Like most kid actors, I assume that they either get disinterested or they can't transition. Acting seems like a fun thing to do when you're a kid, but by the time you reach adulthood it can be less glamorous.

DCOM Queen Brenda Song seems to be dong okay for herself in Hollywood, though, so there's at least one success story out of that.

Disney Channel used to have some legitimately good movies. There are probably a good dozen or more that I loved.

On topic for the thread, Blank Check wasn't a Disney Channel Original Movie, and it was probably of much higher quality than Smart House but I seriously used to LOVE Smart House, so I would choose that.

I quickly mentioned it but I should have highlighted it because I remember far too much of its plot. the name Chaz Anthony, the hockey rink cracking. I even remember thinking the girl in it was pretty cute but it wasn't until checking the imdb page just now that I learned it was Emmy Rossum. aka awesome lead of Shameless (where she's also pretty hot)

Anyone ever noticed how progressive Disney has been with casting minority actors? Like you look at their movies and tv shows, and they're WAY ahead of the curve compared to anybody else in Hollywood.
