I wonder why they even had this event if they embargo the info till friday. Why not just have the event on friday?

The whole point is to allow sites to take their time writting stuff up. It's not like Nintendo decided Friday is the best possible day to release information; honestly it probably suits the sites to have it the last day of the working week more so.

well my sister is stationed in okinawa and sometimes she calls during lunch and its about 9:00pm (central) here. So japan is about 13 to 14 hrs ahead.

I doubt we'll see any new announcements out of this. I think the focus was more on letting media get hands-on time. Hopefully Ninty's E3 conference will be big though.
