Adventure Time was a test. They're taking everything good from it's game, and making it a million times better for the better show, of course.

AT was a really good, yet short Zelda 2 clone. It actually got me to watch the series more often. Ditto with Aliens. Awesome game. One of the last great DS games.
Either way, hope we see RS's mock Master System in some way...

I have to agree. This season so far has been disappointing since that let down of a season premier. I sadly lost most interest in the show and always find myself just tuning into the new Regular Show.
I'd say Regular show is a predictable unpredictable show. You know something crazy is going to happen and that an 80s song will be incorporated somehow, but you really don't know how it will get from point A to point B. And that just works, at least for me it does. Adventure Time has interesting characters and settings, but doesn't ever really use that to its full potential. Not to mention the conclusions to the episodes are usually....ugh...
I demand at least one 80s montage song in the game!

They need the voice talent for this game. That was the biggest problem with the AT game, considering goofy voice work is a good 50% of the show's humor. AT almost feels like a fan game, just because there's not much specifically "Adventure Time" about it, besides the sprite animation.

Infestation wasn't bad, mind you - it's reasonably fun and uses the license pretty well - but goddamn if it isn't a parade of good or interesting ideas that fall short in execution.
Nineteen distinct playable characters, each designed by Chris Fucking Bachalo? Great, except that they all amount to interchangeable lives in gameplay, with no benefits or drawbacks to each one.
A cover system, in a side-scroller? Neat! Except that it's practically useless in action.
A variety of huge alien bosses! Except that nearly all of them are boring-ass bullet sponges.
A Metroid-style structure? HOLY FUCKING SHIT THAT SOUNDS AWESOME. Oh, but sorry, the level design is sub-Igavania in quality, with absolutely no puzzles or platforming to speak of. Just the same enemies popping out in the same locations, and key hunts.
As for Adventure Time, I only played the demo, but it seemed to be a series of fetch quests combined with nonexistent level design, with the script being the main thing to recommend it. None of the impressions I've read of the full game have convinced me that it's significantly better.

I just hope for non-WayForward because almost all their games lack content. They feel like some weird middle ground between flash game and proper handheld game.

Both are bad, but the Adventure Time fanbase is much worse. Personally, I haven't "enjoyed" a Cartoon Network original production since the Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy.

Eh. If it weren't for the plots, RS would be unremarkable. I don't know how anyone who finds the characters on Adventure Time annoying can like Regular Show. It's Mordecai and Rigby who are annoying when left to stand on their own.
