Oldest save files you still have?

I have SimCity 2000 saves on my Mac from the early 90s. They won't work with the GOG version of SimCity 2000 for OS X tho, because I think it's actually the Windows version. Wish I could boot up my old cities again!

First game for my SNES was Mario All Stars, so probably something on that one... tho I don't know if it's still around or working to be honest. Wasn't too invested in it anyway.

I did find my Pokemon Blue with working battery not too long ago. Guess the last time I played that was about 16 years back. Quite a trip seeing those weird random, yet recognizable nicknames.

not exactly a file, but I have pokemon from the original sapphire that i got onto ORAS with the help of other games and Pokemon Bank.

i'm sure i could go on my PS2 and find stuff about that old.

I used my Magician Lord save for the first time in about 24 years this past weekend. I will never beat that game on the AES :(

Oldest one I can think of is one of my ps1 memory cards I have in a box, most likely resident evil and gran turismo saves on it.

Oldest I know for sure that I have are sonic adventure save files on a VMU.

Oldest individual save state of me might be on Donkey Kong Land but the oldest game with a save feature I have is Zelda 1 with the batteries still working but got it only a few years ago.

I lost my memory cards. :(

If I still have them it's probably my FF7 save stuck before the place where you get the black materia something.

Honestly, I don't know. I have no idea where my old N64 is and all it's games, the intellivision and Game Gear didn't have save files, so I guess there's my Gameboy Color of which Pokemon Silver's battery died and I hadn't touched a couple of my othe GBC games in a while to know. That just leaves Oracle of Ages. My very first save file from that is still there. My precious, precious original experience with that game, a game that is one of the most memorable to me, is still saved. That's cool to me.

I still have Super Mario RPG and Pokemon Pinball laying around, so those I guess.
Did you check to see if the battery didn't die in the cartridge and you still have your original save files.

Between Ps, N64, Saturn, Dreamcast, Ps2 and Gamecube i have more than 20 memory cards with all the saves from 90's to 2007/2008

Surely something on an old PSX memory card, so long as those things still work. Maybe Metal Gear Solid or FFVII.

Actually, maybe Donkey Kong Country cart saves.

For a personal save file? I haven't checked lately, but it's probably Pokémon Yellow. I'm pretty sure my used copy of Link's Awakening DX still has a save from the original owner that I left for whatever reason. I did the same thing with my used copy of Kirby's Adventure, but I booted that up a couple years ago and all the saves were gone.

Pokemon Ruby GBA - 13 years. I have 999 days at the Mossdeep City.
GTA San Andreas - 10 years.
Max Payne 2 - 10 years.
Far Cry - 10 years.
more other games from 10 years ago that still work.

Save games still work.

Pokemon Blue, somehow the battery has not died yet. (I checked it a couple months ago, all of my other 15+ GB/GBC game saves are gone).

I still have Symphony of the Night, Marvel vs Capcom and other PSX games on my memory card

FFVII from my original PlayStation, which about 10 years after the release I beat Ruby and Emerald Weapon on my PSP. I'm fairly certain that save file is still kicking around and for extra awesome it should be on my PocketStation. :)

I have a save file from Septerra Core when it was released. Always told myself I'd go back and beat it but I never did. I think I have some PS2 saves from 2001 somewhere as well.

Does memorizing the Mega Man 3 password that takes me right to protoman count as a safe file?

If that doesn't count then it's my PS1 memory card / game shark memory.

probably Street Fighter II on the SNES. it saved on the cartridge, right? my memory is dogshit but im pretty sure the SNES had no memory cards heh. i sold the console and all the games except SFII.. not a smart move.

FF7. Has probably about 1500 hours. Doesn't even show the hours anymore, it's just a bunch of glitched blocks.

I still have my Harry Potter GBC save data with all the cards and such. I loved that game (even my sister who is not into gaming) and I regret not playing the sequel when I was a childÂ… I should probably do that.

That game was lit. Best licensed game I've played.

I still have my original Link to the Past cartridge with the save from when I beat the game the first time (the battery is still holding a charge).

I didn't really play it much due to not having a SNES after it broke and was replaced with a Genesis.

I guess my Dragon Warrior I battery save. Haven't checked it in a decade but it was still working last I checked.

Oldest that I know I still have would be Super Mario World.

I backed up all my Nintendo saves onto my computer from Super Nintendo on so I don't have to worry about ever losing them.

The saves I have on my current DS flashcart date back to my first R4 I bought in early 2009 - fairly certain that's the oldest I can go back. Maybe some 360 saves around the same period.
