I guess the corresponding week last year was as bad as this one. The YTD changes remained about the same. We'll see how that holds up next few weeks.

There is a story in MCV UK about how there is a drought of almost no releases in July and early August with "a handful of Nintendo titles and a Smurfs 2 tie-in". Then five titles in one week on the 23rd on August. That could get quite ugly.

Codemasters take a second week at the top of the All Formats Chart with ‘Grid 2’ (-52%) despite more than a 50% drop in sales. The racer is still well ahead of ‘FIFA 13’ (-36%) which holds the No2 for a third week ahead of two of this week’s new releases. Capcom are back in the Top 10 with ‘Remember Me’ new at No3. The new IP is developed by French studio Dontnod Entertainment and just edges out another new comer ‘The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Legendary Edition’ at No4. Bethesda’s new release includes all the downloadable content and expansions breathing more life into a title which first appeared back in Week 45 2011. Ubisoft slip down a place as ‘Far Cry 3’ (19%) drops to No5 ahead of ‘Dead Island: Riptide’ (-35%) at No6. Square Enix and ‘Tomb Raider’ (-12%) climb from No10 to No7 while Nintendo’s 3DS title ‘Luigi’s Mansion 2’ (-14%) climbs back into the Top 10 at No8. It pushes another Nintendo 3DS title ‘Donkey Kong Country Returns’ (-30%) down to No9. ‘Assassin’s Creed III’ (-37%) drops down from No6 to No10.
