Wallace is in it too? Yess.... Was always bummed when they lost him for huge swaths b/c of budget issues.
Was that really the issue? I just assumed he was busy doing something else. Poor guy, just cut like that.

As we move into the final week of the Kickstarter campaign, I wanted to invite any backers in the Austin, TX area to come celebrate with me next Friday, April 12th, from 8-11 pm, at the Dog and Duck Pub.
The Dog and Duck Pub is located at 406 W 17th Street, Austin, TX 78701. (It's at the corner of 17th and Guadalupe.)
Together, we can count down the final couple of hours of the Kickstarter campaign. Plus, the documentary film crew that has been following me around during the course of the campaign will be there as well, and they'd love to put you on camera. We'll be doing interviews with Veronica Mars fans.
Please RSVP through my email address on this site. We'd love to get a rough headcount. The Dog and Duck will reserve the back patio for us if we know we're going to have enough people to w arrant it. It's a bar, so, naturally, it's 21 and over.
I'd love to see you there for the celebration. Whatever happens during this final week, we're already so thrilled and grateful with how it's gone.

Damn this kick starter is over $4,800,000. With just 4 days to go I wonder if they'll get 5 million.
Still doesn't sound like a lot for a feature film.

I thought they were only doing advertising, distribution, etc. (I say "only" knowing that that's still a lot of money.) They are putting money toward the actual production as well?WB is still going to provide funding - more than what's being raised through Kickstarter, I would guess.
The Kickstarter project wasn't just about raising funds; it was about proving to the studio there was an audience for it.

Maybe I'm wrong. I dunno.
But if it goes over-budget or anything, WB will obviously be on the hook for it.
So now, there is only 24 hours left to back this Veronica Mars Movie Project.
Will this project become the most backed Kickstarter?

No.
There's no way it makes 10m.
Yes this, it only needs 4620 backers to beat it.He's talking about money but about the number of people backing it. It could snatch the record away from Double Fine.
Now this is a central-Texas GAF meetup I could get behind.
That place is way too small for such an invitation to be made.
It has now 87.305 backers, the highest number on Kickstarter history, and it reached 5.5 million $. That´s 500.000 $ in 24h, not bad.
Not bad for famous people who have already made it in their industry.
Pebble and Ouya?Unlike previous record holders right?
909 backers to go!
It seriously needs to end there, lol, that would be too perfect
Too late. Have to settle for 91k
Also, Jason Dohring apparently showed up at the sendoff party thing in Austin, which is kind of cool.
