Thank you for posting this, I'm a new member here (been lurking a while) and its interesting to read some history. EvilLore has definitely earned my respect, that figure would be very tough for most people to turn down.

I'd love to know how Evilore describes to people, including dates (because he's mentioned his dating in the past) what he does. I would love to tell people I run a gaming forum but I'd probably try to simplify it down to "owning a website"

Well if he's rich as people are theorizing, its probably a little easier. "I run a gaming forum ... that has made me a millionaire" <mic drop>

take the ten million, buy the gaming-age website, start new forum. pocket 9.9 million.

I would guess him not starting a new forum for ten years would be part of the buyout.

Offered double since

... so much respect

Offered double since

EviLore is the man. Remember friends, keep clicking dem ads! =P

Also, it wouldn't surprise me if someone like Microsoft would buy the site for $10 Mil and just shut the place down to kill the bad PR lol...EviLore knows this place wouldn't be the same if it was sold, so he keeps it open for us!

Three things:

1) In general, acquisition offers have jumped up in price

2) NeoGAF is positioned for consistent growth. That's a great business model

3) NeoGAF has more of a reputation / influence than you might think. Influential people visit this site...

You are right, I'm sure some figures in the industry would love to get their hands on GAF and I don't doubt that the site is influential, I mean wasn't it where #PS4NODRM started?

And yeah I guess with these factors GAF will make over time way more money than one-time offers can really bring in.

Add revenue, you'd be surprised how much he makes. I think it's around a buck per 1000 views.. So yeah
So at this juncture, I'm curious which are the top 5 or 10 posters whose threads bring in the highest page views on average ::) Or is that a combined effort of everyone. Because face it, no new threads = no new content = no revenue = sad Evilore

So each user is effectively worth $75?

When you look at it that way
which is moronic I know
, yeah that's a shit offer.
