the game is not on either 360 or PS3 chart for it's first full week, it must have sold 3 copies total considering numbers on the chart are very low in this time of the year.

Another Square-Enix super bomb.

Was this chart already posted? I'm not sure so I'll just post it.

Sorry for bumping the thread in case we already had that list.

It is possible to use a normal PS3 controller to play Dead Space Extraction PS3 as well :)

I know but lets be fair, using a DS3 controller for what is essentially a light gun game is hardly the preferred control method and also I don't think I've met anyone outside of a forum that even knows that it can be played using a regular controller, even people on here didn't know.

It only sold 95 copies less than the original less than a 100 unit difference and a 48% drop is not terrible don't HD games usually drop close to 70% in their second week. Don't know if it will match the original due to the bundling of the first but I would say it has already done much better than the naysayers would of had us to believe it would do.

How do you know how much it sold? We don't have numbers.

It was reported by Chart Track last week:

Developed by UK studio Media Molecule, ‘LittleBigPlanet 2’ is the first in the franchise to achieve top spot in the All Formats Chart. The original PS3 game which launched to much acclaim back in week 45 2008 could only manage No4. Launch week sales of the first and second LittleBigPlanet games are almost identical with the latest game only 95 sales short of the original.

Not actually that important
Great for Dead Space.
I knew it was going to be a success. The first one bombed hard, but thenit went to sell huuuuge since the market was flooded with £6 and €9 copies pretty much anywhere. People picked it up after that and warmed to a fantastic and criminally overlooked game... And now it shows on DS2's sales.

The more 'cheap flood' but quality games that have great sequel sales, the more £5 games I get to buy. I like this kind of marketing - more please!

Hmm, that's an odd split given the free PS3 DS2 content.

This is what I thought, but apparently I must have been trolling for thinking so in the OT.

Not to mention:

a) platform parity
b) one disc
c) advertised as a PS3 exclusive

Sorry, i missed this reply earlier. Ye, i agree with that using a DS3 controller isnt exactly the best way to play a light gun game indeed. I just wanted to mention that people without a Move controller could also play the game :) But as you say, maybe not many people know that they can use a controller for this game, like i didnt know this before i tried the game myself.

Every single time.

Look there'll always between 50:50 to 70:30 to 360 depend on genre.
If PS3 lead more than 5% on spilt then it's massive miracle. That's it.

Im sure the ps3 version would've sold more had there been zero competition. PS3 owners chose to buy lpb2 from the looks of it.

The gap between PS3 and 360 in the UK isn't even close to the gap between them in the US, and many games in the US are pretty close WITHOUT the benfits and advantgaes Dead Space 2 PS3 received.

In the end, I'm making it sound more important than it is, which isn't my intention, it's awesome that this amazing series is getting the recognition it deserves. The first game will go down as an unheralded classic.

I was just surprised given the special treatment the PS3 version got in PAL land.

Germany must be the prototype "Nintendo Nation" by now. Wii Party which theoretically should be hugely popular everywhere only seems to have the legs you'd expect it to have in Germany.

Actually when you take a look at the recent European charts for 2010 France is possibly the European country where Nintendo's popularity is the strongest. I'm sure the Netherlands rank quite high (maybe as high as France), but I don't think we got the 2010 chart for it.

I's not weird. These are very slow weeks for sales and new entries can enter top 10 with somehow good openings. Second week drops push them outside top 10.

My estimations had them at 1.783M on 360 and 1.292M on PS3 for 2010. A quite big error for 360 version (3% is actually kinda good considering the method), but I reckon it's good enough overall to post estimates for current COD sales (obviosly the error grows over time) as long as CT provides week over week percentage changes.

It might not be that big actually, AssBro PS3 might be just outsight Top 10 within the usual 25-30% difference for multiplatform games.

This week sees EA’s ‘Dead Space 2’ at No1 for a second consecutive week (-47%) with EA holding 4 of the Top 10 (up from 3 last week).

Up one place to No2 is EA’s ‘FIFA 11’ (+28%) and also up one at No3 is Ubisoft’s ‘Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood’ (-5%). Activision Blizzard drop one place to No4 with ‘Call of Duty: Black Ops’ (-12%) and Sony drop 3 places to No5 with ‘LittleBigPlanet 2’ (-56%). Ubisoft remain at No6 with ‘Just Dance 2’ (-14%) and EA’s third Top 10 title ‘Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit’ is also a non-mover at No7 (+16%). Nintendo’s ‘Art Academy’ on DS climbs one place to No8 (-1%) and EA’s ‘The Sims 3’ re-enters the Top 10, up 4 places to No9 (+11%). Nintendo then take the next 3 positions with ‘Wii Fit Plus’ at No10 (-25%) followed by 2 new releases: ‘Mario Vs Donkey Kong: Mini-Land Mayhem’ for DS debuts at No11 and ‘Mario Sports Mix’ for Wii is new at No12.

The only other new release to make the Top 40 this week is EA’s ‘The Sims 3: Outdoor Living Stuff’ at No25 which is the 7th add-on/expansion and helps to explain why ‘The Sims 3’ broke back into the Top 10 this week.
