Instructions:

For all demos, to get them onto your PSP, simply download the EBOOT.PBP file of the demo you want to play, then create a folder in your PSP's GAME directory, with the name provided under the download link. Then place the EBOOT.PBP file in that folder, and that's it; you're done. Disconnect your PSP and go to the Game section, then Memory Stick, and your demo should show up there.

~~~~~~~~
I'll try to keep this first post updated as new demos get released. Feel free to post them in here when they do and I'll add them to the first post.
Also, I might be missing a few of the early Japanese demos, if anyone knows or has links to those, post and I'll add them. And if I'm missing any others, let me know.
I'm pretty sure the only demo you are missing is Sudoku, and also Japanese version of first Loco Roco demo, which is of course identical to the US version except it's in Japanese.
Finally the PSP starts making good use of its WiFi capabilities (well, you are supposed to download them with the PSP.... right :lol, well I do :P).
I am glad the trend of releasing game demos online is catching up :D.
Awesome thread. Only suggestion is that you might want to add 'JP' tags to the Japanese demos to indicate that the text is all (or mostly) in Japanese. Can still play em on any PSP of course, but just so people know what they're getting into.
Thanks, Andy.
At the rate they're giving away Loco Roco demos, maybe they should just consider putting a larger pack of levels up for sale as a downloadable game.
Great thread, I didn't realise there were playable demos for RR2 and Bounty Hounds and I'm keen to check thse out so cheers.
can someone tell me what FW do these demos require???? can any of them run on Devhook 2.71?
Most of the demos require 2.8+. I'm not sure if Devhook 2.71 can do that since I'm just getting into the homebrew scene myself.
I have a launch 1.5 unit, upgraded to 2.71 with the first Loco Roco demo in the summer, and just spent an hour looking up how to downgrade to 1.5 and do Devhook, all that stuff. The only thing that's holding me back from diving into this is that Lumines II is coming out this week and I don't want a messed up PSP :lol. The procedure seems fairly simple, but who knows, I'm a klutz working with stuff like this and I might mess it up.
That reminds me, it might be a good idea to add to the descriptions in the first post the minimum version of the firmware that's required to play the demo.
Done.
Blocks Club demo - Seems like a fun puzzle game, if only they didn't slow things down with each character getting 2 dialogue screens you have to click through to proceed. every. single. time. Also I can't imagine there being much more to the full game than what the demo presents, so this would be an ideal downloadable game in its entirety.
Exit 2 demo - Does the demo illustrate any new features not in the first game? I didn't make it far into the first one, so I don't know for sure what's new here, but it seems almost identical to what I played of the first one.
I think there was no water in Exit the first...
These are from a stickied topic on the official PlayStation Forums so I presume it's acceptable to post the links here:
Moto GP - 2.71 - EN
Directory: UCES00399 (Make sure you rename the PBP file to EBOOT.PBP. If able, it's best to play at 333 MHz to get a perfect 60 fps.)
There is water in Exit. I don't remember seeing "the barrels" mechanics though in the first one. A thing that is definitely improved in Exit2 is the control's response time. It's much quicker, especially for jumps.
Like the man two posts up, the Mercury demo link is dead. Can anyone who has it rehost it on megauploads or something?
Finally turning on the PSP after a bit of a dust mode and want to catch up on demos.
Is there a reason why Sony hasn't put up downloadable demos of the several UMD demos that were sent out through the mail or made available at retail? Is it due to a technical issue or is it due to somebody's stupidity in choosing what should be downloadable? One would think that it would be cheaper to make the demos downloadable rather than pressing them into UMDs and mailing them out.
the UMD demos leave a lot more space available for music and other data compared to the downloadable demos since they seem to be keeping downloadable demo sizes under ~16MB so far. probably assuming some people may still only be using that 32MB Memory Stick that comes with the system, lol.
I tried the Bomberman US demo and the PSP said it was corrupted data.
Granted he's banned atm, but there's never been a downloadable demo of Bomberman PSP for the US, that I'm aware of. Not sure what he was actually downloading.
Only checked out the lay-out of the site, then I closed the tab. Something awful and ugly like that can't be real.
hmmm, well, when I first posted the link it was a much simpler site, just a flat list of the demos to download. It's pretty hideous in it's current form but it's still legit for the demo downloads, and is I think the only non-Sony site that you can actually use to download the demos direct onto the PSP from the PSP web browser.
Thanks for this thread, I missed out on a lot of these.
What is the KZL.DRM file in that killzone link? All of the other demos are just an eboot, did someone rip it from a UMD demo?
Hmm, same demo as the UMD version. There are some minor changes, though, like additional languages, missing music for the XMB icon, and for some reason smaller tutorial text. It does seem to have an added checkpoint in the middle of the map, though. Or at least I don't remember there being one previously.
Oh well. Nice to have on the stick, at least.
