PAL Charts - Week 1, 2017

UK seems to be the only area where Call of Duty is above Battlefield 1, everywhere else BF1 is beating it.

Activision should have known that the massive disliking on Youtube actually meant something.

04 (03) PS4 FIFA 17 (ELECTRONIC ARTS)

That was a hell of a come back from both Watch Dogs 2 and Steep. Surprised to see Dishonored 2 and Titanfall 2 that low.
Also, with all data already shared in this thread about FF XV sales compared to XIII, I don't think the sales are disappointing. Lower than XIII but still not the tremendous drop we've seen in other games.

This is Watch Dogs 2 for last week of November.

06 (02) WATCH DOGS 2 (UBISOFT) - 81,900 / 159,900 [+5%]

You said it is close to 400k... so that means in December Watch Dogs 2 did less than 240k???

Cod really bomb across Europe, BF 1 showing better legs and sales I say damn!

Infinite Warfare has killed the franchise, only Treyarch can save it now unless Sledgehammer Games puts out a remarkable game.

Activision must be hitting the panic button right now.

Are these last guardian posts jokes or what?

Considering the kind of game it is in the season released with the kind of competition from new games as well as sales on older very popular titles I think its pretty decent.

Everytime a dude uses the word sonygaf I'm just gonna point out the "your prediction at end of the generation" thread and "4k bluray" thread

I think for most who use SonyGAF don't use it as in "GAF is sony biased fanboys" but rather use it to describe that part of GAF which have clear preference on Sony consoles. And there's nothing wrong with that. Of course there are those with persecution complex and they use it to mock others, but they are small, albeit sometimes very loud minority.

TLG holding on is surprising. Pleasantly so, of course.

Oops, soz... forgot saying anything too positive about TLG is apparently "pro-Sony spin" :P

Btw this is the first week since the release that COD IW is on top of BF1 as most played on Xbox.

https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/store/most-played/games/xbox

just the uk, tho
us BF1 is still ahead

people say sonygaf, because here on gaf are way more sony fany than xbox fans
ofc its meant to be an insult, but there is truth in it

people in general like to generalize. that's probably why

Really? I feel like there are more vocal and loud nintendo fans around here

Basically, same with VitaGaf, AnimeGaf or PopGaf.

It's not exclusively of Sony games, it happened some years ago with Nintendo on MediaCreate threads with itprintsmoney.gif or JapanisNintendoLand.jpg over and over again.
Only I would like more discussion on first pages or, at least, not see same gifs for 45th time.

I'm preparing for Knack dancing gif come back this year.

Probably...

But he is comparing FFXIII (4 weeks 235k) vs FFXV (6 weeks < 250k) on retail.

We can only hope GFK publish the TOP20 2016 best seller to have a better ideia.

Top 20? Final Fantasy XV won't make it into the top 20 with less than 250,000 units.

where is the yearly chart? though we would get something last week already :(

Yearly report should be in this week's issue of MCV magazine.

I will post the UK yearly chart thread soon, here is a preview:

Top 50 cut off is < 100,000 (Steep hadn't reached 100,000 units as of week 52, 2016)
Top 25 cut off is < 250,000 (Rocket League reached 250,000 in week 1, 2017)

Screen_Shot_2017-01-12_at_10.15.34.png

I was about to say 'poor Deus Ex' but I continued checking the list and oh boy there are so many underperformances in that list that it's depressing.
Still, very interesting preview. Really looking forward to your OT, Bruno

What shocking taste in games we (the UK) have. Where are all the Japanese developed games?

Which other Japanese games were you expecting to chart in a top 50 yearly all format chart? If I exclude Pokémon, Final Fantasy and Dark Souls I don't see any other Japanese game that had the potential to get close to 100,000 units.

Even a big profile title like Deus Ex: Mankind Divided barely made it in to the top 50.
