No I don't, who the hell follows meta-critics so much? It's a bit of advise that's it. You honestly thought T3 was a great movie?

You don't understand how RT works? 70% just means 70% thought the movie was good. Basically a 3/5 would make it into the good category. That's why I can see T3 having the ranking it has. 36% though sounds awful.

T3 is a solid movie, certainly no disgrace to the series like TS seems to be.

Don't bash T3 to prop up what is clearly a disappointment.

Many, many people have said they like TS better than T3 though.

Because people are morons that never look past the rotten rating (like people bitching about the Star Trek rating vs TDK). All you need is a 6 to get a "fresh" rating so we're comparing a movie that got a 6.6/10 average to a movie that currently is at 5.3/10.

Have you seen TS?

T3 is way more of a disgrace to the series than TS will ever be. I recognized T3 as a shit film when I saw it for the first time 5 years ago. I'll be perfectly happy to never see it again. But I'm considering seeing TS again once it opens if a bunch of my friends go.

I thought everyone agreed T3 was awful? It's like I've stepped into Bizarro world.

Holy shit... that's crazy. But to be fair some of the scenes are just classic Terminator cannon (the shotgun and glasses come to mind). The action scenes themselves are unforgivable though. I never realized how similar they were (probably due to the long years in between sequels).

TS touches on a few of those, but they come across as homages rather than being creatively bankrupt and a complete retread. Most notably in TS there is a brief
truck/bike chase, with a twist!
and John Connor
says "I'll be back"
(Not huge spoilers, but it ain't out yet so I'll be nice)

I don't see what is so bad about T3. *shrugs*

Yeah, we're in the same boat, I enjoy the Terminator as a franchise, T3 stands out for its obvious reasons but when I went to see it I didn't feel cheated. I expected a solid action film and I came out satisfied.

Yeah T3 is no where near as bad as many made it out to seem. Sure its a crappier version of T2 but I actually really like what they did with the judgement day storyline, how they finally saw there was no way to stop it and to actually see it occur. Cool stuff.

This is exactly how I feel, especially the little added bits to the story. After T1 nothing else should have really happened. Sending the Terminator back in time was Skynet's LAST RESORT, so it really doesn't make sense that they could send another one 15 or so years later. The whole revelation about Judgment day being unavoidable clears that up.

I'm looking forward to this despite all the negativity. T1-3 are essentially the same movie, this looks to be a little different at least.

T3 is averagely awful

seriously, watch it again
Recently did, and it's still fun and has its highlights.

The crane chase is one of the best setpieces in the franchise, including the Cameron flicks. Hell, it's one of the top car chase scenes in all action cinema.

CRANE CHASE IS TEH AWESOME

A buddy of mine got back from a special screening and told me this movie is as bad, if not worse, than T3. I've abandoned all hope for it.

That "matches" numerous events out of order and leaves out the many differences between the movies. It's not very accurate.

Not to mention you could a fairly similar thing with the First and Second film. Which I why I think The Terminator is the best of all the films.

I'm getting a serious X3 vibe from this movie's buzz. Mostly crappy reviews with a few "NO it's goood - HONEST!" pleas thrown in from a few people. I'm still curious but I'm not expecting to like it anymore.

Which should dispel the allegations that Knowles can be bought off.

McG showed up at Knowles's 24-hour birthday party (7 in the morning) to show us 20 minutes of the film which looked AWESOME. It was kind of surreal how chipper McG was, that early in the morning after the rest of us had endured 17 hours of movies and insanity. Then McG gave Harry a gift: a terminator skull built by Stan Winston. If that won't get you a good review, then I think it proves Knowles's integrity.

Doesn't mean that he is right, but he is honest.

Some of the positive reviews don't sound very...positive.

Being a rabid fan that grew up on the franchise created by James Cameron, the idea of McG getting behind the camera for this sequel was slightly nauseating, and yet, by some miracle, the fourth film in the franchise is (barely) passable.

McG's revival of the Terminator franchise is a solid actioner, but lacks the entertainment value of James Cameron's landmark originals.

As long as McG keeps the action moving, the film remains on solid ground, matching and often surpassing the thoroughly adequate 2003 entry Terminator 3: Rise Of The Machines.

The machines are mindless, yes, but there are enough pyrotechnics and heavy artillery to feel like Armageddon squared. And when the story starts to crumble around Bale, Worthington is there to pick up the pieces.

Despite some laughably silly plot elements, McG has created an overall entertaining movie experience.

You should probably turn your "brain wattage" down in order to enjoy this silly science-fiction thriller.

And this one doesn't need any bolding:

McG rips off so many scenes from other films, I wasn't sure which movie I was watching!

:lol

shit was fucking awful.

oh hey here's someone new from the future. and here's your new weekly terminator. and hey, john is still a whiny bitch. bleh.

TS is better than X3.
