Koyominogatari finished and since we have no thread for it, I am posting it here. Another collection of call-backs and references to future events. For spoiler consideration without directly embedded images for the last two episodes, for everything else I expect that people that watch everything until Owarimonogatari peek into the Owarimonogatari thread.

Koyomi Stone
Opening: Perfect Slumbers
Timeline: After Kizumonogatari, before Neko (Kuro)

Koyomi Flower
Opening: Staple Staple
Timeline: After Hitagi Crab, before Mayoi Snail
Notice: There isn’t something particular important or connecting in this episode, but it’s set before Koyomi declared his “Senjogahara Fascination” and met with Senjougahara in the park, showing that they were interacted with each other between the two first arcs. Reinforcing that Senjougahara didn’t fall for Araragi just because he saved her, but because of who he is generally.

Koyomi Sand
Opening: Kaerimichi
Timeline: After Tsubasa Cat, before Karen Bee

Koyomi Water
Opening: Ambivalent World
Timeline: After Tsubasa Cat, before Karen Bee
Notice: When Kanbaru talks about him being possibly imprisoned Araragi declares that Senjogahara would never do that. Karen Bee happens shortly after this episode, starting with Senjogahara doing exactly that.

Koyomi Wind
Opening: Renai Circulation
Timeline: During Tsukihi Phoenix when Shinbou and Araragi met Kaiki in the Donut Store at the border of the town
Notice: This is the first of the shorts that is bearing greater relevance to the rest of the series, filling the gap on how Kaiki spread his rumors and add to the Donut Store scene in Tsukihi Phoenix.
Nisemonogatari Episode 10, Tsukihi Phoenix Part 3

Koyomi Tree
Opening: Marshmallow Justice
Timeline: After Shinobu Mail, before Ougi Formula

Koyomi Tea
Opening: Platinum Disco
Timeline: After Shinobu Mail, before Ougi Formula

Koyomi Mountain
Opening: Decent Black
Timeline: During Nadeko Medusa, Before Hitagi End
Notice: Araragi mentions that he already did fix the shrine for Oshino, while Ougi refutes that “her uncle” might made some mistakes. Referring to the first row of pictures in this post.

Notice: We get a small glimpse on Nadeko’s mental status. Notice that she is also wearing the clothes she is wearing during Nadeko Medusa, before her talk to Shinobu who calls her out on being a phony.
Monogatari SS Episode 13, Nadeko Medusa Part 2

Notice: Koyomi also mentions the talisman Gaen gave him to turn Shinbou into a god.
Monogatari SS, Episode 26, Hitagi End Part 6

Koyomi Torus
Opening: Mein Schatz
Timeline: After Nadeko Medusa, Before Hitagi End
Notice: The POV is Araragi. As he talks with Hanekawa, she is shown travelling various, random exotic locations. Because that’s what he thinks where she might be, when we already know that she came to Japan.
Monogatari SS, Episode 24, Hitagi End Part 4

Koyomi Seed
Opening: Orange Mint
Timeline: After Hitagi End, before Yotsugi Doll
Notice: Yotsugi is talking to Araragi at the exact same cafe she was talking to Kaiki during Hitagi End. Probably right before she spoke to Kaiki. Right before because Yotsugi ask Araragi to call Gaen for help. Since he doesn’t, she probably gave Kaiki the money and flagpole support. Furthermore it explains how Araragi never met Kaiki during his investigations or why Kaiki could move so confidently despite being stressed before about his promise to Araragi.
Monogatari SS, Episode 23, Hitagi End Part 3

Notice again: Once again is talking to Hanekawa who is shown in various exotic locations.

Koyomi Nothing
Opening: None
Timeline: After Yotsugi Doll, before Owari 3

Koyomi Dead
Opening: None
Timeline: After Yotsugi Doll, before Owari 3, directly after the last one
Notice: We see once again the plotline that Gaen is trying to put the town to peace by establishing a new god, but getting her attempts thwarted by Araragi and Kaiki. Basically all images in this post

Notice: Hanekawa’s hunches are usually right. Fifth Row of images in this post(where Hanekawa sits in the car with Kaiki)

Notice: She is in possession of Kokorowatari, most likely taken after Araragi dashed off to save Hanekawa right after he defeated the original apparition killer. (Owarimonogatari Episode 12, Shinobu Mail Part 6)

Notice: It’s quite obvious, but we see all girls Araragi saved, as well as Ougi, plus for some reason his mother and Episode. It was reminding me of the scenes at the end of Tsubasa Cat (somewhere around the 4 minute mark) when Araragi was confronting Black Hanekawa and it cut occasionally to the girls that aided Araragi in his search, both to signify that he had earned their trust and unconditional help and that they are, at that point in time, are nowhere near him, thus that they could not help him. Connected to Gaen asking if Shinou is asleep it may be her “all-seeing gaze”, if there is something like this, to confirm if really none of his many allies in the town is close to help him. It could explain why Episode was shown, but the three specialists who played a much bigger role in the Monogatari Series and Araragi’s life are strangely absent. Now, since Gaen can’t find them in the first place, she wouldn’t be able to see them.

Setting up the stage for Owarimonogatari 3 and [Arc Name Spoiler]
Mayoi Hell

She did leave Japan. It's just that she didn't tell them when she (briefly) came back.

Is that so?
Yep. It's pretty clear in the original novel (not sure if the animated adaptation left some parts out, or if it's the translation you've used that's to blame), and one of the stories of the the latest novel is actually about one of her overseas adventures (in Germany, I believe) that happened around the time of Nadeko Medusa.

Do you remember when that's stated? I'd like to confirm for myself and take screenshots.
In that cab scene. Again, I'm looking at the novel, here, and it's possible some lines were left out of the animated adaptation (or that the subtitles you're using are off... for one thing, Tsubasa actually says that they believe she is still overseas).

You were right, I missed that nuance. Edited for more accuracy. Thanks!

Been watching this series for the past couple weeks and finally I finished Owarimonogatari. It's a pretty long one (like 75 episodes in total or something crazy like that) but it was very much worth it. Great stuff all around. Very glad this season addressed what happened with Araragi during the whole Tsubasa Tiger stuff. That was the biggest gap in the timeline outside of Kizu.

Ougi is creepy as hell and I love every scene she's in. Her and Gaen are the two biggest mysteries in this series for me, and I really want to know more about them.

There is still Koyomimonogatari to go through then !

I heard about Koyomimonogatari but I'm pretty confused about that one. Seems to be mostly a side story? Was listed as optional in the reddit guide I was looking at.

And I can't seem to find it anywhere. It's not on Crunchyroll?

You should see it, has some important stuff on Kagenui among other things.

The first half is excruciatingly dull and unimportant, the second much better but if you want , you can just watch the last 2/3 episodes. (They're like 7 minutes long or something.

And it's not on crunchyroll unfortunately.

Just got around to watching Koyomimonogatari. The last episode is indeed pretty hilarious but now it has me wanting Owarimonogatari part 2 even more now. Really hope it isn't gonna be a long wait.

About time, lol.

Yeah now, I'm not sure if I ever finished the last 3 eps. of Koyo..

From what I understood, the two 40-minute episodes today are
Mayoi Hell
and Hitagi Rendezvous. I believe tomorrow will be 3 episodes for Ougi Dark.

Glad I finished marathoning the whole series when I did. Started with Bake on June 11, finished Koyomi last week.
