omg, I hope they'll fix the master pd thing because now I am stuck lol. I need to kill that thing to start a quest in the post game -_-
guess I'll start the other game a bit and then farm a little on cross blood.
oi shit thats not good...

lol.
At least they know about it so Id imagine will be getting a patch soon since thats pretty serious...
Almost done with the exp inc community thread thing. Sorta.
yeah I supose they'll fix it when they'll release the disgaea portrait. so I am not too worried hehe.
and nice for the community thread.![]()
I hate writing stuff in general which is why its taking so long. lol
Also confirmed with a buddy of mine in regards to why in general Exp Inc keeps their DLC stuff for such a short period of time. devs need to pay out for bandwidth with content on PSN. Which is why to not bleed out $$$ they put stuff up for a limited time. Makes sense considering that they are a smaller dev house. It seems to be the general practice even with the games which are not directly published under them too. As happened with Kadokawa and CyberFront, still going on with 5pb / Mages too.

If anything the exp inc community thread should give me more time to wait out on the full DRPG one. As we already have EO community thread which is the other half of the DRPG community. The more obscure titles most which never came out to the US there is just a handful of us that play them anyways so overall its not like a lot of people will be able to make use of most of the info Ill have with the titles in that full JDRPG thread when it goes live after I get the title artwork.
Seems like Operation Babel placed 4th in download sales rankings, beating out the other DRPG title.

