Lol at Crosby getting a his first playoff penalty before his first playoff shot :lol

Should be about 5-1, except for Ottawa's usual ridiculous amount of missed open nets.

Let's see if they can hold on...

Wow easiest exam ever.. took me an hour... so what did I miss :lol?

The Sens kicking the Pens ass :D

the Pens defense is playing really well though.

I don't think "kicking it in" was the actual reason. That was blatant goaltender inteference on Crosby's part, intentional or not. Still, if you're a Pittsburgh fan you have to at least appreciate their resilience in storming right back after the Heatley goal.

But there was no penalty...

If interference isn't initially called, they can't review a goal and then call it. The official word was "distinct kicking motion" which was dubious at best.

blowout. Since pens already lost the game, they might aswell start hitting some people and set a tone for game 2.

Be interesting to see how Pittsburgh responds to this debacle...as much as I appreciate this bonanza of goals, I'm afraid embarrassing the Pens like this will only piss them off for next game.

Wonder if MAF will start on Saturday...

Edit: I have no idea why the Ottawa fans keep booing everytime Crosby touches the puck. That's not called for as far as I can tell.
Edit2: Enough with the bloody penalties Ottawa...just sit back and let the clock run out

Nice shot by Gonch, but too little too late.

Edit: Congrats to Sid on his first career post season goal. To bad it was in a losing game though.

Not surprised at how game 1 went at all. I kinda thought Ottawa would take game one, by more than one goal. Not too worried over here. Predicting an overall lower-scoring game and Penguin victory in game 2.

Cheechoo injured?

Good thing Hartnell got the boot and a major. Hopefully Cheechoo is back this round, but I wouldn't be shocked if he's done for PlayOffs with the way his knee bent on that hit. :/

Good game tonight, game 2 is obviously gonna be a lot tougher, one thing this Pens team has shown is that they fall but bounce back really quickly. As long as the Sens play the same way on Saturday as they did tonight minus the penalties, they should be ok.

Team that suprised everyone by putting up a great season?
Rookie goaltender that had a great season?
Inexperience in most of its players?
Yep, sounds to me like last years Rangers.
Ottawa will blow them out in 4.

Are we thinking of the same Ottawa? :lol

You're saying that as if I said that.

Well, why would it be so far fetched to think that Ottawa can sweep this? (although I don't think that will happen)

You're saying that like Ottawa hasn't ever won a playoff series.

Although i picked Sens to go far this year......this start reminds me alot of leafs vs sens from years ago. Also GARY ROBERTS!!!

"Blow them out in 4?" I just think one needs to consider a team's general history and, in the case of a reputation like Ottawa's, the choke factor, before making lofty claims like that. Don't you? I mean, that's one heck of a claim, "blowing them out in four." Four games is one thing, four blowouts? Come on now... ;)

Rissmiller you bag... Weber scores to send it to OT with 51 seconds left... Great game so far. Sharks/Preds might end up being the best series of the first round.

Watched some of Crosby's press conference after the game and he took full accountability for the Pens' performance. Didn't bitch about the kicking motion goal, but admitted that the team just wasn't good enough and that they didn't play like they can. Looking forward to a better effort in game 2 and I'm REALLY curious to see who the Pens will start now.

The Sens dominated us tonight and I'll fully admit that. Pens need to reassess a lot of things and get their heads on straight if this one is going to last more than 4 games.

Ok, I'll admit the "blow them out" part was pretty ridiculous. But history is just that, history. If we went by history every year the same teams would be winning the cup year after year.

Right, but I was certainly not implying that history is the only single determining factor or item up for consideration, either. Just something to take note of, especially when predicting a sweep ^^;
