Sharks at home for one fucking game before going to Anaheim. This team needs to have a home stand.

Should be a really good game tonight though. Philly is a tough opponent and I hope we stick it to Pronger.

Sharks have played about as many games at home as the 'Hawks have on the road. :lol

Just goes to show how screwed up the schedule is. It's really bad for some teams *cough* 14 game roadtrip *cough*

espn is sourcing a rumor that the leafs are about to make a(some) big trade(s)

unfortunately... they have it on espn insider and i'm not paying money to see wtf they're talking about.

Cmon it's completely obvious.

Burke is going to dump some of the Leafs best players since he doesn't have anymore draft picks to dump.

Now if he was really crazy, he'd dump the Leafs best players and in return get some team's 1st and 2nd picks that he threw away for Kessel.

Maybe trade Wilson and Burke away :D

It's just talking about this article from the Star. But in particular, without quoting the whole thing, it says, "Candidates to be moved include Jason Blake, Nikolai Kulemin, Mikhail Grabovski and Garnet Exelby.

One player who won't be moved is Tomas Kaberle, CBC.ca writes."

Like I've said in this thread many times, the only trade that would make sense is any trade involving a NEW coach for Team USA that's not named Ron Wilson.

Best candidates (in my opinion):

John Tortorella
Dan Bylsma
Peter Laviolette

I'm a Torts fan just cause at the very least, he'd make for great publicity. Plus him taking a scrapped-together Rangers team at the trade deadline to nearly upsetting the Caps in the 1st round proves to me that he's the man for the job.

Oh shi- Manics!

"Truculence" Guy
Description - A small but tragic group. Due to an acute exposure level to off-season Brian Burke soundbites, they're no longer able to form a complete sentence without using the word "truculence". (Note: Every single Leaf fan went through this phase in September, but most have pulled out of it.)

I think this one is the most common, especially on Leafs Talk on AM 640:

The Fixer
Description - This guy wants the Leafs to win, and they would, dammit, if they'd just listen to him. He has the blueprint all laid out. And he wants to tell you all about it. In detail.
How to recognize him - He's probably posting a trade proposal thread at hfboards.com right now.
What to do if you see one - Listen patiently to his explanation of why a Stajan/Blake/White package could probably land Ilya Kovalchuk and a pick, nod pensively, then encourage him to phone a radio call-in show to reach a wider audience.

God the Panthers play boring hockey. The game kind of opened up at the end of the 2nd after the Wings goal though, hopefully it keeps on that way in the 3rd.

So yeah, the Habs are in total ownage mode tonight. We are beating the crap out of the Caps but we had problems with the league's worst team. Man, this season is just ups and downs.

Holy shit dude the guy's allowed to get scored on deal with it. He just saved our asses in the last 2 minutes with that 6 on 4.

Which I rightly added to my post. He goddamn owned on that sequence. That was beastly. But I'm not gonna sugarcoat shitty goals, he lets in.

gainey you pos

resign pleks NOW!

do not wait and give him up for nothing!

gomez .... he looks lost without gio

hammer and spacek ... WOW ... ovechkin was invincible tonight

Wow..
Marleau - Thornton - Heatley

if this clicks tonight it could be scary. 3rd and 4th lines are looking like they have some jump tonight. Pretty good considering the entire 4th line are ahl callups.

Haha Flyers. Great shot Manny.

Ya the Sharks are looking pretty solid so far. If they can keep this up the game should be good till the end.

Who's responsible for specifically teaching the Sharks how to play in their own zone? They should be fucking fired. Weakest part of our game by far.
