jersey number as the offender on the other team. Or Jonas getting cross checked into his own net knocking the net off but the goal still counting. Or getting a penalty because the coach was mad at the refs. Maybe the Leafs can win some games when refs are replaced with robots.

"Looking at trade options," Burke said. "If that fails, I will start shipping money to the minors."

Burke said there was no hard time frame for the moves, but given the team has 12 points in its first 20 games– tying their fifth-worst start in franchise history – sooner is more likely than later.

1. I love the score mobile, help me keep track of the Leafs game all night long as I was out.

2. Wha happened? I announced a 3-0 lead in the first, everyone was happy, highfives were handed out everywhere...then all of a sudden it was 3-2...then yay the Leafs are up 4-2...we check again it's 4-4...uh oh. One more check and booyah Leafs up 5-4 with 30 seconds left, this is in the bag for sure. I put it away and check back a bit later to read up on the stats and summaries...wtf 6-5?

Swallow sadness Leafs-Gaf...swallow sadness. :(

Nieds meant for that stick to go to the little girl wearing the black Ducks jersey near the front (he pointed at her), but the funny thing is that those two idiots were acting far more immaturely than that girl has probably ever acted :lol
