that is awesome, but is Arena Football League2 a typo or was there really a lesser Arena league?

Yes there was up until last year. But then they folded up like their big brother counterpart. But now they're coming back as Arena Football 1 or something in the smaller af2 towns.

I don't think Morris wasn't that much in a single stop, I can't find it, but someone in the 90's I'm sure had 24 pounds in their car (former player I mean of course).

Did he get probation as well?

I still don't know how the fuck Bam got off with just probation and community service. You are usually fucked in the A if you have that much.

That was only his first offense though (it wasn't an obnoxious amount but still enough for a felony charge), pretty sure he's had multiple stints in jail since...

actually, it was after he signed with the Ravens that he started getting actual jail time, it makes sense now.

Warner will be announcing if he plans to retire or come back next season on Friday.

Welp goodbye Kurt.

As an Eagles fan I am so happy to see him go. First we will never have to face him again in the playoffs, and second, this means the Cards will be getting into the Mcnabb bidding war.

All signs definitely point to retirement. You don't announce a press conference 2 weeks after your season ends to let everyone know your planning on returning. Also Warner's contract is front loaded, he got $15 M as a signing bonus and another $4 M for each season so he already bagged $19 M of his contract money. Perfectly set up so he could retire after this season.

I get the chills thinking about Leinart as our starting QB.

Even with Leinart, the Cards are probably the favorite to win the West.

I really think the Cards will get Don. He has a house out there, and I think that the Cards have a better poackage to offer. The guy from SI.com was on the Eagles podcast this week talking about what the different teams would be offering, he said Cleveland would offer Cribbs and a 1st, but I dont see any way the Eagles would want Cribbs. He said the Cards would offer Boldin and a first, and I think that Boldin would be a great fit with the Eagles. Clevelands first would be higher, but this is a one player draft so I dont see it helping the Eagles much. Unless they thought that they could trade up to number one and get Suh. I havent heard yeet what the Vikings would offer for Donovan, but I dont see how it could beat what the Cards are going to offer.

Alex Smith had the best year of NFC West QBs to start 2010 season?

I was thinking about this a few days ago. The starting NFC West QBs for 2010 could be:

Rams: Random rookie
Seahawks: Random rookie
Cardinals: Matt Lienart
49ers: Alex Smith

That is the worst group of starting QBs ever. It has to be. At least the Niners would have the best!

Or it could be:

Rams: Mike Vick
Seahawks: Matt Hasslebeck
Cardinals: Donovan Mcnabb
49ers: Alex Smith

In which case Alex would be the worst. I doubt that the Eagles would trade both QB's though.

Really? I mean I know they still have Fitz, but Leinart is awful. The Niners defense is vastly improved and was really a force this year (well, in comparison to previous years at least and to the rest of the NFC west if nothing else). Alex Smith isn't that great, but given a chance to have an actual off season where hes not recovering from major surgery, he's the best of the crop of the NFC West. 1 fluke away from 9-7 this year (Vikings game) and I don't see us doing worse (then again, I probably think this every year, but we're keeping our OC for the first time in.... hell I don't even know, 5-6 years?)

What I'm trying to say is, I know I'm a homer, but come on, give the 49ers some credit here. We beat the cards twice, should've swept the West (few fluke special teams plays cost us the 2nd Seahawks game) and while we'll probably only end up 10-6 or so, keep in mind Matt Leinart was pulled in the last game of the season for... Brian St. Pierre? Or whoever the Card's 3rd string QB is (and it wasn't to rest him for the playoffs :lol )

That's all nice and good, but the reality is this, the Cards will be the favorite. Whether they win it or not is another matter. But until the Niners actually do something, they aren't the favorites.

Maybe he's not retiring. I know you don't normally call a press conference to announce you're staying, but maybe Warner just doesn't want to get the question 5000 times when he goes to Miami and he doesn't want to be a distraction (unlike some other drama queen we know).

One more season of crushing FMT's dreams, Kurt!

Not really. People pick the Niners and Texans to win their respective divisions every year, remember?

Definitely. Eagles are going to have a ton of ammo for the draft when they get the #1 overall pick for Mike Vick.

Who is the Card's third string qb?

I don't see them possibly winning more than 4 games with Leinhart as qb. I feel bad for Fitz, he is going to go to waste in Arizona without a real qb to throw him the ball.

Mr. Brian St. Pierre

They might be a 6 win team with Pierre. San Fran's best hope to win the division is to hope that Leinhart stays healthy and doesn't get benched until it is too late.

It was former Cowboys great Nate Newton. And it wasn't 24 pounds, it was 175 one time and 213 pounds on another bust!

MaddenGAF is in the 2011 season and Warner hasn't retired.

Case closed.

Even more epic, Vikings made the NFC Championship in MaddenGAF's 2009 season and lost--to the Packers. Favre finally retired. :lol

Nate Kaeding's sudden withdrawal from the Pro Bowl was because of injury. He showed up for practice Wednesday morning, but suffered a "slight tear" in his groin, according to Jarrett Bell of USA Today. That is one rough way for Kaeding to go into the offseason.

"I had mentally structured it in my mind, I was going to take this week seriously," Kaeding said. "I was looking forward to getting out there [in the Pro Bowl] and getting to kick and going through that, rather than six months from now."

Talk about adding injury to insult :lol :lol :lol

I would have never let such a thing happen.

I'd give the Eagles the #1 overall pick in the draft for Kolb over Mike Vick.
Least he's more proven then anyone coming out of college, and he's super young.

Not that I think the Eagles would go for it.

Uh oh:

“I do know that they’re getting better. I think Powers is really coming along. Dwight, we’ll have to work hard to get him ready, and he’s working at it. Powers has a little bit of a head start on him. Hopefully, both of them will be ready, but I’m not certain of their status at this point.”

That would be huge.

Striker said:
Eagles will have Kolb or McNabb at QB next season -- Vick is gone. He isn't getting paid $5M by them.

I dont see why that would be the case. 5 mil in an uncapped year is nothing, especially if they trade Don. No fucking way do the Eagles want either Feeley or Garcia as the back up to Kolb. My guess is that they trade Don, and then renogotiate Vick's contract. Have him take a little bit less this year and add a club option for next year. Even if they re-sign Kolb and keep Vick at 5 million, that will still be cheaper then the 13 million Don is getting this year.

So if the Colts win that means Viniteri earns his 5th Super Bowl ring. As a player would that be a new record, tie a current record, or does someone out there have 6+ rings as a player?

i fucking hate the cards but i am willing to admit with warner they are the favorites. he is a hall of fame qb and is the exact qb they need for that offense.

WITH leinart as starting qb not only will i say they are not the favorites in the NFC west, i will say they'll finish 3rd behind the 49ers and seahawks.

you'll see if leinart starts. no fucking way are they the favorites with leinart.

Don't get me wrong, Lein-O sucks....but so does the rest of the West!!

5 is the most as a player only. The thing is, Vinatieri earned those 4 and you could say if not for him, those teams probably would not have won them, but this one is a complete coasting on the bench while Stover does all the heavy lifting. :lol
