Yeah. Jonathan Nolan rewrote parts of the script (though he's going to be uncredited, thanks to the WGA). However, i think thats the first time they went into specifics.
Costanza said:
"Sam had me at 'Uh huh,' " Cameron told the laughing audience.
"He's an old-school tough guy, and that's what I needed for this film," Cameron said, adding that while he has seen only the trailer of "Terminator Salvation," he's sure that Sam is gonna "blow Christian Bale off the screen."
Let the smackdown begin!

Warner Bros has released a new five minute clip from Terminator Salvation on promotional partner Pizza Huts website. The clip features a scene where Kyle Reese (Anton Yelchin) and Marcus Wright (Sam Worthington) encounter the huge robotic terminator called The Harvester. After the sequence, they have a featurette that shows you how they created the sequence. Ive embedded the five plus minute clip after the jump.
Scullibundo said:Okay Warners, this is becoming a fucking joke. There is a point where you stop saturating people with your film prior to release - that point is when you've spoiled half the film already. This is worse than Spider-man 3's overexposure.

Dead said:If it wasn't for Bale, John Connor would have barely been in the movie
In T:TSCC I think Sarah stands out the most. I also like the way John is getting "mature" with the episodes.Replicant said:And that would be a bad thing? Sure, he's the symbol of the resistance and the only thread that connects the first 3 movies and this one. However, I feel that John Connor has always been the weakest character of the Terminator franchise. The first film stand out is Kyle Reese (John wasn't even a blip on that film). The second one are Arnold's T-800 and Linda Hamilton's Sarah Connor, the third one...ugh, let's pretend it doesn't exist. The TV series stand out is Cameron (Summer Glau's character). T4 looks to continue that tradition with Marcus being the more interesting character than John Connor.
Dead said:If it wasn't for Bale, John Connor would have barely been in the movie, so suffice it to say, his blow up on set gets a pass
And the role of Marcus didn't get reduced either, since by all accounts he still has a slightly larger part than Connor.
Replicant said:I can't wait until Bale Defense Force bitch about how Cameron is a hack and Bale is not getting enough exposure in this new film because McG is a hack x 2.

I hate John and Marcus.Dead said:You whine that he is in it, others whine that he almost wasn't

Scullibundo said:....that looks fucking terrible. What the fuck? After all the Benjamin Button quality bullshit McG was hyping up, THAT is the best they can come up with? That looks like a fucking video game render.
Oh lawd that looks bad. I hope it's from the game, not from the movie, lolz :lolezekial45 said:OH MY GOD!

Ok guys, there is an embargo until tomorrow, but I can reveal that I have seen the movie!
I post on this site under a different name, and work for a UK movie mag and went to the press screenting last Thursday evening.
I would give the film 9/10(I gave T3 7/10).McG did really well with the direction. The action never lets up.I can also confirm the Arnold T-800 image on this site IS REAL,but believe me,when you see it move, you WILL be amazed.
The only disappointing aspect is that there a few scenes from the trailers not present(T1 rising from the water to name but one).
It's not from the game, which takes place two years before the movie.Insane Metal said:Oh lawd that looks bad. I hope it's from the game, not from the movie, lolz :lol
Ok, I didn't think the first one was all that bad, but... :lolChamber said:There's another pic of the cameo if you go back in that thread...

MisterHero said::lolWow, was Arnold ever that huge?
Oh yeah, man. I agree. Freaking awesome.Onix said:Even bigger.
He was actually a shadow of his competition form during his movie career.
There's a reason he was Mr. [list of titles] so many times. Dude was a fucking MONSTER at his peak.
MisterHero said:Oh yeah, man. I agree. Freaking awesome.
I sort of expected him to appear smaller but more defined.
However, it just reoccured to me that his head might be superimposed on a body double, so it's probably the proportions throwing me off.
I hope it doesn't look like I'm digging into this.LAUGHTREY said:That's exactly what it is. Some other (Austrian, funnily enough) guy, Roland Kickinger, is his body double with a face plastered on top. I thinkThey were going to have him act without Arnold at first, but then had Arnold agree to do it.
I don't know why you guys are so critical of it, it's not like the other effects look like shit. It looks like it was taken off-screen to me. It will probably be better in theaters.
