shall we make this the OT for Wonderland as well?

So, I didn't see this initially, because I purchased episode 2 from Amazon Instant Video.

I went over my parent's earlier and watched the episode with my Mom and saw this, and still couldn't believe it.

Bad Form.

The cast took it as a joke and had a laugh on twitter.

Anyways after a disappointing Wonderland premier I'm ready for tonight's episode

I need to follow their Twitter stuff more, will be cute to see all the congratulations to Snow and Charming.

I'm pretty psyched for tonight as well. I do hope we get a throwback story to your boy Hook here soon.

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Were they just actually legit teasing Mulan x Aurora?!? But now we won't get it because of a stupid baby?

I think I counted plot 3 bombshells in this episode.

SNAFU with Tink(and Blue), The man with the Lion Tattoo, and queer unrequited love

All of those plotlines are FAR more interesting than this "#SaveHenry" garbage. Does anyone actually like his character? He's a glorified MacGuffin, and a really annoying one to boot.

Killing him off (for real) would be a pretty concrete way of saying that nothing is off limits.

every story needs a MacGuffin. I really want to know how Tink got to neverland

Wow I actually liked Tinker Bell alot. I was expecting her to be extremely corny.
Wouldn't mind her staying on for a while.

Mulan x Aurora
nice. Mulan is so much better this season.

Yay, so I watched the first 10 minutes
Tinkerbell is cute!
, since I promised to watch the whole episode first with my sister =/

So I'll have impressions up likely in a few days.

I was quite "HOLY SHIT" through that whole scene. I can't believe Disney is letting them GO THERE. Reflections of a new era, I suppose.
You should also spoiler-mark that as I have.

And yeah, Tink was awesome. I was thinking they were going to go another way with it. I still have sneaking suspicions that the Blue Fairy is Merryweather and Tinkerbell "reimagined" herself but was originally Fauna. All we would need is a Flora.

yeah that scene made ship them so hard but alas they cant

also is this Thor's hammer on Rumpel's cabinet? lol

Last episode was pretty chill. Tink is an abosulte babe. And I wonder where they are going with Mulan and Aurora? They have to pull the trigger on it.

Perhaps I perceived it wrong, but I was pretty sure Mulan was into Phillip. She just wanted to tell Aurora her feelings, as it was the proper thing to do.

Also, nice catch on Thor's Hammer there, I totally missed it too. Watched the episode on a shitty box TV, so no HD.

The latest episode was good, Tinkerbell was a babe. Surprised they didn't get Ann from Arrested Development to just be her, as she does her voice in the movies. She has the nose and everything.

I think the Mulan situation could go either way at this point (no pun intended) and not seem completely out of character.

Wow so much better than the first episode.
Though I still feel like "yeah, and?" It just feels like whats the point of this specific story.

So many things from regular OUAT would have made for a more interesting spinoff(Mulan,Aurora,Phillip. Hook,Tink,Pan)
The Wonderland stuff is just filler for the good Agrabah stuff.

I totally hated Season 2. I didn't want to watch Season 3 at first but some friends said it's much better; they were wrong. I'll give the second episode a shot, but even when they got rid of the very thing that made Season 2 so shitty, they still managed to screw that up.

Worst elements so far:
Discovering Pan was behind the anti-magic campaign (seriously? And because it's "easier to get people to hate things?")
Henry, always Henry (it will work if you believe!)
That long, drawn-out fight on the ship that just wouldn't stop...and then Emma's solution to stop it...
"What makes you more qualified than all of us?" --> "Because I'm a mother!" Uh...Regina has more motherly experience than all of them combined.

Emma's sole purpose was to stop the curse and she did. They need to get rid of her.

Seriously, episode 2 better bring some good stuff because it ain't holding a candle up to Coven or Game of Thrones. I have limited free time and OUAT isn't cutting it.

I disagree with most of this

The discovery of Pan being the one behind the campaign was great since they got rid of those 2 characters rather quickly. They were annoying from the getgo and couldnt have been killed off any faster. Sure the execution was done poorly but I will give it a pass since it changed the focus to just Pan.

Henry doing his usual shtick works well in Neverland since that place is about believing and letting your imagination run wild so of course the kid who was the first to believe everyone was a fairy tale character would resort to believing now that he is in Neverland.

The fight was funny. that is all

and with Coven, have you seen the second episode? I already want half of that cast to die, the only person I want killed off in OUAT is Henry.

lastly this
Emma's sole purpose was to stop the curse and she did. They need to get rid of her.

no, just no. Her purpose is to get with Hook and you will deal today and continue watching or you will deal tomorrow and stop watching, either way you will deal.

And thus my disagreement with how they handled it. I love that they've been offed, they were horrible, horrible one-dimensional characters. The good thing is they're gone, true, but I can't give them credit for sewing up one hole by filling it with shit. The whole second season's arc was driven by this mysterious organization that was implied to be a bigger bad than those two characters were capable of.

It opens up a lot of worms. How did they communicate with the agents? How did they transport anti-magic goods? What was the deal with the magic beans if they could accomplish the aforementioned without it?

Seems like another case of "let's make some mysteries and haphazardly intertwine them with a future arc."

Henry doing his usual shtick works well in Neverland since that place is about believing and letting your imagination run wild so of course the kid who was the first to believe everyone was a fairy tale character would resort to believing now that he is in Neverland.

Maybe it's because I've already given up on this show, but little quirks don't annoy me until bigger issues surface, and as small as my complaint with Henry is, I think a lot is lost on his capabilities as an actor and the whole handling of his character. Not as bad as the two agents, but not something I'd consider a highlight ether.

