Oh, hey GAF. What are y'all doing for Valentine's Day?

I'll cook her a nice steak dinner. This is the last weekend before we move into our new house and we have a LOT of stuff to do. Gonna be a fun weekend packing.

I just started dating this girl over a month ago but I'm not sure whether we are actually supposed to do something special tomorrow. I'll probably end up inviting her over, cook something, drink some booze while watching Netflix and have sex. Yeah, I guess that's about what will happen tomorrow.

If not that then we'll probably go to someone's place to party, come back to my house and have sex. Either scenario is fine by me to be honest.

Kidding, haven't dated a girl willing to throw away the day to do that. We're seeing 50 Shades.

Nothing romantic this year. I'll be 9 days passed my due date so maybe there will be a baby but most likely i´ll just hang around the house like a stranded whale as usual lately. Play a game or two or watch a movie with the hubbie.
Was kinda hoping for a friday the thirteenth baby :(

We are going to a really nice restaurant, and then back to my place afterwards for wine and chocolate tasting. Never in my life have I tasted chocolate like this.

I think the girl I'm texting has been hinting that we should go see Fifty Shades. However, I'm getting mixed signals. She seems to want to hang out ("I'll come over and review your dancing video games for you") and then says let's wait and see how things go for a week.

I'm getting sick anyways, so I probably won't ask this weekend.

Volunteering.

The dogs at the shelter need love too, especially considering most of the staff will be out. I'd hate to see a staff member to struggle to accomplish everything.

I don't have a significant other, but I'm going to be productive somehow at least. No point in sulking.

Take the woman out for some dinner then to pick out a new coach purse. Take her to the casino for a bit. I got her a vegan cake. Hang out, do each other real good, then go to sleep.

Sneak some mh4 if I can manage it

I'll be working the night... which is sure to be a blast, because:
1. Who the heck is going to come to a grocery store deli on Valentine's Night? (I'm sure I'll be surprised)
2. Since all the couples requested the whole day or at least the night off, it'll be all the wacky single people working and we'll spend the night distracting each other from the fact that we're lonely saps with fun times.

So yeah, better than sitting at home alone.

My girlfriend is flying in tonight for the weekend, so we're having a nice dinner tonight and then having drinks with my roommate and his boyfriend (and maybe going out), and then tomorrow we're gonna go see a movie, lounge around, and then go to a huge concert in the evening :D

Local florist fucked up the flower order I got through FTD for my wife; ordered a dozen roses and a vase, received wilting tulips and no vase (we were celebrating it yesterday since we couldn't go out to eat tomorrow). I don't fault FTD though; they refunded my money even though I didn't ask, and she's getting the order tomorrow on Valentine's day now. Guess we just have bad luck with florists in Kitsap, issues now with every order we've received.

Dinner yesterday was awesome though. If you're ever in Tacoma, gotta try out Asado, an Argentinian place. Best food I've had in Washington hands down. I want to eat steak and polenta for every meal now.

Have some good sushi for me. No good sushi around here ;__;

Maybe Inari and Tamago?
That gives you an excuse to learn how to make it!

We just let the chef pick what he wants to make us. We've tried almost everything on the menu at least once, and it's all delicious.

A local pizza place makes giant heart-shaped pizzas for Valentines Day, so Mr. Thebeeks and I will be chowing down while making fun of The Phantom Menace because we've been on a real Star Wars kick lately and have already watched everything else.

I have some artisan (lol) cupcakes being delivered; pre-bought tickets to see Kingsman matinee; we didn't make dinner reservations but might try to go to an early dinner somewhere. If that fails we'll just order pizza and watch movies.

So I started looking for restraurant reservations for Valentines day about a month ago and every quality restaurant in Philadelphia is booked solid. It's very annoying, actually. We did manage to get into Talula's Daily Secret Supper Club for dinner tonight, but absolutely NOTHING was available on actual valentines day that was remotely quality. It's frustrating because we are foodies and eat out a high-end ($40-60 per person minimum) every weekend and because of the holiday things went crazy.

Today I'm making Horse Detective's favorite dessert from scratch (
apple pie !
) and red velvet cupcakes for his family. Tomorrow, we'll probably just adventure out. Grab coffee, some sweets, eat lunch/dinner together, and probably watch more of Boardwalk Empire since we're obsessed.

We show each other how much we love each other every day with little things so doing anything fancy because everyone else is just seems odd. I'm overall just grateful to love someone who loves me just as much in return. I can't ask for anything more. I'm lucky.

You poor soul :(

no way. he's going to see so many women coming and going. i'm sure a lot will be attractive. will be like a parade in there. i say enjoy it haha.

i'm hanging with a girl i met this past weekend. take-out and movies at my place. very casual. super excited though. she's awesome. unless she ends up being a nut job and has been hiding it i'm pretty sure we'll be in a relationship within the next month or two.

It's my birthday, plus my woman and I both hate V-Day, so I'm going to open presents, eat at my favorite BBQ place, go see Kingsmen, play Cards Against Humanity with friends, then finish up watching both My Bloody Valentine movies (remake and original).

Yeah Valentine's Day + Saturday is usually booked wayyyyy ahead of time for anything remotely decent.

Slacked this year so I'm in the same boat as you; other than the fact I don't really find it frustrating. We go out so often it doesn't really matter to miss out on Valentine's day.

Last year was sort of hilarious; restaurant had a power outage right as our appetizers were served which also caused a small grease fire as the lights going out caused someone to drop something they shouldn't have. Place had to be evacuated.

Got free appetizers but ended up eating at the bar of a restaurant that was nice 20 years ago but has gone to shit.. lol.. a story to tell at least.

Well, apart from thinking about the fact that I've been single for 7 years and dreaming about girls (either real or imaginary) in my sleep for the past few days, nothing out of the ordinary.
