Yeah, it just sucks that the Ocean dub of the rest of the series is all but lost. Only a few episodes can be found here and there, and a few clips up on youtube. And it doesn't look like it'll ever get a DVD release. =/

Seriously... I don't think she cares whether it's a meme or not that she got suckered into. She got to preach anti-pedophilia stuff on her show and express how distasteful it is. Her job is done.

And besides, anyone who thinks that random people (in this case, housewife-goddess Oprah) who don't find this funny won't take it seriously? Just as much of an idiot as the people they're calling out for "being ignorant" or "not getting the joke."

It's not internet culture, it's internet counter-culture. And no one pays attention to counter-culture, and gets the wrong idea about it when exposed to it. This is nothing new. See: goth people, gay people, etc.
To suggest that things that come from 4chan are considered the "mainstream" of internet culture is laughable in and of itself.
