Interview with James Cameron where he pimps his new bitch and lays into Nolan's boytoy.

"Sam had me at 'Uh huh,' " Cameron told the laughing audience.

"He's an old-school tough guy, and that's what I needed for this film," Cameron said, adding that while he has seen only the trailer of "Terminator Salvation," he's sure that Sam is gonna "blow Christian Bale off the screen."
Let the smackdown begin!

:D

New Video
I think

http://www.slashfilm.com/2009/05/11/featurette-terminator-salvations-the-harvester/

Warner Bros has released a new five minute clip from Terminator Salvation on promotional partner Pizza Hut’s website. The clip features a scene where Kyle Reese (Anton Yelchin) and Marcus Wright (Sam Worthington) encounter the huge robotic terminator called The Harvester. After the sequence, they have a featurette that shows you how they created the sequence. I’ve embedded the five plus minute clip after the jump.

Okay Warners, this is becoming a fucking joke. There is a point where you stop saturating people with your film prior to release - that point is when you've spoiled half the film already. This is worse than Spider-man 3's overexposure.

A few more videos and we'll be able to cut it all into the full movie.

Who's holding a gun to your head forcing you to watch?

I can't wait until Bale Defense Force bitch about how Cameron is a hack and Bale is not getting enough exposure in this new film because McG is a hack x 2.
BaleOut in 3, 2, 1....

Well duh! This IS Sam's movie. Bale's character is just a supporting character forced into Lead role.

Trufax.

If it wasn't for Bale, John Connor would have barely been in the movie, so suffice it to say, his blow up on set gets a pass :D

And the role of Marcus didn't get reduced either, since by all accounts he still has a slightly larger part than Connor.

And that would be a bad thing? Sure, he's the symbol of the resistance and the only thread that connects the first 3 movies and this one. However, I feel that John Connor has always been the weakest character of the Terminator franchise. The first film stand out is Kyle Reese (John wasn't even a blip on that film). The second one are Arnold's T-800 and Linda Hamilton's Sarah Connor, the third one...ugh, let's pretend it doesn't exist. The TV series stand out is Cameron (Summer Glau's character). T4 looks to continue that tradition with Marcus being the more interesting character than John Connor.

In T:TSCC I think Sarah stands out the most. I also like the way John is getting "mature" with the episodes.

Still makes him a hypocrite...

Truthfully, I'm getting a little tired of Bale playing very sober, straight edge leader types. T4, Batman, Reign of Fire, Mann's Dillinger movie, (possibly) Killing Pablo...all leaders, who may lose it/lose hope once in a while, but seem to be brooding, clean arrows. Know what I mean? It just seems like a very limited range...almost sort of typecasted himself into being a tough good guy. The Prestige was the last versatile movie I saw him in, because he displayed a darker side and was set up as the semi-antagonist.

....that looks fucking terrible. What the fuck? After all the Benjamin Button quality bullshit McG was hyping up, THAT is the best they can come up with? That looks like a fucking video game render.

It doesn't look that bad. I think it looks pretty good. Can't just judge it from a decent pic. Most likely how this movie been going with TV spots. We can decide on what it looks like in HD.

Oh lawd that looks bad. I hope it's from the game, not from the movie, lolz :lol

Edit:

Ok guys, there is an embargo until tomorrow, but I can reveal that I have seen the movie!
I post on this site under a different name, and work for a UK movie mag and went to the press screenting last Thursday evening.

I would give the film 9/10(I gave T3 7/10).McG did really well with the direction. The action never lets up.I can also confirm the Arnold T-800 image on this site IS REAL,but believe me,when you see it move, you WILL be amazed.

The only disappointing aspect is that there a few scenes from the trailers not present(T1 rising from the water to name but one).

Uh...

It's not from the game, which takes place two years before the movie.

I'll wait to see it motion, but yeah... not impressed.

Anyone got a link to download the most recent trailer. I saw it on xbox live and holy fuckin shit muther of god fuck awesome, fuckity fuck.

Every review I have seen so far (even if they were not huge fans of the film) said CGI Arnold looked real good....so I dont know what to make of the pics. Maybe its unfinished footage.

Wow, was Arnold ever that huge?
:lol

Even bigger.

He was actually a shadow of his competition form during his movie career.

There's a reason he was Mr. [list of titles] so many times. Dude was a fucking MONSTER at his peak.

Oh yeah, man. I agree. Freaking awesome.

I sort of expected him to appear smaller but more defined.

However, it just reoccured to me that his head might be superimposed on a body double, so it's probably the proportions throwing me off.

That's exactly what it is. Some other (Austrian, funnily enough) guy, Roland Kickinger, is his body double with a face plastered on top. I think
They were going to have him act without Arnold at first, but then had Arnold agree to do it.

I don't know why you guys are so critical of it, it's not like the other effects look like shit. It looks like it was taken off-screen to me. It will probably be better in theaters.

I hope it doesn't look like I'm digging into this. :P

What I find the most interesting about FX in Terminator movies was always on how they integrated the actors and the cyborg parts, so the effects on pure cyborgs/vehicles aren't such a big deal to me.

I know I answered STAR TREK as my Top 3 Movies to see this Summer, but this is most likely next. :P
