Over 2 million people played the Battleborn beta

The game will not bomb!

I wouldn't count on it. Depends how many of those 2 million liked it and it seems very divisive at best.

Surprised it was so low though. almost every YT video and football match last weekend had an ad telling you to download the beta.

I played for 5 minutes.

Battlewatch looking to kill each other like Blur and Split Second.
They all look the same to me. Same cartoonish generically aseptic 'zaniness', which I loathe. At least Lawbreakers gets points for being soedji tryhard (hey, effort should be appreciated) and having a lot of verticality (something slowly fading from FPS games ever since gamepads became acceptable as control schemes).

Downloaded it, played it, cancelled my preorder. I'm glad they had a beta because man i would have been pissed to pay full price for that game.

I downloaded it and deleted it after 5 mins. Do I count towards the 2 million?

Did you play it? Even 5 mins counts.

You guys are silly.

I think both games can co exist. BB is much more a Moba while overwatch is TF3.

Besides with GCU you can get both games for $90 bucks

I feel bad that I downloaded the beta and never found the time to play it, as I'm fairly interested to know what it's like. In my defence, it did drop during DS3 week.

High numbers don't mean squat without saying how /long/ any of those 2mil played. I barely made it through the first mission before quitting. Felt like a half-baked prototype with reheated Borderlands jokes, wrapped up in a Digipen student's first attempt at 'art style'.

You didn't touch multiplayer?

I never even downloaded the beta, but still got a survey asking for feedback since "You played the beta, now take the survey!".

Yea it makes me question their number quite a bit. I never signed up for a beta, didn't even know there was one, and still got multiple thanks for playing the beta emails. I don't even know how they got my email in the first place.

From Gamespot

In a blog post today, 2K shared some further statistics about the beta. From April 13-18, players completed 1.1 million competitive multiplayer matches and 1.4 million story mode episodes. Additionally, players collected 27 billion Shards.

So real numbers could be around 750K players.

Of course the same applies to Destiny/The Division/whatever betas. I was in the The Division beta, as I had access... but I never played it.