Pretty impressive considering they had that pricing issue with the initial download version too which caused them to have to pull the title from the store front for a while.
Also there is a patch, but am guessing that they would be waiting on when MAGES wants to release it since it would be their call as the publisher. Apparently they have the issue resolved and they were quite concerned about it considering the fact that it causes an "unable to progress" bug. As we saw with what happened to Dorarnae D: So with that being said hopefully soon they will get it out, as that is a pretty serious issue. So lets hope MAGES release it quick.
woot!
kinda funny how I have banner on youtube of operation babel.
I wonder if they'll add those as DLC or with a patch like they did for some of the SoSC portraits. Never played Disgaea so I probably wouldn't use them but they'd be nice to have.
Had my first wipe on one of the challenge quest bosses (). Wasn't really that it was too hard, but I overestimated my party's strength and had the level increase item on. Since that item was DLC in Abyss I didn't have it, so I need to get used to the amount of difficulty increase it gives.Arachne
Id like to think they will be doing it with a patch that also fixes those 2 main issues reported on the HP. To cut down on costs with bandwidth.
Im going to use the thief girl but the problem is Exp Inc games dont have thief characters lol
I really should go ask why that is.
I never used the Assassin type classes but assumed they had the thief skills. Just looked at the ability list on the wiki though and they don't really, haha. I guess the closest one they have is Hide. I should give Assassin a try finally.
i had one in abyss due to all the unique assassin stuff almost no non magic enemies could hit it lol. though it had such low hp non physical attacks usually one shotted it ( ̄□ ̄!!
I had that problem with most of my party the first time I played Cross Blood, which is why I started pumping stamina/VIT early on since then haha. It's overkill at the start but seems like it makes a difference later on.
Was there an item in the previous games that made enemies level down instead of up? Just revived a party member in the ICU for the first time and Noriko gave me a badge that lowers levels by 3 when equipped.
hmmm dont think so? i only remember that hachi something item which increased enemy levels.
Yeah, I think I got that item from Ilith and I've been using it. Maybe they added the one that lowers levels as a way to make the game less difficult if people are having trouble. Those items plus the gauge seem like a pretty good way to scale the difficulty for people either way. Instead of just going to a menu like Demon Gaze.
Beat the first Seven Hand boss. I'm progressing pretty slowly because I'm switching between like three other games. Might start focusing on this one for now, now that I'm into the main part of the game.
With that new triangle button to blasts through battles am sure you should be able to complete it fairly fast. 22 hours also is generally what should take someone near the end of the game is what I had found out.
I need to continue on it too but busy with so many other things currently. My party is slowly advancing using a sub blood does slow down exp gain a bit so keeps me locked out of the good equipment am finding lol
As usual my samurai is destroying everything though lol
I went with Samurai and Assassin for mine. Will see how that turns out. Since I figured I can get some of the Warrior skills from those accessories. Granted its a tough call to decide on if I want skills or an actual accessory.
This game the 斬り込み should work with the archer too. Similar to the other titles. Since I used to use that in SoSC by having the archer switch to samurai for a while was pretty hilarious. Same went for the fighters rush skill.
That skill on archer would be crazy haha. I just got a unique bow and got it to +15 so my archer's damage is ridiculous now.
I was right aboutbeing a big area, even has three different challenge bosses from the start.Green Museum
is there a date on when they're releasing the patch? good thing I have the other game to keep me busy but I am already close to the end of the main story I think lol.
Missed a few of the item pieces inand had to go back and find the hidden doors I missed. Took a little bit but got tons of experience and item codes haha. Starting using gamble codes finally to get rid of some of the uniques for the classes I'm not using, got a nice shield for the knight and some other good stuff.Green Museum
im still running around with the gauge at max and the ilith lv up code need the other from hachi to see if it does stack. one thing though is do need to do that with how slow leveling the sub blood becomes
as always its mostly just magic and other non physical attacks that are an issue ( ̄▽ ̄or if attacks make it to the rear row but thats a given lol
Finally got my copy! Anything in particular that I should know before going in? I see there's two different modes(basic/classic?), I assume all they do is change the portraits from the old customizable ones to the new ones?
Yeah, all that changes is the type of portraits for your party.
You didn't play Operation Abyss or Cross Blood right? It's been long enough since I played Demon Gaze that I don't remember some of the specifics, but I think you used the demons in that game for things like avoiding floor damage tiles. In this series, you use items/spells to give your party enfloat to bypass those tiles. There are other en-spells as well.
The other thing I wish I knew when I first started Cross Blood is that equipment can not only be restricted by blood code (class), but also alignment (good/neutral/evil) and gender. Lots of knight-specific equipment for example can't be used by evil-aligned characters.
The other big change compared to Demon Gaze is how you get unique items. There are no special points that you can go to and try to get what you want. Most equipment is either dropped from battles or crafted (some can be bought but the selection at the shop is limited). I think actual uniques might only be drops, not sure that I've ever crafted one. There are items called gamble codes that let you reroll an item for another item from the same level range as the original item. So if you have a unique bow but don't use an archer, you can gamble it for something else a few levels higher or lower.

Ah yeah, forgot about those to bypass alignment requirement.
Thedungeon is back from the other games but this time it's covered in snow. Gives it more of a depressing feeling whereas before it was kind of spooky.graveyard
Played a bit more the other day, battles go by unbelievably fast in this game! By the way, do ailments change your party formation? My battle formation changed in one of the fights, but the battle was over so fast I couldn''t really see why it happened.
Yes ailments can change the party formation such as being knocked out, sleep, paralyze etc. So you will have to use the error clear or something item / spell to remove it or go back to the base / medical facility and pay $$$ to fix it.
Also sometimes you might just get shuffled up and can use anti shuffle (this game's "whistle").
That sort of stuff isnt really ailment related though and doesnt your party reset back to normal after the battle? Since the status effects will keep your members who have certain ailments stuck to the back rows, but if you cure it in the dungeons they return to their original position. Though returning to base automatically sticks them in the med bay, so after curing them you need to go and redo your party formation :/
I think it does reset but it seems to happen most often during bosses. And yeah it's annoying having to go redo the order after med bay stuff haha.
One member of Seven Hand left to go. There's a dungeon area that I don't think was in Abyss or Cross Blood but I might be wrong since I didn't see the later game stuff in Cross Blood (the).prison
it's in cross blood hehe.
