Also, on mobile devices you don't need a subscription to play the card game online. Another plus.
There's a reason why Hearthstone isn't on any console.

Gwent and Hearthstone do seem like perfect fits, and I've thought for a while that a Hearthstone-ised version of the Pokemon TCG would work wonders on mobile and Switch. If Nintendo ever get around to making a TCG, I've speculated it would be heavily tied in with amiibo.

Switch's internet connection is a taped together p2p solution. I don't think they even have an online infrastructure yet. I imagine it'll get better once their online service launches.
That didn't go so well for Pokemon on their own battle app using figures.
Would appreciate a new Pokemon TCG
Kinda surprised Nintendo didn't jumped in the Hearthstone bandwagon yet. Pokemon TCG would be serious competition.
This is what I want.

It would be pretty good. So I guess that's why there is an online Pokémon TCG.

They definitely need to market it more then. First time i'm hearing about it.
What holds it back is not having a constant internet connection when not at home

I would start MTG:O if it was on Switch.
Blasphemy. You've obviously never played a Switch. Every genre is perfect for Switch.I think it would be ok.. not perfect.

My experience is that no matter the device, airport wifi is designed to suck on the free level. My experience so far is that the Switch has pretty iffy wifi, which makes keeping a connection "on the go" really hard even if you're just walking from room to room in a house, or walking around in at airport. So aside from having to deal with public hotspots, it doesn't even seam to work great. It's a really nice device when you're playing offline content, but the moment you need a constant connection for something it's problematic.
I would love to play something like Pathfinder Adventures on the Switch though. It could work as an offline pay once product unlike the mobile version.
I think not all games will require the subscription for online...Also, on mobile devices you don't need a subscription to play the card game online. Another plus.
Actually it wouldn't be, it's perfect for tablets and smartphones already. Doing it on the Switch would be pretty obsolete.
