Overwatch players, who are your favorite characters?

Roadhog.

His hook and dmg output make it easy to get kills. His self heal makes him very selfsufficient and not reliant on a healer or constant health packs.

I like Reinhardt cause I can play efficiently by just standing around and press one button and then blame my team if we loose.

Zenyatta. Can get in on the offense, heal/make enemies weak with his discord abilities and he's a badass peaceful character to boot.

Mercy a close 2nd.

Started out with Reaper and Genji as my mains.

Then Hanzo and Genji.

Then Hanzo, Zenyatta and Roadhog.

I'm pretty decent with all characters but Mercy (cba), Widowmaker (I'm okayish, I just find her inferior to Hanzo), Mei (fucking hate this character), and Reinhardt (he's fun but too slow and vulnerable).

I tend to avoid Hanzo and Roadhog, especially Roadhog, because they're not as challenging to play with. Genji is the most fun to play but least rewarding, so while I'm pretty damn good with him, I tend not to play him.

I was on a hot streak with McCree for a while but now I'm trying to git gud with Orisa and Lucio.

I like all of the support and tank characters. I like McCree and Pharah for offense characters and Mei and Junk Rat for defense. I also play Soldier, Bastion, and Torb if I need to. Basically everyone except the flankers (Sombra, Genji, Tracer) and snipers (Hanoi and Widow). It;s impossible to single out just one character. Zarya, Ana, and Winston are my current top 3 most played tho.

Zarya is by far my favorite to play as for a few reasons:

1) Maininf Zarya means that I naturally fill a tank role
2) I am very good at the "bait and bubble" gameplay style for Zarya
3) Nothing feels more awesome as a Zarya player than seeing a player in the middle of a Rheinhartd Pin or Roadhog Hook, and then bubbling them so that they magically survive.

I also do alright with pharah, although I need to get in the habit of using the concussive rockets more.

Finally I have been starting to play a lot more Zenyatta (because it's good to be able to play a healer for when your team needs one) and I've started getting the hang of it, ESPECIALLY with the Discord Orbs. I even was able to get the Rapid Discord achievement. And it's nice to be Zenyatta in case there is an enemy bastion that needs to be discorded.

Mei. I play her super aggressive and pretty much use my walls for mobility and traps.

I play tons of elimination and I don't see many that play like this. It's great!

Roadhog.

I think I'm reaching close to 100 hours on him. I enjoyed him during the beta and it just transitioned into live. He feels great to play with and can carry his own weight, as well as the teams, by getting picks. I feel like he's the least team reliant character because of this.

I am the Rocket Queen.

And my second would be: "I dreamt I was a butterfly."

Which is extremely weird to me since they didn't interest me AT ALL for the first 20 hours of playing. I simply had never bothered touching them.

I absolutely love Ana from a design and gameplay stand and from what she represents, but she's too hard to play as, so I can't bother.

Any advice for his Ultimate? When do you typically use it?
I almost always use it alongside a teammates ult. I rarely play solo, so my friends and I are almost always in sync with ults.

Also it depends on what you want to achieve. Because S76 yells out his ult, the enemy team will know. You can use that to your advantage if you know the enemy is on the objective. Pop your ult, and they will scatter and seek cover most of the time. Called "zoning". Then teammates can take advantage of that and mop up or take up a better position.

To kill people, I like to pop his ult in unconventional spots. Away from high up ledges and peaks, because that is usually where peopl expect. Don't get me wrong, those can be the best places if the enemy team is oblivious to you. But in my experience, I get killed when I pop my ult there.

I find his ult charges super fast as well (as long as you are decent with him), so don't be afraid to use your ult on only one person. Sometimes killing just 1 person can help your team push or defend.

And of course, a nano boost, Orisa ult or Mercy damage beam always helps.

My favorite used to be D.Va, but then I started to play Soldier a lot, and now I'm a bit undecided.

Actually I really like Widowmaker, it's just a shame she's hated so much + not viable on a lot of maps unless you're extremely good at her. I still find her very fun to play though, especially when it goes well. And her accent, intro, voice lines etc.. yum. :3

And I think Junkrat has hands down the coolest design. Just started playing him a little, and I think he's fun.

I've yet to actually try all heroes, and hoping I can find more I enjoy playing; I'd love to become more flexible and helpful with filling roles.

If I *had* to choose one, I'd probably say D.Va! Her mech is pretty awesome, and she's super cute.

D. Va, Reinhardt, Ana, and Soldier for Competitive.

In Quick Play I like playing as Genji and McCree. I don't play much Quick Play though.

Snipers in 3v3 (at least while our team is in the lead).

Overall, definitely D. Va.

Generally...

Control Point:
Lucio
Winston
Reaper

Moving a Payload:
Reinhardt
Mercy

Stopping a Payload:
Mei
Torbjorn

On specific maps I'll use Soldier 76 and Zarya.

Roadhog, D.Va, Zenyatta and Junkrat are my favourite heroes, both because of their design and their playstyle. I use many other heroes too though if they better fit the team comp.

I like Reinhardt cause I can play efficiently by just standing around and press one button and then blame my team if we loose.

Oh no you didn't! I hate it when people say I don't get award vote because I "stand there holding one button" :'(

Good Reinhardts know when to shield and when to smaaash :D

Tough question, it seems to vary based upon the season though. Pharah, Solider, Tracer, Lucio, and Mercy are probably my go to heroes though.

Sombra is my go-to. I love using the teleporter offensively, or placing it in an obvious space so you get players waiting for you to teleport, then I run back behind them.

The invisibility is always fun and the hacking can completely render some heroes useless

Her gun is a bit weaker but has more range/control over Tracer which is kind of nice

She also has that dope applause emote

Roadhog probably is the most fun to play for me, everything about him is great and you can pick him in pretty much any situation.
My go-to characters for tank and healer are Dva/Mercy.
I rarely play Attack, but when I do it's probably Tracer and Sombra whose playstyle I enjoy the most.

When it comes to gameplay Tracer, Roadhog and Lucio are my top 3. I love playing as them. Pharah is my go-to for CTF, and ive been leaning towards Sombra and Junkrat when one of my mains have been picked.

Personality/Design wise, Tracer Ana and Sombra are my faves.

Zen and Zarya are my most played by far.

Rein is probably my favourite personality wise but I just don't enjoy playing as him.

I've not had chance to play much lately so don't have much experience with Orisa but she could be up there too.

Honourable mentions to Hog, Tracer and Winston.

Soldier 76 for attack
Junkrat for defense
D.Va as tank
Mercy as healer (Lucio and Zenyatta from time to time depending on team composition)

I do like these characters and love the way they play. Although I'm thinking of branching out more to other characters some time in the future.

Reaper. He fits my play style so well. So much so that at one point on Overbuff I was ranked in the top 100 Reapers players on NA PSN. (I think I was like somewhere in the high sixties low seventies if I remember correctly).

The homeboy. I love Lucio's design and playstyle.
Only thing I don't like is his frog alter-ego. To me it feels tacked on and his personality doesn't match that of an edgy DJ that has to hide his face behind a mask. But oh well, at least the froggy icon is cute. LUCIOOO

Right now probably D. Va. I love flying around, getting in quick to do some damage and flying out. Her defense matrix can be a live saver for herself and for the team. It's also fun flying up at Pharah's and annoying the hell out of them haha
