Official Zelda Minish Cap thread

Good game, but the love here for it never clicked with me. Had more fun with 4 swords GC myself.

2 of the dungeons and their items completely rocked and were very fun and excellent Zelda duneons. The rest just felt like doing the motions and I didn't find the overworld exploring or story very interesting. Too much fetch questing and nothing kills a game more for me than constant item fetches :\

Buying two copies on Tuesday, along with my RE 4 collector's tin. One copy to play, and the other to leave sealed, and add to my Zelda collection.

Damn. Is that you? Not bad.

You're the redhead in the back with the small head!

I'm still hotter...and attainable. :)
Attainable? I'm not surprised, if you're as you insist. You're one of the most coarse members here. Shouldn't you be bench-pressing children right now or something? Practicing on a banana?

It's the small town girl in me. Rough and tough. :)

I just got a used GBA from my cousin with an old Zelda game he said was on the Super Nintendo before. I love it so if this one is similar I will have to buy it. :)

Yes, it's good stuff, buy it.

To all the ppl going OT, damn u.....this is about Minnish Cap!!!!! Yes she's cute now get a girlfriend and stop ogling at a picture. It's time to get back to the greatness of this game!!

More Kinstones! I've heard they can bring good luck and all. Ok, actually I have no idea what the new content is...

I don't think its possible for them to add more kinstones, due to the limit of 32-bit integers.

Why are those ads taking up like a whole page? They gotta be different than the weekly newspaper ads...

Oh shit, I've been confusing the two stores this whole time....$22.99 at Circuit CIty, $25 at Target, oops!

played through the first dungeon last night. It was pretty fun, I am glad the hat piped in and told me I couldn't solve a puzzle just yet or I would have sat in that room for an hour :lol

So far it is shaping up to be another great adventure for link, with some excellent graphics (Zelda's best in 2-d yet though I haven't played 4 swords) and music/sound that will have you doubting its coming out of your GBA's shitastic speakers.

I have been skipping all the story and text so far (could you do this in other zeldas? I have never tried) because I only have a little time with this cart and I have to start again next week, so I just wanted to get to the action. So I can't comment on that,

The gust jar is fun, I hope they expand on it in later dungeons.

If the dungeoning stays high tier for a majority of the game it could easily replace LttP on my Zelda ranking

EDIT: almost forgot the text speed and "brightness" options. Putting the screen output to dark helps counteract some of the SPs colorwashing effect. it makes the colors look pretty rich. Probably looks great on the DS in dark mode :)

I have so much backlog to get through at the moment that I'm not minding the delay it will take outpost.com to ship it to me. But dang, I'm excited to play. I love the idea of how bosses are just regular enemies but you're small.

Not all the bosses are just "regular enemies but you're small", but yeah I know what you mean. That concept is very cool and the fact that any bosses at all maintain that principle is quite clever.

Really, Capcom had some really awesome ideas for Minish Cap. I'd love to see them collaborate with Nintendo for a 3D Zelda game on DS.

There are 6 dungeons, not 5.

I don't know how long the game took me, but I'd guess...15 hours? I'm not certain of that though.

There are a lot of side quests I haven't done though.

If you're really good at Zelda the game is actually on the short side, though. I beat it in a really short amount of time when I played the Japanese version and ignored all the sidequests. 4-8 hours in conceivable then without any problems.

But with the Kinstone Fusion quest you can tack quite a bit of time onto that.

Im thinking about getting this game, mainly because it seems more like Link to the Past then anything else. But Im going to israel and one of the reasons IM thinking about getting this game would be because I wanna consume time, so how long is the game?

Hahahah. I was tempted to CANCEL my trip to Israel when I realized when this game was coming out, but I didn't feel like paying a fee to get my ticket changed. So here I am in the Holy Land (since 12/31, until 1/15) and can only hope that EBGames.com will have shipped mine by the time I get back. Cannot wait!

Played through a lot more last night. The game is fun.

if you like zelda at all you really should pick it up.

amesome game. People will be surprised over the excellent music on GBA!

It's without a doubt the best soundtrack on GBA.

I've been working on the game over the weekend, and I must say this game is fantastic! Right up there A Link to the Past (I didn't like The Four Swords Adventures as much....too restricting) and one of the best Zelda titles to date!

But right now I'm stuck. Someone help me!

I need to wake up Rem and get the Pegasus Boots. I don't know how to get to Syrup's House in the Minish Woods because all the directions are blocked off by water and/or boulders. I can't find my way! Assist me!

:(

Damn. Fantastic art in those wallpapers.

Hopefully if Nintendo does go through with anime we can see a new Legend of Zelda cartoon.
