PAL Charts - Week 27, 2012

I wonder if Kingdom Hearts 3D has topped the UK Individual Formats (Units) chart.

If they distributed it in UK as they did in Italy, it'll be N°40 (3ds only titles)...
I swear: it was absolutly impossible to find it here in Italy...

It was incredible how Nintendo poorly shipped KH3D in Italy.
Luckily, I had a review copy, but I heard and read people who could not find a single copy anywhere.

Yes, I still can't believe BbS debuted so well despite how PSP games were performing overall in UK.

‘Lego Batman 2: DC Super Heroes’ (-10%) holds on to No1 for a heroic five weeks in a row, which is more consecutive weeks at the top than any other title so far this year. The Olympics is a week away and in preparation sales of Sega’s official London 2012 game rise by 5%, keeping it ahead of ‘Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: Future Soldier’ (+40%) which jumps 2 places to No3, boosted by a price drop. Activision’s two Top 10 titles ‘The Amazing Spider-Man’ (-28%) and ‘Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3’ (-4%) take the next two slots at No’s 4 and 5 respectively. In a quiet week, there is only one Top 40 new entry, Square-Enix/Nintendo’s ‘Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance’ new at No6. It’s the second biggest 3DS launch so far in 2012 (behind ‘Resident Evil: Revelations). Perhaps boosted by the cinema release of the new film, ‘Batman: Arkham City’ (+37%) climbs back into the Top 10 at No7 ahead of Sega’s second Olympic hopeful ‘Mario & Sonic at the London 2012 Olympic Games’ (+13%) which jumps 2 places to No8. The Top 10 is rounded off by previous All Formats No1s ‘Max Payne 3’ (+23%) at No9 and ‘The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim’ (-15%) at No10.

below RER. what a bomb...

Mmmmh, RE:R did about 10-11k in its first week, right? However, if that was REALLY low for a Resident Evil title compared to other titles ( not just the obvious RE5), Kingdom Hearts hasn't such bad comparisons. The brand isn't so strong in UK. The best result chartwise has been...KH BbS on PSP. Both KH and KH2 debuted in the lowest positions of multi SKU top 40.

However, we all know it'll drop like a rock next week, right? :(

Oh, here we go, from an old thread, when Epic Mickey debuted badly in UK

No Kingdom Hearts game ever crossed 100k (although I and II did cross 50k) in the UK. Disney just doesn't seem have the same appeal there as in the US.

Its looking like ninty have a long hard road ahead of them in the uk, i wonder if the 3dxl will boost hardware and software i have a feeling it wont.

Chart-Track site isn't working to me, is it the same for everyone else? I hope we don't risk there won't be datas today.

It won't. That thing only appeals to a subset of existing 3DS owners and Nintendo fans who held out for a revision. Perhaps that's why Nintendo UK felt that they could get away with packaging it without an AC adaptor.

How well did NSMB and NSMB Wii do in their respective launches in the UK? I'm guessing that NSMB 2 should at least place in the lower reaches of the top ten.

People acting as if KH titles sold million in the past in UK. Game started just fine and will sell better in the main land.

This for you MPL90.

I wonder what effect the influx of pre-owned 3DS' will have on 3DS figures.

These are not good times for handhelds in the UK.

Oh, finally!
Lego Batman 2 for 3DS should be just outside top 40, since it's 35th in the Individual Value Chart.

For the rest, Tom Clancy's really benefitted from the price drop, as well as Max Payne. Arkham City too, due to TDKR's release in cinemas. Mario & Sonic increasing due to Olympics incoming, like London 2012.

Ah, right, KH3D did better than LB2 on 360.
Since KH3D is lower than 11k, LB2 will be too. So, Lego Batman 2 ALL SKUs is lower than 31.400 units.
