Oh snap! He wasn't high??!! :lol

Probably doesn't consider his drug of choice a "drug" but probably a medium which he can use to commune with the universe.

Or something like that.

For those looking for a scientific explanation, a rainbow is caused by the spiritual vibrations of the Earth being briefly "tugged" away from below Her surface due to the draw of the sun and moon, making Her spirit visible to us. A double rainbow represents a spiritual split between the feminine and masculine forces that drive rebirth, suggesting that the Earth will soon be going through a renewal phase.
:lol this is gold.

Update: It was a fake tape. :(

Fast Company, whatever that is, tracked down the man behind Double Rainbow All The Way, Paul Vasquez, aka the “Yosemitebear Mountain Giant,” to interview him about how videos go viral and whether the people who make viral videos have a level of influence over the developmzzzzzzzz. OH EXCUSE ME, I JUST FELL ASLEEP. I mean, I know that is kind of what Fast Company is about, but if there is anyone who has no idea how videos become viral and, more importantly, WHAT IT ALL MEANS, it is Double Rainbow Guy. That being said, this is still the interview get of the year. Everything this cagefighter turned naturist (cagefighter turned naturist!) says is double gold:

“When I first shot it, I was like, Whoa,” says the professional cagefighter-turned-nature-lover. “I always knew it had the potential–that it was special–and I was thinking it was going to catch on. I shot a video before called Giant Intense Rainbow that had the capability of going viral, but when I shot this one, I was like, this is even better.”

“People are connecting with it because they feel the spirit in it,” he says. “I feel like Noah, because I’m building what seems like an ark here. I have greenhouses, fruit-trees, and I’m working toward alternative energy. It was probably something like the burning bush that Moses experienced.”
How lame? Sooo lame.

i watched the omg double rainbow video on gaf a couple weeks ago or whatever, chuckled a little bit, then yesterday all of my coworkers are talking about it. this is out of hand.

p.s. he intentionally wanted it to be a viral video? now THAT is fucking hilarious...

He intentionally created it to become a viral video.

Hi, how was your nap? Welcome to the year 2010. Wow, the future, huh? Must be weird for you. Hate to be the one to tell you this, but just about everybody with a video recording device is well aware of the possibility that their videos will become popular once put on youtube.

The use of the phrase "going viral" was clearly led on by the interviewer. Nothing at all in the excerpt you posted implies anything of the video was faked, just that he felt it could reach a large audience.

Read the article. He didn't create the video to try and send it viral. The poster that pasted the article is just dumb.

He's not cashing in on it ? Bullshit. Why does the YouTube video, the original, with 7.8 million views, have a link to the official t-shirts, which are $30 US a pop ?

Yeah, he sounds like a douche when you are staring at your computer listening to it. And I'm sure he's still sound like a douche if you were there with him.

However, you gotta admit that you are partially envious that you can't experience that kind of pure joy just be seeing a rainbow.

Someone played that clip on Team Fortress 2 the other day . . . . not exactly a meme I've heard about before.

Yosemitebear
I was born in the Barrios of East Los Angeles and lived in LA until I was 22 years old when I moved to Yosemite National Park to work in the park. I married into the Yosemite Indian tribe and had two Yosemite Indian children who I helped raise in that culture. I bought raw land just outside Yosemite and developed it myself where I am setting it up to be self sustaining.

OH MY GOD! DOUBLE RAINBOW! Saw this while driving down the road. It did not bring me that much joy, TBH. False advertisement?

Wow, that was really, really, really, really, really stupid. That's like the worst commercial for something I've ever seen. Way to go, Microsoft. Wow.

I look forward to their "haters gonna hate" Kinect ad.

They're just preparing you for their Kinect ads.

It seems like Japan is finally spilling over into mainstream America. Someone does something funny, then put them on variety shows and commercials. I'm so happy I could cry.

I finally get why one of the characters in League of Legends is always talking about double rainbows, and asking what they mean. :lol
