And now I remember that Dante's Inferno had you fighting a naked demonic Cleopatra that spat out minions from her boobs. Man that game.

There was an animated movie, which was terrible and not noteworthy in any way besides the scene where a guy on a horse was upside down."Franchise"? Am I missing something, since I thought Dante's Inferno was a one off game with nothing afterwards?
watch Show Me A Hero, Drive, A Most Violent Year, or Inside Llewyn Davis for more Oscar goodness.
I love how he say Oscar has "a bit part" in Star Wars.
I wonder if hes seen the trailers and posters. Maybe hes going in blind to enjoy it more. Hes gonna be so furious sitting in that theater. "What!? How many scenes is this hack in!? Fuck you JJ Abrams!"

A star in the new Star Wars trilogy and one of the more popular young actors in film. His bigger and more critically acclaimed films have been "Ex Machina" and "Inside Llewyn Davis".who?

I don't get the hate for Dante's Inferno. It was a perfectly competent God of War clone. Not really much more than that, but not bad either.
Hello to Jason Isaacs!Fuck, I'm stupid. I kept reading Oscar Isaac but my mind mistook him for Jason Isaacs.
"no way, he had already a nice career at the time Dante's Inferno came out"
"Oh great, he's in Star Wars now ??"
"wut, Lucius Malfoy is Guatemalan ?... I'd never have guessed"
To be fair, the trailers and posters don't actually feature him all that much. BB-8 has more scenes than him.
I will say the must offensive part of Dante's Inferno was the reprints of the book with the games cover on it.
That's just in poor taste.
What the Hell? This was a thing?
Never played DI since the gameplay didn't really look like my thing. What I'd like to see though is a video game adaptation of Paradiso. That would be a lot more challenging.
.Are you kidding? He's the xwing pilot. Pretty much every time we see anything about xwings in any trailer, thats him. So he's like New Hope Luke Battle of Yavin status. Except before that he's the captured Resistance fighter, so he's also Death Star Leia status too. And BB-8 is his droid. And he's featured equally prominent to the droid on the poster.
Judging by the trailers, it seems like the first half of the movie is going to completely revolve around his capture and rescue
Bit part my butt. He's clear as day a huge part of the movie. The only reason to my mind people are underselling his importance is because he's not going around on the press tour as much as Daisy and John. Neither are any of the Imperial characters actors, or even Ford to a degree, so its not like that actually means much.
This is getting pretty off topic, sorry.

Because fuck classic literature, right?

I'm not underselling his importance, mind, and I know that he's billed as one of the three main protagonists in this trilogy. I'm just saying that if we're only going by the poster and the two long trailers, people closely couldn't really be blamed for assuming that his role is not that big. Boyega is the one with the lightsaber and Ridley has the entire introduction to herself. Isaac got a grand total of 10 seconds in the trailer and his picture is smaller than Ford on the poster.
That's because you can't really show his part without spoiling the movie's plot and its beginning.

I understand that. I'm not criticizing the decision, mind. I just find the "he must not have seen the trailer and poster if he didn't know Oscar Isaac plays a big role" sentiment somewhat weird.
I mean, of course the role of A New Hope's Leia and Luke combined would be pretty significant at least, but how could anybody know that from a brief footage of him screaming and walking away from an X-Wing?
