Old gen accessories on PS4. Those who work. Those who don't.

This seems like the best thread to ask this question.

For headsets that have 2 cables ... 1 for audio, 1 for mic, what's the best solution to get these working on a PS4?

Obviously getting game sound on the headset is as easy as plugging into the controller.

Is there a special cable or adapter to get Mic/Audio into the same type of connector used on the official PS4 headset?

It sucks that the PS4 doesn't support generic Bluetooth headsets. Why is that, anyway? Is it because the controllers now have audio going to and from them, so there's just not enough bandwidth for additional audio streams? In that case it seems simple enough to allow headsets if you only have one or two controllers connected. You generally only use a headset when you're on your own anyway.

I have the original wireless headphones from Sony, PS4 says not supported when plugged in (dongle). Did Sony say they plan support?

Good news is the PS blog FAQ says you can get game audio via headphones from the DS4.

Bought a standar adapter for my x41 and the chat still wouldnt work. But i did buy the turtle beach cord they sell and that works fine. I hate not having the ability to mute though with this new cord though. Annoying unplugging the mic all the time.
