come on, I was using a bit of hyperbole. 18 years is a long time and slice down some stabbing and kneecaping and you are done.
I remember watching the BBC tv edit and it wasnt the hatchet job that you 'blood-bayers' may think it was.

anyways, embargo up soon, so will know what the LA and NY times thinks :)

Now I see why you identify with McG. BECKPEDDLER.

There is no way T2 would be as great as it is with a PG13 rating.

Havent really been following this because T3 was such shit.

But saw a trailer recently and it caught my interest (although almost anything can be made to look good in a trailer).

They seem to have side-stepped the whole Arnold thing by having the future slightly changed from what was expected; a terminator that thinks it's human or something...i.e. T800 never exists I guess. Is that right?

Anyway, will probably watch it unless the early reviews are poor

That's definitely BS.

Besides, I don't think I've seen a movie that tries to incorporate "hard" action and had a PG-13 rating that felt right. Every one of those movies are brought down a notch or two (or even more depending on the context/content) by being shot/trimmed to a PG-13 rating. There are great PG-13 action movies...but every one of them would have been better if they weren't restricted to that rating.

As far as T4 goes, we'll see what the DVD/BR release is like. That will show us whether it was seriously shot for "R" or not. The problem with DH4 is that they tacked it on afterwards. Definitely not the same thing.

lol@ this

THE DVD WILL BE UNRATED
THE DVD WILL BE UNRATED

Repeat after me
THE DVD WILL BE UNRATED

Can you guys please stfu over the rating now?

Nope. They haven't made the t-800 yet in this movie. And the Arnold-thing is still there.

Nah. Here's how it goes:

This focuses on the early part of the war, when the plasma weapons and such haven't been developed yet. SkyNet is still trying to figure out how to create convincing infiltrator units - living flesh over a Terminator, the T-800. One experiment it performs towards this goal is implanting the Terminator skeleton into a human, resulting in Marcus Wright, the main character of the film.

In the meantime SkyNet is fielding bulkier T-600s, with rubber flesh (these were described in Terminator 1). SkyNet is continuing to kidnap humans to replicate their tissue, and at some point in the film it perfects the technique and creates the T-800. Arnold makes a CG-assisted cameo as a brand new T-800 Model 101.

I dont identify with McG, what a silly thng to say. Since i am more of a tech noir filmmaker there is another guy who i would align with more... i wonder could you guess.

Also, as stated above, I have seen a cut down version of T2, and it doesnt 'ruin' the movie, in anyway.

anyways, enough of you.

I was on AICN last night and they had a review of T4, I went to link, didnt, went back and its pulled. impressions were good, cons were no real character development and some funky structuring. that would be explained by the 30mins of trim i guess.

nice '3d' poster video

The unknown future of this film rolls toward us. I face it for the first time with a sense of hope, because if a machine, a
Arnold
, can be in this film, maybe we can stop riding Cameron's fricking balls for 2 damn seconds and enjoy ourselves.

For good or for bad (depending on the circumstances), one thing you have to know about McG is he is definitely a fanboy of certain universes.

Related to this, he really does seem to be a huge Terminator fan. Whether that helps or hurts him, remains to be seen.

:lol :lol :lol

BaleOut will never be forgotten, it seems. McG's reputation as a director is not the only PR problem with this film. At this point, I'm only watching it to see Sam Worthington in his first major starring role. Can't wait to see him in Avatar and Clash of the Titans.

i just watched terminator 3 on tv last night at 2am because there was nothing else on

the scene with nick stahl in the future leading the resistance literally made me laugh out loud

he looked awful

Gee, might as well not bother with movies this summer if Trek is the absolute, unbeatable benchmark. What a sad statement to make.

I hope he also thought nothing could beat Transformers in 2007.

You've never used hyperbole to praise a respected piece of work among your colleagues?

I highly doubt that he believes that Star Trek is the best movie ever made. If he had said that Star Trek is trash and Terminator 4 will wipe the floor with it, he'd look like a self-indulgent asshole.

Reporter: Do you think it's better than Star Trek?
McG: Nothing's better than Star Trek, that movie is so good it's unbelievable. I am Salieri to J.J.'s Mozart.

THANK YOU. I feel the same way but, I'll still see Terminator just for the fun of it. Cause it's Terminator! I can't anything else this year to be nearly as Epic as Star Trek.

SORRY TRANSFORMERS! You're nothing super incredible.

McG....you're not the Salieri of anything. Dude is like one step above Uwe Boll

McG is lucky he had Nolan's brother tweak the shit out of the script.

I think your shit-0-meter is broken, friend. Because you're seriously, SERIOUSLY deluded if you really think that.

Oh what? music videos and commercials?

Regardless of how you feel about Charlie's Angels as a movie, I didn't see direction as a problem. I haven't seen We Are Marshall, but it was decently received.

Most importantly, Chuck's pilot was awesome. :D

I'm sure there's a happy middle somewhere.

Do I task you Sculli? Do I? You'll chase me round the moons of Nibia and 'round the Antares Maelstrom and 'round Perdition's flames before giving me up won't you?

The only good thing that McG has done so far, at least for me, was "Chuck". So awesome.

You should watch Supernatural then. He produces that as well, and it's awesome.

So guys, who is going Wednesday night at midnight? I'll be there.