The fight was funny. that is all

Unintentionally for me. Plus, it served to fill episode time when they've already established what was happening. Instead, we have a 5-minute sequence on fighting over what to do with the mermaid and another 5-minute sequence on just fighting before they come to realize what's causing the storm.

and with Coven, have you seen the second episode? I already want half of that cast to die, the only person I want killed off in OUAT is Henry.

The only characters I don't care for thus far are Frankylestein and his two necromancers, but I'd say so far it's better handled and acted than anything in OUAT. :)

no, just no. Her purpose is to get with Hook and you will deal today and continue watching or you will deal tomorrow and stop watching, either way you will deal.

She needs to die because Hook is mine.

I enjoyed the latest episode but I almost feel as if I'm waiting for the overarching story to emerge. You had the anti-magic guys in the last episode but that became consumed by the Henry/Pan storyline.

I liked the first episode but it does indeed get better. watch up to episode 3 and if you don't like that then this season might just not be your thing.

I am pumped for episode 6, hurry up November 3rd.

But Marilyn Manson has this image of being sadistically creepy and weird (whether true or not), so why employ him if not to capitalise on that.
He's probably too creepy for "family friendly" ABC.
That's probably why they are just using his voice. They can capitalize on the weird factor but not actually have to show him on screen. I'm not saying I agree with their choice of how to use them, just that I can see why they'd do it that way.

I appreciate that the characters from the real world made the fairy tale characters aware of their Disney counterparts. When they get back from Neverland, I want to see an episode where they all just sit around watching their own Disney movies. Also, does anyone else think that the Blue Fairy is getting a little dark? She already
Lied to Snow and Charming, criticized Nova for wanting to be a fairy godmother, then cut off her and Grumpy's relationship, and even though Tinkerbell broke the rules, Blue was still pretty harsh in her punishment
. Even Snow's shown more leniency and kindness in dealing with matters than her,
aside from the whole thing with Corra

Probably a bit too early to tell, but do you think Blue Fairy answers to someone else higher?

Well, she's Mother Superior in the real world, so I'm assuming that she's the highest power among the fairies, especially since most of the fairies shown answer to her. I think she's going to have some kind of dark past or be revealed to be slightly corrupt. Does that seem too far-fetched?

It's very possible, and the series could definitely spin in all sorts of directions. Unless..."Yensid" =P

That seems like a pretty possible prediction. With all of the emphasis on magic, I'm actually surprised that Yensid hasn't shown up yet, especially because the entire plot of the Sorcerer's apprentice revolves around magic coming at a price. Maybe Yensid will be the light to balance out Rumplestiltskin being the dark one, or he could just be the source of all magic. I don't think it's a question of "if" Yensid shows up, more of a question of "when?"

Maybe "if", if Once does not get a fourth season. And the ratings are dropping. :(

Depends on what ratings are enough for ABC Disney.

I just watched episode 4 and loved it. My favorite episode of the season. Pretty much anything with more Rumplestiltskin is a favorite of mine.

i think the actor that plays Pan is brilliant too. They've nailed all the casting in my opinion except for Henry. It's why him having less speaking parts this season is even more appealing.

Definitely much better than all of Season 2 already. Love that we're still seeing a bit of Belle too.

Finally some interesting stuff from Wonderland.
Robin Hood scene, Maleficent(kinda) Knave & Anastasia backstory.
A direct Star Wars reference lol.

God, just cut the Wonderland stuff and they might have an interesting show.

Haven't seen the newest Wonderland (yet), but it's so unappealing so far. I mean, I like it enough, and I'll keep watching because I like OUAT, but that CG is just killing me. And when they first showed
Jafar
, and he was
Sayid from Lost
, I couldn't keep a straight face lol. It's only 3 episodes in, and I've only seen 2, so I'll reserve judgment for a bit longer. It has its moments and I think it just needs a bit more time to grow. Episode 3 sounds like it should have some good moments going from Rasgriz's post.

Now, in OUAT, dat
Mulan and Aurora
scene though. I wonder if that was their intention or if its Philip she's after instead? Either way more of Mulan is a good thing. And Pan is turning out really great, that guy that plays him almost makes me hate him as much as I do Joffrey haha. He always has that smug grin.

I wonder if maybe
Henry is faking feeling "lost"?
It looked pretty convincing though, so I doubt that's the case. Really great season so far, excited for more. :)

I still think Mulan was after Phillip, she just didn't want to disturb him, and do the right thing and tell Aurora. Could be wrong of course.

Also, yes, Pan is a really great villain. He's working his magic on Henry, and there's already that little bit of distrust for her lying to him about his father. Really enjoying S3 thus far.

Oh, and Hook episode tomorrow! Can't wait! :D

OxhgjFd.jpg

I read it as Mulan being in love with Aurora

Yeah, but she confessed her feelings for Phillip earlier last season.

Of course, she could be bi, but there were no signs of that until she said to not disturb Phillip, which I took as she wanted to do the right thing and make her feelings known to Aurora as it's the decent thing to do.

Who knows, I hope they elaborate on this though.

That kid who plays Pan is a godawful actor. He's like the anti-Miles from Revolution. Where that actor is trying so hard to play cool he forgets to even act out his lines, this kid is playing Halloween party evil and overacting.

I'm convinced Billy Burke just shows up half awake/hung over, does one take, and goes back to sleep when all the scenes are done. Pan does overact a bit but he's done pretty well imo, he may just try too hard with some of his lines and expressions.

Another damn fine episode. A little sad that
Hook's brother's death
was the catalyst for him becoming a pirate, although it was very well done.

Also dat
Emma and Hook kiss!

I also agree that the Pan actor does over act a bit, but I think he's a pretty good villain and still miles ahead of Henry.
