OutRun Online Arcade announced (PSN/XBLA)

Close down Team Sonic and form a new team to get all these old arcade racers on consoles.

OK, now I see why Codemasters went down the drain with their lastest racer (Dirt and Grid)...

God I hope this is sarcasm and not pure stupidity.

Sega is becoming so awesome it's ridiculous. It's easily one of my favourite publishers this gen, top 5 maybe.

I'll buy it, whatever, hopefully Sega gets awesome sales from this which means more games including Sega Rally 2 at 60fps.

sega has countless classic arcade racers i'd love to see, and yeah, i'd put SR 2 at the top of that list.

sr 2
sr 1
daytona 1
daytona 2
super gt
... to name a few

It's not serious. I couldn't help but stab Codemaster a bit because their racers really got "arcadified" this gen.

That's cool... I kinda liked DiRT though. GRiD sucked balls.

Please don't tell me you're trying to suggest what I think you are. Totally forgetting the fact that SRS created the best racer of this gen. and also had nothing to do with those titles.

LOL - you are joking, right? :lol :lol :lol SEGA Rally is unplayable with pad and even with wheel its just not SEGA Rally.

This was post DiRT and too late in the GRID dev process.

tks for info.
Let's hope at least Codemaster would do great arcade racers. And as for Sega, i'm deceived at the news here. They have other arcade racers I would have bought in a heartbeat and I want a goddamn Outrun 3 !!

*Bow to our new coming overlords and masters* :D

Consider it bought, but it would be nice if it came with the original arcade Outrun as I still prefer that to the sequel.

Why not wait and launch this on Dreamcast 2? Stop teasing us, Sega. Playin' with my games, is like playn' with my emotions.

AWESOME news! Day 1! I am a huge fan of OutRun and SumoDigita.

But it is a port of Coast to Coast? It says 15 courses, so it can be only the original courses from OutRun2 or the special stages from Coast to Coast.

I loved everything about Sega Rally Revo except its nutso difficulty. I can dig a challenging racer but Revo was too too much. DiRT's pretty rad though, I need to get back into it.

Well, any and all I'd check out. I just really want a blazing SR2 for the home.

Considering Outrun 2006 is one of the only games that doesn't work on my 60GB PS3...

s640x480

Hopefully this is just the beginning of a beautiful collection of online HD sega racing ports.

Judging by the video and PR, this only has the 2SP stages. 2 stages as well please Sega. And not as BOHICA DLC either.

I probably shouldn't get this since I picked up Coast to Coast and I've really haven't played it enough (despite it being AWESOME) to justify buying the same game again.

If there are new tracks or music or something that could maybe put me over the edge to buying another version....

ughhh it'll be pretty hard to not get it who am I kidding.

Only 15 courses...so less content than Outrun 2006? I think I'll stick with the PS2 port.
Well being an arcade release it's going to be a lower cost overall, 2006 may be cheaper now but not when it was first released.

Well, i already have O2 and O2C2C for xbox compatible with 360 with 2x AA and upscaling.. I'll pass.

It'd be one thing if O2/O2C2C ran flawlessly on the 360 but since that's not happening I'll gladly take a new port.

GRiD is greatness. Get out of here w/ that. Have you played it? The PC version is my most played game shit year I think.

It's not that bad. i can also run it on my softmodded xbox without the disc in prog. scan ws so all is fine.

More OR2? Very nice. Love OutRun 2 on the Xbox (and should probably pick up 2006), but if they're putting "Online" in the title on this one I hope they'll rework the multiplayer code. I couldn't even do OR2 on a local network without getting huge framerate drops.
