Online card game for the Switch would be perfect

We're probably going to eventually get Culdcept for the Switch, if that's worth anything for this thread. Aside from that though I don't picture it being a big system for those type of games.

This is what I want.

Switch's internet connection is a taped together p2p solution. I don't think they even have an online infrastructure yet. I imagine it'll get better once their online service launches.

Nintendo doesn't prevent anyone rolling out their own managed Server solution.

I suspect Nintendo will bring F2P monetized games onto the Switch, but certain mobile-like games probably won't make the cut.

The Switch doesn't have a persistent online internet connection, so Nintendo and/or 3rd party devs/pubs will monetize it differently.

Well probably see games like the latest 3DS Kirby game, not digital TCG's like Hearthstone or Pokemon TCG (but Pokemon CO is working on a mobile app for that too).

See id say yes, but then think about what the industry is like now and realize how much nickle and diming dlc that would be involved... and that just leaves an awful taste in my mouth

Pokemon TCG similar to the GB game, but with online component similar to regular Pokemon game.

You're welcome, Nintendo.

My experience so far is that the Switch has pretty iffy wifi, which makes keeping a connection "on the go" really hard even if you're just walking from room to room in a house, or walking around in at airport. So aside from having to deal with public hotspots, it doesn't even seam to work great. It's a really nice device when you're playing offline content, but the moment you need a constant connection for something it's problematic.

I would love to play something like Pathfinder Adventures on the Switch though. It could work as an offline pay once product unlike the mobile version.
My experience is that no matter the device, airport wifi is designed to suck on the free level.
